I visited this restaurant with high hopes, and while the kitchen certainly knows what it’s doing, the overall experience left a lot to be desired.
I’ll start with the positive: the food was very nice. Everything we ordered was flavorful, fresh, and well-prepared. If you are strictly looking for a good meal in Verona, the chefs here are doing their jobs well.
Unfortunately, the service side of the business feels disconnected. To start, you are required to order everything via an iPad. In a city as beautiful and traditional as Verona, this completely strips away the authentic, warm experience you expect from an Italian meal. It felt impersonal and cold.
To make matters worse, the human interaction we did have was unpleasant. Our waitress was quite rude, making us feel more like an inconvenience than guests.
The best way to describe this place is "Italian Fast Food" in terms of the tech-heavy, rushed service style yet it is priced like a traditional Osteria.
When you pay Osteria prices, you expect a certain level of hospitality and charm, neither of which were present here.
