One of the best pizza, if not the best pizza in my life! Delicious, flavourful… the dough is soft and crispy at the same. The staff is super nice, kind and professional at the same time. They welcome you here with open arms. The place is very small so if you do not make it at opening hour, you might have to wait for a free table but it is absolutely worth waiting! A „must visit” in Matera!

We visited Il Rusticone and tried the pizza (they also have paninis and a menu with many choices). We ordered the pizza with eggplant. Each pizza is for two people, the taste was delicious, and the service was very quick and polite. Please note it is open only by afternoon. We would visit again!

Well, I can say I definitely agree that this pizzeria is the best, if not one of the best pizzerias in Matera. The pizza we ordered - 4 seasons and ham and mushroom - were incredibly delicious and the best pizza I have tasted in a very long while. The base is thin but layered with ham, not just squares of ham like other takeaway pizzas. Anyway, this place is very popular with locals and foodie hunters so we were not disappointed. Top rated and may they remain so for a long time.

Very good pizza, nice waiters, good atmosphere. The service was quick and the reasonable prices. They open at 7.30pm, but try to be there 10 minutes in advance as they're a small place, only 4 tables outside.

Excellent meal! Showed up right at 7:30 PM when they opened to get one of the four tables outside. otherwise, you can stand to eat inside or they will call you when a table becomes available. The pizza Giovanni was excellent. Wish they were open for lunch because I would have gone back today! Definitely recommend.

Normally I don’t like to eat Pizza because I cannot eat Cheese. But they made one vegan Pizza without cheese, and it’s much more than I really expected, so delicious 😋 We really enjoyed our pizza here. The ladies are also very friendly. The price is quite cheap, less than 10euro . Definitely recommended for everyone.

Very small street food like joint. The service is great and people very nice. We had pizza there and it was delicious and at a fair price. The ingredients are local and they also have local wine to pair the food up. If you are passing by Matera and what a quick and easy on the go food, this is the place. Although the establishment is small, it can accommodate even a group of 6-9 people. It also has an welcoming atmosphere with walls with scribbles from passersby.
