Il Picchio Verde

Everything about this dinner was perfect. Great local spot with traditional Italian food. The lamb and Guinia foil were excellent. Do try the namesake Picchilo Verde appetizer plate (safe among two people) homemade ravioli was amazing. Pistachio cake was chefs kiss to end the meal. Very affordable. Was super busy, but the service was still outstanding. We did have this dish, but sat next to the open fire where steaks are cooked. Smelled so delicious

Thanks to the reviews on Google we had lunch here while visiting Gubbio. We were delighted with every dish we ordered. The staff are especially welcoming and paid great attention to every detail. Highly recommend!

We were on a big extended family trip throughout Italy for two weeks, this might have been our best meal for the entire trip. The food was fantastic (try the eggs with truffles for an appetizer). The waiter was amazing -- he entertained and knew his stuff. It was overall, a great place. Strongly recommend.

Truffle Pastas and house wine were great, service fabulous. Unfortunately all meats/poultry and vegetables were very much overcooked; Dry meat and mushy veg. A shame. Will not go again.

Excellent quality of food and great service. We were very happy with each dish (many of them were Umbria's specialties). If you decide to come during the weekend, it is better to book a table beforehand.
