When I visited the market on 8 February 2026 (Sunday), unfortunately the ground floor section of the market was closed and only the food court on the first floor was open to business. There were a lot of traditional Italian food available. There were abundant seats available as I arrived quite early in the morning. There is also a cooking school next to the food court too. Edit: I revisited the ground floor area in the morning of next day and found one of the most expensive toilets here in Florence (€1.5).

Great place for street food tasting. Nice vibes and many choices. You need just to reset your expectations - is street food :-). After we look to what options a we had we went back and selected a traditional Florence steak - this is typical there and you can find in many restaurants. We selected the meat we want and then we went to find a table. We get one next to a wine place. Waiting time was used to select some local wine. When the steak was ready they came to the table - no need to go and get back. We enjoyed a simple tasteful dinner with a good steak and nice local wine. One notice - if you stay longer because so many restaurants you risk to have your clothes smelling food.

It was OK. There was a variety of food, which turned out to be delicious once we finally figured out how to order it. It was almost impossible to find a soft drink, which was very annoying when we were parched. You just didn’t want to drink beer. There was an excellent Gelateria that we enjoyed for dessert. But all in all we found it a bit of a touristy experience.

This is a great market to visit. We purchased some items from a few of the stalls there and they were all very delicious. Upstairs there is an awesome food court where there are heaps of choices to eat. We also had a coffee and avocado toast here at one of the places and it was great. We also found the whole vibe and people watching fascinating!

Normally I'm not against the idea of looking for good food in markets like this one. Yet I don't find food here very delicious, in my very honest opinion. Food here is not particularly cheap, given that the food stalls are located on the 2nd floor, which the owners should already be paying less rent than legit restaurants. Also, I could taste a very distinct gap between the food cooked from a market stall VS a restaurant. My mushroom fettuccine was the least delicious pasta I have had throughout my 2-weeks trip in Italy─and it still costed EUR15. I would recommend taking the time to check out ground floor, but I won't say it is a must to dine on the 2nd floor. There are many more good restaurant placea nearby.

JUST GO HERE. Literally some of the best food you’ll ever have. From gelato to lasagna, this place has everything and it’s an absolute gem. Literally had the best lasagna ever from here and some other great food too. Do walk around once before your finalize where to eat from since there are way too many options, and something for everyone.

So many tasty dishes all in one area with a fun atmosphere. It was a great place to try all the flavors of Florence and have everyone choose what they wanted. Also in a central location clean and easy to find comfortable seating.
