My experience at Dell'Avvocato was phenomenal, memorable, and even a bit novel. Dell'Avvocato was founded by a former lawyer (hence the name) who realized his true passion for cuisine. Note that the cuisine prepared here is not strictly traditional Neopolitan fare, but rather, the work of a brilliant chef who strives to push Neopolitan cuisine forward. I would recommend this restaurant not only for its outstanding cuisine, but also for the elegance and sheer genius of its dishes.
The waiter, Vincenzo, deserve commendation - he was knowledgeable, patient, professional, and took as much time as was needed to assure that I and my girlfriend were comfortable and enjoying ourselves.
For me, the highlight was actually the dessert, which was gelato that was shaped into an egg, served on top of some sort of sweet, crunchy straw-like pastry, meant to resemble an egg in a nest. Beautiful. It is easy to see that much thought and care is placed into the dishes at Il Ristorantino dell'avvocato, and it is refreshing to see a chef who takes the culinary riches of Naples and strives to advance it into the future.
