This is a beautiful place to watch the sunset right next to the Spanish steps! The service was great, our drinks were perfect, and we didn’t even have to wait in line (which quickly formed right after we were seated). The bathroom is a cute design and more importantly, it’s very clean. We were only here for a short time but I would come back for the views and excellent service.

After a 23 hour flight it was an absolute delight to obtain an early checkin to the hotel - and what a glorious room (#4)|we had. View - Spanish Steps and beyond.|Breakfast was included at the nearby Hotel Hassler - it was a joy each morning to be welcomed by staff before deciding your choices from the buffet. Service was impeccable.|One might say “why would you stay anywhere else in Rome” - agree wholeheartedly if you can afford.

Beautiful location. Great bar with good food and wine. It's just a shame about the music. Such a beautiful location with such loud and aggressive music. Doesn't suit the area in the slightest

Outstanding location for a drink, we got as many chips and olives refills as we wanted, and it was delicious. Service was the best we’ve had in Rome, the host and hostesses were so nice. Prices might seem high in the beggining but they are worth it for the experience. Thank you !

A fantastic place to rest after climbing the Spanish steps, grab a nice Roman cappuccino and enjoy the view. Highly recommended!

The Great - This four room hotel is an annex to, and gives you access to the great Hassler hotel. The staff and service in the Pallezzetto were great and I can say the same for the Hassler. During our 6 day stay we enjoyed Breakfast at the Hassler daily. The resturant staff were very attentive! We had room #1 in Palazzetto. It was beautifully decorated and furnished and had a lovely large bathroom with bidet, tub and walkin shower too!||The not so Great - we found the temperature control with the heat to be totally unresponsive to thermostat inputs. The room was too warm for our liking even with the heat switched off. Opening the windows was a way to solve the heat issue, but the sound of tourists, etc was quite loud. With the windows closed the exterior sound was nicely shut off also.

My partner and I have stayed at Il Palazzetto at least 3 times now (most recently April 2023). It is a dream hotel, with a dream location. The service and amenities at the Hassler, who manages the property are first rate. The rooms are large and well-appointed with sumptuous beds and linens and elegant bathrooms. I believe 3 of the 4 rooms have views of the Spanish Steps, and the view is incomparable. Bar at Hassler is charming, breakfast is delightful. The service at this hotel couldn't be better. Everyone is customer-focused and very friendly and helpful. As long as I can afford it and there are rooms available, I will never stay elsewhere in Rome - the city with the most to see and (IMO) the best food in the world, and hotels as special as this one.

Yelp
On multiple occasions during our time in Rome we thought that it would be cool to find a rooftop bar, get a drink, sit in the sun, and watch the city below. An hour later, on that very same exceptionally warm, sunny day we happened to run into Il Palazzetto just after visiting the Spanish Steps. We saw the roof, the people, the drinks, and immediately ventured over. Somehow we just walked in and happened to get a table right away, despite the crowds of people around seemingly looking for the exact same thing we were. It was perfect--directly in the sun, amazing view of the city and the steps, warm weather, and excellent service. We had a glass of sparking rose and prosecco, which came with green olives and two kinds of tarralini. When I say green olives, I mean the best green olives either of us have ever tasted. So much so that we got more in a much larger bowl (think cereal sized), and we ate every single one of them. Even though the sun goes down past 8:00pm (at this time of year) they closed up at 7:00pm. Last call was at 6:45, but we had already been there for an hour so the timing was perfect for us, just not so much for the rest of the people outside that wanted to get in. I can't really comment on anything else food, drink, or view related happening on the floors below us, but up on the roof the drinks were bubbly and chilled, the views were amazing, and the olives were absolutely the best we've ever tasted.

Yelp
This rooftop bar is located right beside the Spanish steps, so some of the tables offer some great views of the area. It's a beautiful experience and the service is great. The items are more expensive than you'll find elsewhere but this bar is certainly more about the experience.

Yelp
Set atop the Spanish Steps, it's hard to resist the pull of Il Palazzetto. It's a calming bubble in what can otherwise feel like quite an overpowering area of people playing music and selling plastic wares. We decided to head here for our first drink in Rome and celebrate the holiday. It was easy to find (quite literally at the top of steps), with a lovely entrance way to welcome you in. We quickly found a seat - it wasn't that busy, with only a few couples and one or two families - and settled in. Service wasn't exactly engaged with us at all throughout the experience, which was a shame; they didn't make us feel hugely welcome, but we didn't feel the need to leave at any point. A glass of prosecco and pint of lager were served with a nice selection of nibbles, as is the style in Italy. Vegetable crisps were a firm favourite and even I couldn't deny how lovely the large green olives looked. It's not a cheap option, with cocktails around the €10 mark and prosecco at €8. They do have some craft beer available but you're really breaking the bank on those! Unfortunately for us, the steps are currently under renovation so we couldn't fully experience them, but it was still a good start to the holiday. Recommended if you're walking past and feel like a treat.

Yelp
The location is great, with a wonderful view out on the city and is a nice reward for getting to the top of the steps. Initially we walked right in because we didn't notice anyone in front of us and were blocked like we were intruding the White House and told to go wait in line. Michael was immediately turned off but I was dying of thirst so we waited about 5 minutes and were sat. From then on our service was pretty good. The drinks take a little while but we had yummy little snacks. I had an Amalfi Tea, which was delicious and refreshing and Michael had a Spritz that was actually much better than many I have had before. Regardless, its over priced and filled with tourists. But if you get to the top of the Spanish Steps, want a view and don't mind paying New York prices, pop in for one round.

Yelp
Amazing location above the Spanish Steps. Yes, the drinks are a little higher price but it is a great spot to kick off the evening with a Roman-summer sunset and a glass of prosecco. www.hotelhasslerroma.com

Yelp
I thought this would be nice place to have a drink I was wrong the minute we asked for the check things became fishy Our original waitress disappears and this man takes our credit card and literally we have to chase him down to ask where is our credit card and receipt go sign after 30 minutes , he tells us he lost our credit card !! This place was small we couldn't understand what was going on He pretended to look in a drawer for it when we said we would call police it resurfaced We were being scammed because we were tourist He preceded to be rude not apologetic !! Horrible waiter horrible experience Beware

Yelp
The pizza was pretty good and the service was pretty good . If you want a quick drink i definitely recommend. My very first restaurant in Rome but wasn't too impressed.

Yelp
Provides a much-desired view over the spanish steps. Drinks were nothing special, but the view is enticement enough to get you there. Visit, sit and relax for a moment and take in some scenery.

Yelp
After waiting in line for about 30 mins and after pointing out to the hostess what table we wanted to sit at. She then succeeds to favor a German crown (she was German) over my husband and I and seats them in the table we requested. When we point it out to her she said oh no that table is only for large groups. We then remind her that a party of 2 just finished with the table. She says oh well, I made a mistake, I'm sorry. My husband started arguing with her and all she can say is I made a mistake call the owner and tell them I made a mistake. We asked her to move the party she just seated but she refused and told us to wait again for another table. We said screw it and just left. Before I left I mentioned that it wasn't a mistake and she placed her German friends in that table because they were complaining about something earlier.

Yelp
Average drinks at an expensive price. A gin and tonic is $15 and water/any soft drinks are $8. Cocktails are nothing special and the service was okay. But the views and seating were nice.

Yelp
Had to ask for menus, had to ask to order, had to remind them that we were actually patrons, ended up leaving with nothing to show for it by time wasted. AVOID this place at all costs, looks promising, but service is terrible. Also 13 Euro for a BEER is insane by any standards.

Yelp
Beautiful view. Open seating. Limited selection in bar however a variety of mixed drinks.

Yelp
This is all about the views overlooking the Spanish Steps on a wonderful Rome afternoon. A glass of wine - a view of the Italian rooftops; of the artists attempting to sell. Views - up and down the Spanish steps - of tourist and residents walking among the many storefronts. This is simple Italian pleasure. The food is a distant second here. The fried appetizer selection (mozzarella sticks / chicken sticks, etc.) all taste the same. The pizza - average. But who cares - the experience here remains "Five Stars". I could've stayed all afternoon...

Yelp
Great place to sit outside and enjoy a drink! The wait staff was pleasant & the place was very clean and conveniently located next to Spanish Steps

Yelp
This place was amazing!! We had to have dinner here two nights! Such a beautiful view of the Spanish steps, great food and drinks. Totally my kind of place! They only serve drinks, pizza/snacks and dessert! Lovely place to watch the sunset! We had great experiences and waiters both times! Cute little bathroom too with good smelling soap as well!

Yelp
this place looked awesome the first time we saw it and couldn't wait to go there for lunch the next day. so when we went they didn't tell us they stopped serving food at a certain time during the day. once we found out no food we wanted to leave but no one was around for at least 30 minutes. I mean even if we wanted more drinks no one came back. maybe that's a Rome thing. nice place though.

Yelp
Terrible! No basil or tomato on the "margherita" pizza. Only slightly redeeming feature is the view of the Spanish steps. Lovely view, ok service, bad advertising. Make sure to note the "*" means food is frozen. *They did not charge me when I said it was not good, appreciated that aspect of the service.
