Food was a delivery order , have complained also with delivery company- as order arrived cold , hot chips packed in with desserts, chips where cold wet and sweaty on arrival and $11 tiny serve - portion size was small and underwhelming for price - it was very disappointing- 2 pizza, chips 3 miniature cannoli with thick clotted filling and cheap strawberry topping - $ 16 not very nice - , tiramisu, this was about the only nice thing very small serve for $11 - dinner for $114 wasn’t worth the money or time we had to wait for it. disappointed as you had lots of good reviews

The fried baby calamari is delicious, light and just perfect with a squeeze of lemon. The arancinis were dry and tasted as if they’ve been pre-fried and then reheated. It just tasted as if it’s been sitting out. The pizzas here are ok but they’re not amazing. We ordered the salami pizza and I thought they could use better quality salami, mozzarella and olives.

I felt that the pizza here was the best in Brisbane. The wheat aroma of the pizza dough was very good. Also The porcini aroma was rich and the seasoning was perfect. The staff were friendly, polite and provided a comfortable service. I would like to come here again.

The Pappardelle all’ Anatra is delicious! Ordered it as a take away meal and was very impressed with the taste and serving size. Service was a bit slow, took about 10 min longer than what was on the order confirmation.

We love it here. Great value pizzas, top quality tasting pasta. Ama and the rest of the crew are always helpful and accommodating. Our family love going here and we took our extended family there tonight for a birthday dinner

We didn't have a table booked. As always, professional, nice, and organized. A moment of waiting and the evening was saved. Thank you, Ama. Great service, delicious food. We will come back. Delicious food, great service

Brilliant … from the moment we took our first step into the premises and this further evolved with our pre dinner drinks, then followed by our first dishes right through to dessert! Real adults to serve us with real customer service skills, building rapport throughout our experience! We will be returning to introduce our visiting family members from Sydney over the Easter Weekend! We missed a few photos cause we were so immersed in the outstanding flavours we experienced…. see you in a few weeks IL POSTO 💕

We stopped by Il POSTO for a Sunday lunch. It has a very welcoming atmosphere and friendly, attentive service. We enjoyed watching the bustle of Paddington from a restful perspective. We are from New York and know a superior wood fired thin crust pizza when we eat one-Il POSTO hit all the marks-excellent toppings, pleasantly chewy crust with the air bubbles showing a proper, house-made dough. Pizza with a bountiful and delicious arugula salad was a great lunch for two. The waitress, Alma, was super attentive: when we said we liked ice, she served our Italian sodas on the rocks with a fruit garnish-made it feel special. Prices were inexpensive for the quality and quantity. Location and atmosphere great-can’t wait to return in the evening! 100% recommend.

Yelp
Considering the multiple failed antecedents that failed in the same location, Il Posto has done well, let alone thrive as it has. Perhaps part of their success is due to a renovation which opened up the space and saw the addition of a bar. The other successful part of the equation has to be the food, which is classic Italian executed particularly well. The pizza menu includes both 'Rosse' (red sauce) and 'Bianche' (white sauce) varieties. Recently I tried the funghi porcini, one of the white sauce pizzas, featuring mozzarella, porcini mushroom, fontina cheese and sage. Its beautifully delicate flavour and fragrant sage stands out really well from the lovely thin bases. Fresh seafood and a hint of chilli make the spaghetti marinara one of the better examples I've bought at a restaurant.

Yelp
Winter in BrisVegas is tough for restaurants, unlike Melbournians who dine in wind, sleet and snow, Queenslanders find comfort in July by staying especially on school nights for adults. So to venture out on Monday although usual for I, seeking food ,wine to hunt and gather as our forging forefathers did. My travels though seeking Italian fare for the excitable ones birthday, whom on her last visit proclaimed unrequited love for the Nutella calzone. So " Il posto" , which translates to " the place" in the beautiful and sexy Italian language which runs a very close second to my favourite "French " It sits amongst a busy hub of large supermarkets, other caffeine stops and the usual suspects of travel agents, hairdressers, butchers and so. Once again Paddington is very inept of activity on a cool July night in Brisvegas, the waiter in which Bella has waited all day to hear deciphers the menu in beautiful Italian of which brings a beautiful smile of enjoyment through her eyes which I believe is the way to truly see a woman's happiness. The menu is a blend of tradition from the magnificent Caprese salads with house made mozzarella , rich ruby tomatoes, aged balsamic and the smell of perfumed basil to finish, created from the region of Campania it brings back wonderful memories of a chilled Campari with bitter orange and a portrait of Italy on a plate of this wonderful creation as I sat at tables listening to this beautiful language as I traveled through Italy. The antipasto is there, a range of calamari which of course done equally well by the Italians and the Greeks, allowing these wonderful immigrants to our countries in the 60's, 70's to create a food culture which has allowed Oz to become a huge multicultural food icon in the culinary world today. A veal masala with baked cauliflower, Pork belly on sautéed artichokes, Lamb rump on potato purée await the intrepid carnivore if pasta and Gluten is not for you. The specials projected aloud by our passionate waiter whom I sense is the owner, marf wrapped ( male scarf ) showcasing a sense of simple style the Italians are renown for make for sensual listening, allowing me to choose the Pearl bay Barra with another of my favourites from the Tuscan region which combines leftover bread, tomato, parsley and olive oil. One of the brethren chose the duck and porcini Ragu on Pappardelle , the birthday girl the Gnocchi and Fabio ( whom thinks he is Australia's answer to the original love god) the Gnocchi as well and Bella whom is still smiling the wonderful Ravioli al Crostacel which enticed with Moreton bay bugs, sand crab in a zucchini and tomato bisque. Upon arrival and after much banter about my beloved Hawks dismal performance on the weekend, the smells sensually reaching amazing heights and sending our palate into over drive, combinations of the sea, the garden and the farm. I always believe as I serves any restaurant, home table anywhere in the world, the first 30 seconds of silence will give you evidence of how good the meal is, as we inhale the vision of the creator, the smell of the ingredients and solace of our palate of which we are all unique. As the group came up for much needed oxygen, a brief nod of recognition and witching what seemed minutes plates were clean and a look of contentment that only 2 things bring in life and you no the other!! As we sipped on our pondering del Paradiso Chianti from Tuscany the natives were restless about exploring the Dolce or sweet once again translated to Bella whom is ready to jump on a plane tomorrow to Tuscany, The birthday girl chose the infamous Nutella calzone with vanilla bean ice cream, Fabio the pannacotta al cioccolato with vanilla biscuit , Bella and myself the semifreddo to share. All arrived and once again the romance and courting began, a quiet them murmurs as the birthday girl devoured the foot long calzone which I sensed many could not finish, but our girl devoured with much gusto and amour. As the empty plates were removed a group sat contented, fulfilled and satisfied that we would return to this wonderful experience , although not cheap it is a worthy experience to appreciate the love and passion of which a true Italian experience can provide . La Dolce Vita ..the sweet life

Yelp
I walked past this restaurant a dozen times saying to myself 'I really need to try that place' before actually following through with it. After my first experience at Il Posto I then realized that I should have gone sooner. This place serves up classic Italian food in a intimate yet open setting featuring open kitchen and an alfresco centered layout. Everything my party tried here was fantastic albeit served later than we expected. The service had an air of pretentiousness about it and wasn't as attentive as we would have hoped but the food made up for it three fold. I had the pappardelle all' anatra (duck & porcini mushroom ragu) which had me repeating 'mmm this is too good', and I also tried the saltimbocca di vitello (veal, sage, prosciutto, pinot grigio & sauteed cabbage) which inspired further sounds of satisfaction. I suggest going here through the week if you want avoid the waits, and don't hold back on your order as everything is equally pleasing across the board.

Yelp
Great Italian restaurant... the Ill Posto red Sangiovese wine is so good! A little too easy to drink.

Yelp
A really nice, dark atmosphere and some of the friendliest service I've had in Brisbane. The menu is interesting and delicious. Highly recommended for a date.

Yelp
Looking for somewhere nice to go on a Sunday night, so we thought we'd check out Il Posto. It was quite busy but we were seated quickly & the waiter was attentive without making us feel like we had to hurry up & order. I had the pork belly & my friend had the Rigatoni Ragu. Both were beautifully presented & delicious! The food is delicious but expensive $25 for a bowl of pasta & nearly $30 for the porchetta and the sides of veges are extra on top of this. The desserts were also delicious, my chocolate semifreddo had pralines hazelnuts scattered over it & my friend's mango pannacotta was creamy & not too sweet. The simple wine list seemed well chosen with the least expensive wine being $10 per glass or over $45 bottle. In total, a glass of wine, main & dessert each was $100 for 2 with no entree or vegetables. All the waitstaff were attentive with topping up water & checking on us. And the ambience of the actual restaurant was nice. I do enjoy alfresco dining. A lovely restaurant over all, but expensive for a regular outing especially if you are hungry!

Yelp
The owner of this place sprouts his over 25 year expereince in the hospitality industry but I think he needs to go to hospitality school. The pizza was probably one of the nicest pizzas I have ever eaten. Compliments to the chef. The wait staff were excellent. Bascially they mixed up our order, we waited for a pizza for over an hour as the owner gave it to someone else on our table. When questioned, full of excuses and dared to argue instead of apologising and making sure it arrived in the next 5 mins. We must have waited another half hour! When I went up to pay the owner came over again to argue because I was telling the girl on the till about the bad service and that we would be paying by both credit card and cash as we were splitting the bill. I have never in all my life experienced the owner of a restaurant talk to his customers with such little respect. One cannot help but think if he talks to his clientele and treats them with contempt, how he must treat his staff. In fact the waiter who did attend our table had much better manners and handled the situation with more grace than the owner. He told me to go tweet his restaurant if I wanted to, I wasn't going to, but decided this morning that I would.
