Best food for the beach. Very good reasonable prices. Service excellent. They take cash and credit card. We really like the potato and rosemary plus the margarita.

This place was recommended by our tour guide. They had a wide variety to choose from and everything we tried was delicious! The service here was also very fast and friendly. Overall great spot!

We ate chocolate cornetto and foccacia al pesto. Cornetto was okay but foccacia was amazing. Coffees were average. Recommended with the amazing view.

It's a pretty basic focaccia shop. The flavors are pretty standard and the saltiness is nice but dull. The pesto is more oily than paste like. It kind of runs. You'll very easily find better bread and pesto on the inside of town. Remember, you're in a tourist hot spot. The prices are cheap which is great considering they're in the main tourist area. Staff is nice and speaks English plus the line is very quick if there is one.

Such a nice small place right by the train station! They have lots of options and staff were helpful. They heated up what we got and were quick, despite the line. A good size for the price and packed with flavour.

Went there just to drop a parcel for Irene, but the smell of fresh bread and the long queue pulled me in. Waited 30 minutes and ordered a panini and pesto focaccia, hands down the best I’ve had. Still craving it. Totally worth the detour. 🌿🍞

Google
nice focaccia. definitely try the pesto one. that pesto is sublime. the ingredients are fresh and tasty. there was a queue and i had to wait 30 minutes to get the focaccia. it was a good focaccia but was it worth a 30 minutes wait under the scorching heat? i dont know.

Nice place in a nice a position (just next to the train station and in front of the beach). Discrete food (cheese focaccia is not). Pizza is really tasty. A bit too expensive for what it offers.

Yelp
Focaccia doesn't get any better than this! Take my word for it. Monterroso is the largest town of the Cinque Terre, but the biggest thing it has going for it, in my book, is their focaccia, a well-known Ligurian specialty. The nice thing about this place is its close proximity, right by the train station, directly on the left as you come into town. You can't miss it, as it's the first you'll see of many places serving focaccia in town. The not so nice feature is the long lines during the warm weather. No need to fret, as it moves fairly quickly. You'll have the option of having your focaccia room temperature or heated. I strongly suggest having it lightly heated, the way it's intended to be eaten. Since it's made with lots of olive oil, having it heated helps to just slightly crisp both the top and the bottom, making a great contrast to the soft interior. I've never attempted making focaccia at home, but now I'm tempted to at least try this. I never ever have focaccia in the San Francisco Bay Area. Never Ever. Even the so-called best places really suck. If I could, I would have focaccia every day here. We've had plenty of focaccia from well-known bakeries in Florence since coming here and they've all been outstanding. However, we keep thinking back to the phenomenal one we had here at Il Massimo. We had ours smeared all over with their fresh brilliant green pesto, and it was to die for! Seriously. We just purchased focaccia for dinner from a local bakery in Florence tonight, and though it was excellent, it wasn't quite as good as the one at Il Massimo, where they specialize in focaccia. Actually, they don't just specialize in focaccia, they excel in focaccia!!

Yelp
So good. Wonderful food. Note their credit card system was down so they only accepted cash

Yelp
When you get off the train in Monterosso, this is going to be the first thing you smell. It's going to lure you in. You didn't know you were even hungry until now. You didn't know you wanted a gigantic square of focaccia the size of your head, very immediately, right now, without delay. Do you want pesto on it? Yes, you do. There are 6+ types of focaccia to choose from with various toppings, each one even more delicious looking than the last. Having had my fill of red sauce in Rome, I opted for the plain focaccia with pesto sauce on it. Don't let the word "plain" fool you--with a little EVOO and salt, this options more than stands on its own as an option for consumption. I was craving some pesto, and I'm glad I got it here. Grab it, hold it, eat it, all while standing on the sidewalk looking out into the Ligurian Sea. Since it's a ~10 minute walk to the main part of Monterosso, you'll want to stop here, even if for no other reason than to fuel up for your walk.

Yelp
Beckoned by the delicious smells as I got off the train, I'm so glad I decided that I needed some focaccia at 3:30PM. Though I was skeptical given train proximity and location right on the beach/seeming to be the only game in town, the focaccia was delicious. Light and airy, tomato and cheese pizza-esque toppings had great flavor. A perfect hold-over snack until dinner - be sure to make a stop here while at the beach!

Yelp
best focaccia in the world. and i've had it all. would go all the way back to italy just to eat this again. i dream of it every night. have not been able to find focaccia even remotely close to this place's. i'd die for this place. we should all die for it. i would pay so much money to be able to eat this focaccia. DO NOT TAKE IT FOR GRANTED. anyone who doesn't give a five star review doesn't know what they're talking about. spent 6 months in italy, this was the best food i had.
