Il Mondo Boutique Hotel

We loved this hotel! Very calming and welcoming. Very comfortable beds and truly polite and helpful staff. Our room was calm and spacious with a good size balcony and amazingly comfortable beds. It was beautifully clean and with lovely eco toiletries. We ate in two local restaurants nearby including the Japanese next door which was excellent. The spot has everything you need - including a night owl! - if you don’t fancy venturing out again far after a day in the city. I will recommend this to everyone I know who is planning a trip to Brisbane.

Lovely, basic little room (booked stair only access) that was in a fantastic location with the most wonderful service I think I've ever received upon arrival at a hotel! The gentleman (I'm so sorry, I've forgotten your name!) was so lovely and I had a very enjoyable stay. Room was comfortable and I loved that it was a short walk to the ferry to head over to Eat Street for the night. I've since recommended to others looking to stay in the area.

From the very first moment of booking and contact with this hotel, I was very impressed. Chris, who corresponded with me on various details and welcomed us to the property upon arrival, was an absolute gentleman and so kind. Nothing was too much trouble and he went above and beyond in his hospitality. His recommendations and informative tips were first class and very helpful. His team were also very kind and helpful throughout our stay.||The decor and atmosphere of the hotel was very calming and the fragrances in the corridors were invigorating and so pleasant.||The room was exquisite and fully equipped en suite bathroom, with lots of space and so clean and neat. Everything worked very well and had the feel of being well serviced. ||For those who like continental breakfasts there is a delightful little breakfast room opposite the reception and it is well-stocked for that type of meal. For those who would prefer a bigger and cooked breakfast there are a couple of lovely options along Deakin Street called “Tuppy’s” and in the Story Bridge Hotel. ||The Japanese restaurant also offers some very Japanese fare for lunch and dinner and is adjacent to the hotel. Likewise, the Story Bridge Hotel, which we preferred, and which has an enormous bar and rabbit warren of seating areas. ||We highly recommend the Il Mondo Boutique Hotel and will definitely head back there should we have opportunity to return to Australia and Brisbane in the future.

Last minute booking. I arrived after hours but the check in process was quick and smooth. Lovely hotel with everything you need for a short or longer stay. The recommendation for Story Bridge hotel was spot on and the breakfast was great. Definitely recommend and I would stay again.

Lovely hotel with a very friendly host, Chris, and equally attentive and welcoming staff. Spacious, clean rooms with a view of the Story Bridge. The restaurant, shop, bakery, and CityCat ferry are all within walking distance – in fact, just around the corner, as we like to say.

Second visit, and would definitely stay again. This time I booked into one of their budget stair accessed rooms. Which other than the stairs and being smaller, was just as nice, as comfortable and as clean. Staff again very professional, polite and helpful. This place definitely takes pride in what they do and it shows. Also, the extra bonus of not having to pay for parking on-site. All this plus being very conveniently located, only one block from the bus stop, patisserie, cafes and hotel, you won't want for anything.

Lovely little motel, just across the road from the Storey Bridge Hotel, where we were attending an event. The room was clean, bed was comfortable with a spacious bathroom and balcony. We left our phone charger behind and the lovely team emailed me and offered to post it out to us. Definitely will stay again.

Fabulous accommodation and location. Very spacious 1 bedroom apartment with lots of windows and balconies and therefore a lot of natural light. Nearby buildings are not so close to block out the light.||Very clean, well maintained and decorated for what appears to be an older building.||Location is unbeatable with a short walk to the new green bridge across to the city, walk to Story Bridge hotel, convenience store and across to the Valley.||Highly recommend.
