A must-visit during your Rome adventures! This incredible family-owned restaurant with a 100 year tradition, located near the Vatican, surprised us in many ways. First the staff - we went twice during our short visit and both times we received impeccable service and had a lot of fun too! Everyone was helpful, polite and threw in a good joke here and there. The food was amazing honestly, we’ve tried different things each time but all of it was memorable. Bresaola is a must! All the food was delicious in its simplicity. It’s also very reasonably priced. Both times we went there during lunch and on the weekend, first time we were lucky with a table outside, but second time it was all booked up so if you’d like to ensure you sit outside, it’s best to make a reservation. Honestly I can’t wait to be back next time I visit Rome!

This was disappointing. Melanzane without melanzane. A very grey vegetable stew. Grilled lambchops that were porkchops in a crust. Saltimboca that could blow of the plate if the window was open. Ice with large icecrust because it was made the week before and tiramisu from the factory. On top of that dirty toilets. It is a touristtrap.

Food was pretty good but nothing special. A little pricey and the service was decently long.

Manuel is a great waiter, he suggested us unforgettable dishes and we spent a great experience. We then came for a second time! Unforgettable

Google
Absolute recommendation! We had several starters, Roman style oxtail and Danish ribeye steak with mixed salad. Both were delicious and very good combination with house red wine. Finished with very tasty crème brûlée. Service was amazing as well the ambience. We’ll get back for sure.

Me and my partner came here twice on our holiday. Both times the service was absolutely incredible and made the night each time. The Roman Chicken with Peppers is really great, and a really strong carbonara dish as well. It was where we went on our last night and the evening felt really special. Massive thank you to the wait staff, a genuine delight to talk to.

Google
In a city full of tourist restaurants, this was a welcome authentic Roman meal (even though we were tourists). Everything was perfection from the deep fried artichoke ("Jewish style") to the Bucatini, everything was delicious. Service was professional and attentive without being stuffy. Wonderful meal and highly recommended

Our hotel receptionist recommended this to us. It was surprisingly good. The bread is automatic +3€, a standard in restaurants. We paid 74€ for 3 types of appetizers, two main course, one dessert + water, & bread/table fee. Wine is actually cheaper than Coke, which is 5€. Customer service was exceptional! Just be prepare to have some word of Italian such as numbers, bill please, and thank you.

Yelp
Quite accidentally, we ate here on our last night in Rome last Spring. Divine! It was a full house, and we probably snagged the last table outside. While service was harried, they were still personable and efficient - the norm in this glorious country. I can't quite remember what we ate except for the squash blossoms and the puntarelle salad, but I know we left happy. So sophisticated, yet so warm, friendly and delicious at the same time. Longing to be back.

Yelp
Excellent restaurant, very authentic italian place and a calm and relaxing roman atmosphere. The pasta was as always very fresh with a wonderful combination of flavours. The tiramisu at the end was incredible.

Yelp
Superb service by the waiters who were patient to us tourists and knowledgable as to the restaurant's food and our tastes. Ambiance outside was just what people come to Rome for. Food was simply excellent. Can't recommmend enough

Yelp
My wife and I had Sole which was steamed with a white sauce. Absolutely delicious. We ordered a side of chicory which was neither too spicy or salty but perfect! Our glass of wine was a very good Shiraz. Very very good- red not white but who's keeping score!

Yelp
Beautiful setting. They zucchini blossoms and fried artichokes were AMAZING! Very extensive wine list and some great bubbly as well. This was our 2nd meal of the day. Our waiter was so great, it was the perfect last night in Roma! Thank you

Yelp
This is my favorite restaurant in Rome. No idea why the reviews aren't higher. Their tiramisu is perfect and they are so kind.

Yelp
Stopped by for lunch today on a whim and then the more average yelp reviews which I read after sitting down made me nervous. The food was good, I really liked the fried artichoke and artichoke pasta, my husband liked his pasta dish as well. I do think based on other restaurants in the area it was a bit pricey, but it was a nice/higher end ambiance, service was good, food was good. Yum!

Yelp
Top-notch professional service. Stopped by for a fancy cocktail and was quite impressed with their mule (and candied ginger garnish). Quite lovely clam spaghetti and an amazing chocolate truffle ice cream dessert were topped off by a generous vocabulary instruction. "Molto buona!"

Yelp
Delicious pasta (I ordered the egg fettuccine in tomato and basil sauce), great service and a cool vibe in the evening. Our waitress was friendly, quick and offered great recommendations. The highlight of the meal was the wild strawberries and cream gelato. Amazing!

Yelp
We were a party of 5 for lunch and we all loved it. The wine, the apps, and the entrees we all delicious. I ate the supli and spinach ravioli. They melted in my mouth. It's very hard to find good supli and, other than my husband's, this was one of the best I've ever had. Everyone else loved their food as well. Giuseppe, our waiter, was a great fun....he photo bombed our picture! We go to Rome every year and now that we discovered this gem we will be going every time.

Yelp
This is my favorite restaurant in Rome. You will not find many tourists or Americans here, it is a local restaurant which also requires a reservation because of its popularity. The pasta is absolutely amazing and for desert you must try the tiramisu.

Yelp
This restaurant looks enticing on the outside but is not worth the effort to walk inside.....KEEP GOING! Terrible service: impatient waiters who can't be bothered to take your order or deliver your drinks before your food. Throw your food at you and make you ask 4 times for the check. The food.....basically the same as ravioli and Ragu....terrible. The only thing going for this location is....well I can't think of one.

Yelp
Exceptional dinner!! Fine dining, excellent service and variety of unique entrees. If you are tired of the same offerings at every restaurant (pizza, pasta, bruschetta). Then this place is for you. My husband and I had a hard time deciding on what we wanted to order because of so many good choices. Oxtail stew, lamb brains, amazing artichokes, etc etc. I highly recommend the house pasta ( the exact name is to long to remember but they should know). I would've posted photos but food was so good that I didn't take the time to stop eating.

Yelp
An original Roman destination!! Insalata di ovuli and the Matriciana are a must.

Yelp
Are we serious? I'm Italian, from Rome, I was there for lunch, I was late and the kitchen was almost to close, but they told us to seat without problems... First the waiter said in italian to the other "do they have to seat on my side?" then we order, I ask an amatriciana and the waiter suggested to do with egg pasta. I said thanks but no thanks, Amatriciana is with regular pasta. He said that it would have taken to long so gave me the one with the egg...no bacon (pancetta) at all was a regular pasta al sugo. The table near us had to call back him because he took away their wine with wine in it. Another table complained like me for the same reason. 2 stars only because the artichokes were good. But never again, if you are in hurry to close the kitchen don't let me seat.

Yelp
Nice vegetables. I loved the artichoke 'alla giuda' (deep fried) and the roasted peppers. But the rigatoni carbonara were a disappointment. Too much like pasta with scrambled eggs.

Yelp
This is our favorite restaurant in Rome. We love the house appetizer and have many great traditional pasta dishes that we enjoy!

Yelp
Our taxi driver gave us the name of the wonderful restaurant! Not one tourist here, yet an easy walk to the Vatican from here. The Millefoglie was absolutely incredible, as was the whole meal!

Yelp
After having lived in Rome for 6 months, I have to say, this was one of the most disappointing meals ive had. My husband and I came here to celebrate on our honeymoon and we left beyond upset with the whole experience. The waiter failed to acknowledge us for a long time and once coming to our table, he didn't not even try to converse with us, and he forgot to give us a wine menu for 30 mins. Then he rushed us through ordering our entire meal in 5 minutes. That being said, good food can usually make up for poor service, but in this circumstance, that was not the case. All of our vegetables were overcooked, the pasta was the worst I've had in Italy and house wine was so mediocre. We were so frustrated, we didn't even want to order dessert. I highly recommend you go to any of the other of the numerous restaurants in Rome before trying here. This really started our trip off on the wrong note.

Yelp
Food wasn't bad, but you can eat less expensive and much better elswhere in Rome. Staff wasn't motivated at all and very rude when we payed the bill. Especially when the tip, which is not obligated, was to low. Stay away, they don't deserve your visit!
