"Il Giglio Bianco" Sorrento B&B

😊: The location was perfect to be a short walk to Centre of Sorrento so not too loud. Air con was a relief and the balcony awesome. Kitchen was stocked with cutlery and plates and could make lunches etc. brekkie food also. Angelo was lovely also.. 😢: Bed was a little too hard and only one pillow each. Keys were tricky for the doors. Be aware of many flights of stairs to get up with luggage so if you have mobility issues not for you. In saying that Angelo was kind enough to help me with my case and we did book knowing there were stairs..

😊: Breakfast was okay. It was located near a street with many shops and dining spots. Not too far a walk tyo old historical centre.. 😢: We experienced a very long and dangerous walk along a busy highway with .5 meter wide shoulder from bus drop-off to get there. Dodging construction materials in stair hall was unpleasant. Worse was huge deposit of well established black mold growing in washroom and starting to spread to the bedroom. Asked owner Angelo to be transferred to other room, he said none available. He told us not to worry as he would get painter in to disinfect and repaint the next day, so we slept there. I caught a minor lung infection. We stayed out all day so that the work could be done, but upon return, we saw that he had only wiped it down the mold in the washroom and you could still see it clearly. It was so bad that I had to sleep in kitchen on chairs to avoid making my breathing worse. Told him we were leaving the next morning and he asked if he could charge for both nights!!!! As soon as we left, he posted the room for rent again without cleaning it. DO NOT STAY THERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH..

😊: The stuff was nice. The location was convenient and very near to historical center. The room was big enough and clean. There was a kitchen zone with 24 hour access to coffee, tea and some small snacks.. 😢: The main problem was that the apartments are on the last floor and there was no elevator, and the stairs are high, so it is difficult to climb with suitcases. The linen and towels need renovation..

😊: Location, though hard to find initially.. 😢: Dangerous walk from bus stop, dodging construction materials in staircase but mold in bathroom and bedroom sealed it. Owner claimed to not have other rooms to accommodate us while having t repainted, but just wiped it down. I contracted mould infection, slept second night in kitchen then found alternate place and left. Owner, Angelo did not ask how I was just of he could charge for night sleeping in moldy suite and second night sleeping on chairs in kitchen. He never apologized..

Location is good. 16 min walk from sorrento station and pretty much walk to main streets and beach. 5* for that. Room is big enough for a couple. There is a shared kitchen area where u can have coffe or tea or use cutlery. It has a nice balcony with a nice view and it is quite. A small fridge is also available. Now bed is awful. We had a double bed with 2 single mattresses, pillows are not nice either. My neck still hurts. Shower is ok size for 1 person and ours leaked and the toilet wouldn't flush fully at 1st. Always try 2 or 3 times. There is no lift to the 3rd floor so be prepared to carry everything up and down. Breakfast is literally a couple of pastries with tea or coffe so don't bother paying extra for that. Service is so so. It felt like everytime we had issues and ask for help, he ( dont remember the name, sorry) would look at us like we have ruined his entire day. It was not worth the price we paid but than again this is Sorrento, nothing was worth it there. They do offer to clean your room or change towels so that is nice. We stayed 4 nights.

😊: Location. 😢: - fridge in the room was broken, owner knew about it and didn't change it - one day (of three) without hot water - breakfast 4/10 - AC was set to 16 degrees and it wasnt possible to change it..

Black mould on washroom and bedroom walls. Rust on handrails and balcony furniture. Construction equipment in staircase. Public health and safety hazard.

We, a family of 4, with an 11 and 13 years old kids, stay 6 days in that B&B. It is an excellent location in Sorrento near a lot of interesting site (Capri, Pompei, Amalfi coast)||It was clean and the air conditionning was excellent. Our room for 4 persons was comfortable, with 2 balconies and the small fridge in the room works correctly. The main kitchenette has glasses, cuttelery and dishes. They supply good pastry, yogourt, milk, coffee and juice. There was a dishwashing machine. A fridge with a freezer was added during our stay.||The host doesn't leave there, so they have to be contacted before arrival time to get the keys. I would not suggest you this place if you cannot climb multiple stairs, however they offer help to bring our luggages upstair at our arrival. We bought fruit to have a more healthy breakfast and kept them in our fridge. We take-out pizza ( 5 minutes walk pizzeria) as dinner on small table at our lovely balcony and observe the neighberhood families with all those lemon trees...Beautiful family stay !

This is a small b&b located about a 10 minute walk from Piazza Tasso, the main square in Sorrento. It only has a few rooms and I suspect they will fill up quickly during the high season. The B&B is located 5 flights up with no lift but the friendly and accomodating owner is strong as an ox and willing to help lug suitcases up the stairs! We didn't mind the flights too much because we figured it would burn some of the calories we were eating and drinking during our holiday in Italy. Our room was average in size with a nice little balcony, air conditioning and a small refrigerator. It was very clean and comfortable but no frills. A light breakfast consisting of small donuts, bread, yogurt, coffee/tea and juice is included in the price. We enjoyed our stay!
