I hadn't very high expectations because of some negative reviews. But at the end very happy visited the market and had a good day. The vibe is Italian and good

Came to Luino on a Wednesday for the weekly market. Came especially for this. After walking to town from the brand new big parking lot close to the train station we were walking around the food and produce stalls first. Ready-to eat food stalls serving sandwiches, fast and fried food, fish, seafood. Not the greatest of qualities - but cheap and cheerful. The mood and atmosphere was pretty good here, people had fun and the stall owners we met were nice, friendly and not pushy. Bought some cell phone covers, a whole bunch of scarfs, some summer shirts and dresses, an espresso machine and some nice bathroom and kitchen rugs. Before leaving we headed back to the food stalls. Shopped some spice mixes (for pasta, steaks and more), dried morels and porcini mushrooms, pear Pecorino (love it), regular salami, truffle salami and spicy salami. The meat and the cheese came from the Tuscany area - delicious stuff. Of course, there's some cheap stuff, there's some overpriced stuff. But if you bring a bit of time, then you really can get some good stuff and fair deals. We really enjoyed the mercato and were happy with our shopping. The location in Luino is wonderful, the nearby lake beautiful. A great little town with a great market. We'll be back - definitely.

Huge market, every Wednesday, all over the Luino center. Many amazing discoveries to make, from apparel, clothes, shoes, over gadgets and local products to food and spices. Many restaurants and bars, friendly people, relaxed atmosphere. Right next to the Lago Maggiore, with amazing views. Highly recommended! 👌

The market likely has more than 400 stalls. But in fact there are only 12 since they are all very repetitive. 70 stalls with the same leather goods, 30 stalls offering regional cheese and salamis. And so on. Yes, it is a nice experience to go there, just dont expect too much.

Very dissapointing market. 90% of the stands are full of the same kind of products, too cheap and made somewhere in Asia. Not a lot of authentic Italian products.

Wow,this actually brought back memories of my childhood marketplaces, where you could buy all and nothing, and a little bit of everything. It's huge, and everyone can find something for oneself. Watch out for the shady characters walking around selling fake jewellery🤓 If you want to avoid crowds, best time to go is before 9am

Reached by boat from Locarno in 1,5 hours trip.. (two way about 37.00) Very nice but plenty of people/tourists..don't miss it..

Lots of Chinese selling clothes and bags made in China, beggars and African guys trying the old "friends bracelet" scam. Best things are foods sold by real Italians - and those items are worth buying. No thanks.
