When first arriving, you will get a detailed run down of the area. Everything from how to take the bus, to how to use the shutters, the A/C unit, the nearby hiking trails, taxis service... it can be a bit daunting, but the host is easy to get in touch with, if you forget.
The grounds are beautifully kept, and there is a lighting system if you get back after dark. It is a climb, but everything in Cinque Terre is a climb!
The room itself was quite nice. Incredibly clean, with not a single spot of dust or mold in site. The A/C worked quite well, even though we were on the top floor. There was a fridge, sink, and utensils as well as hanging storage for clothes. The patio had lounge chairs and a table with upright chairs. The host Melissa also put up and took down a large shade umbrella for us each night.
While getting to and from Riomaggiore wasn't as simple as walking down a few steps, the scenery was breathtaking, and quiet. If you meet people along the way who stay at other nearby hotels, you can split a €20 cab with them. Melissa also gave a comprehensive run down of the bus schedule, though they can at times be full.
I would stay here again.
The internet could be a little spotty, but not unbearably so.
