Il Girasole

Over two days in Sirmione, this is the best restaurant we had the chance to try out. The primi piatto ravioli with foie gras and ragu was delicious and pizza bresaola truffle nut mozzarella as well (maybe the dough could be slighltly less dry?). The tiramisu was amazing! Incredible taste and texture and the plate was completed with a coffee macaron and red berries. Excellent food and wine in a nice atmosphere. I strongly recommend this restaurant.

Great food, great lighting inside, service was fantastic. There was a little wait between appetizers and main courses but the vibes between didn’t make it feel too long. The food itself was tasty, meat and cheese plates gave great portions to try everything as well! We got 2 different steak options and both were fantastic cooked perfectly.

What a great diner! Everything was literally perfect. It's not something I would say easily. The setting was beautiful, dining in the old centre beneath a tree. The food (we had the spaghetti with truffle, deer filled and sea bass served in pink salted bed) was amazing! Never tasted fish this good. Service was amazing, sweet, thoughtful. Everything you could wish for!

The food is delicious and the presentation is great. Very good location and atmosphere. When we arrived they were fully booked, but the owner was kind and accomodated us as soon as possible. Mimmo, our waiter, was super kind and fun, prividing great services and making the whole experience excellent.

Simply the best place we’ve eaten in Italy yet. Staff were charming and greeted us with a small glass of Prosecco. The steak was perfectly cooked and tender. I had the pasta which was just delicious. The pudding was fantastic.

Absolutely gorgeous food and wine. Complimentary glass of prosecco. Food was beautifully presented and flavours were good. We had 3 courses and I would say this was a higher budget meal but worth it. Service was great and friendly, attentive without being disruptive. No lake view but everything else made up for it

Excellent place that's tucked in the corner with great food worth the price! A must try if you're in the town because the meals are not too heavy so you can have it before a boat ride! Must try the tiramisu, it's smooth, light, creamy and it comes with a price of delicious dark chocolate and lemon macaron. The ravioli was also a must try as it is cooked perfectly with a thick bit not fishy paste of scallop. The truffle pasta is great for truffle lovers who love cheese as well! It's a generous serving of truffle along with caviar and it is a lovely dish to get for lunch Overall, great restaurant!

Great experience ! So accommodating when we arrived with our old dog. Got a great table inside. Our waiter, Mimmo was amazing! Love that guy. Made us all feel welcome and appreciated. Thank you.

Best restaurant yet. Very fancy presentation. Reasonable prices for the great quality. Great wine selection at good prices. Nice outside seating. It's a hit.

This place was wonderful. We arrived without a reservation (I highly recommend making a reservation) and they were able to find us a table. We liked everything we ordered here! The best thing, in my opinion, is the pasta with tomato, garlic, and burrata. I scarfed down the entire thing. My mother and my aunt enjoyed their dishes as well - I tried both and they were super yummy. Service was impeccable and the welcome drink / small desserts on the house really added to the experience. We considered coming here two nights in a row, and I wish we had. Top notch.

The waiters were eating their dinner and not serving us, therefore the service was extremely slow. My order was completely incorrect the first time. I ordered a wagyu steak and it was the fattiest, worst slice of meat I have ever had in my life. The lamb chops were also fatty, but fine. The bolognese was also fine, probably the best part of the meal or the potatoes, which are hard to mess up.

The people at the next table ate here twice in a row, and I understand why! Very high quality food served in a pleasant outdoor patio (if you reserve), for a super reasonable price. The complimentary extras were also unexpected (and unnecessary to make it a good deal--there was a free full glass of Prosecco, some tasty popovers, and insanely, a full bottle of white wine in a gift bag, delivered after paying our bill!) but all that is a distraction to the truly excellent food and dining experience. Our highlight was the Parmesan and mushroom tart(?) appetizer, which seemed like a savory soufflé. We also enjoyed the ravioli (with truffles!), and the lamb and blueberry main. We ordered the "chocolate three ways" dessert, which was good, but not as amazing as the savory part of the meal (or maybe we were just too full...)

This place is both delicious and the staff wonderful. We came for an early dinner, being from USA, wanted to eat soon. The scallops appetizer was the best tasting scallops I have ever had, tender with an amazing sauce, must order! The wine list has many options, the local grape, starts with a V is a smooth and great red wine, definitely order a carafe with your meal. This is a must try location when visiting Sirmione!

Great pizza and friendly staff. The buffalo mozzarella salad was very good.
