While in Lago di Como for a few days we ate at this restaurant twice for lunch, and both times were exceptional. From the start we were seated immediately, and a moment later our drink orders were taken. As soon as we set down our menus, a staff person came by to take our dining order. While waiting on our meals, we noticed the staff always scanning the room, looking for something to do, or someone to attend to. As for the atmosphere, very comfortable, spacious, and clean. As for the food: perfect. Our dishes looked amazing and tasted even better (very flavorful) The food is on the more expensive side, but given the high quality and city, we consider it reasonable. When we return to Como, we will definitely eat here again.

Had a great experience tonight for dinner. Enjoyed the pizza margherita, spaghetti alla carbonara and the lasagna bolognese. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing gluten-free meal here. I started with the raw vegetables with dipping sauces and I loved it!! Then we had some gluten-free pizza. Nice, crispy crust. Very friendly and helpful service.

3 weeks in Italy, this is the best we’ve found. Great service. Great food. Great people. The best we’ve found in Italy outside a 5 star resort. So happy we walked in by chance.

Corner restaurant with a nice shared courtyard. The foccacia was really good, fresh and filled with nice salad. The risotto was weird with no flavour except the plain rice, and topped with some fish that were hard rather than crunchy. The filled pasta was tasty. Friendly and efficient service.

Had a wonderful selection of dishes. My steak was absolutely perfectly cooked, and the potatoes perfectly seasoned. The staff were very friendly and personal, and were overall a representation of the most positive aspects of italian food culture. Staff easily communicated in both Italian and English, and the interior is extremely beautiful and the restaurant being physically underground does wonders for the atmosphere.

I do not like repeating restaurants, but we ate here twice in 48 hours. It was so good the first night we couldn’t quit thinking about it. We had a spaghetti carbonara and a few other things. The onion soup was amazing embarrassed to say we’ll probably go one more time before we leave this city.

Yelp
The house is old in modern deco! The personnel is very friendly and accommodating! Pizza is the way we like it! It has a menu of limited starters but is nice! You can find a wine list of Italian wines that we like! I recommend this place!

Yelp
For Pinzimonio reviews Trip Advisor 667. Yelp 9. Yelp clearly has zero noteworthy presence in Europe. My best meals in Italy can't even be found on Yelp's crappy map. Anyway. Note to staff. I loved the entrance sign and facade of Pinzimonio and decided to check it out. Was immediately impressed with the striking balance of old and new architecture. Modern glass and steel mixed with century old stone and plaster. Started with focaccia burrata. Not what i was expecting, but great nonetheless. Like a pizza dough slathered with creamy burrata. Great appetizer. Just make sure to share it. Next up primi of spaghetti carbonara. This was quintessential and perfect. Perfect al dente with amazing guanciale. Ask to share this for two and the kitchen will expertly split two plates. Cotolleta of chicken was amazing. So big, flat and thin, it barely fit on the plate. Topped with a micro thin layer of prosciutto fat that added subtle richness flavor and texture. The addition of side lettuce was completely non value add and a poor choice of garnish. Tasty nonetheless. Next up fileto di Manzo. One of my favorite Italian beef dishes. This one really delivered. Thick cut at least 8 oz. perfect med rare. A prime cut of bovine for sure. Simple sea salt seasoning. Roasted potatoes. This is what hungry people eat. Outstanding. Service was prompt and friendly. Decent wine offerings and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
We were a party of 11. was dry and The burrata was tasteless. Disappointed in the seafood pasta and risotto as well. Avoid this restaurant .

Yelp
Fast and friendly place for tasty spaghetti pomodoro. loses a star for not making my pizze with all of the toppings because they ran out of basilico. how does an Italian restaurant run out of basilico at lunch time?

Yelp
Our tour group of 23 arrived late in the evening, the staff was well prepared and handled our group very well. We had the meat and cheese platter with house wine. Followed by fresh veggies and dips and lasagna. I think there were a few piazzas thrown in for good measure. Lastly we finished with a tiramisu type dessert and cappuccino. I ate so much I could hardly walk back to our hotel. I think they were trying to satisfy the hunger of a small army. Thanks for the hospitality to our group of Americans.

Yelp
If you are a tourist, avoid this restaurant. We were seated right away, but they the told the hostess (in Italian- so they thought we wouldn't understand) to put us upstairs even though the whole main floor was practically empty. Upstairs was a tiny area crowded with other tourists who were receiving no service. Empty bread baskets, drained wine and water glasses. We reviewed the menu and waited for our server, or water, or bread, or someone to acknowledge us for 15-20 minutes, then we got up and left. Only the couple next to us noticed.
