I review the restaurant not the hotel: This place is a hidden gem! The staff is superb there: friendly, smiling and courteous. We got a table for 6 on a busy Sunday afternoon. We were a bit in a rush so ordered only pizzas. We got pastrami with cheese as a starter. The food was served quite quickly despite many guests. The pizzas were like they were supposed to be: thin dough, delicious toppings. We got a refreshing Hugo to drink We had lovely time and would visit again

This hotel is in the center of Bergamo, it’s beautiful and the people in the front desk are extremely nice! It doesn’t have elevator, because it has two floors, but Nicola was super nice and he helped us carry the suitcases into our room. And Natalia what an amazing person she is! She was extremely nice and sweet! Thank you for everything. The only things is that I would renew the bathrooms or put some furniture to put the bathroom things. But everything was nice! And the breakfast amazing!!

However, the friendly service and excellent location make Hotel IL Sole a worthwhile option for those looking for a comfortable and well-situated stay in Bergamo.

This hotel is very close to the main piazza in Bergamo alta and has a restaurant for indoor dining as well as an outside terrace. My room had a small balcony, which I put to use enjoying a pre aperitif of spritz as the sun set. I dined in the hotel restaurant on the final night, enjoying a local pasta dish I had not encountered before. It was very tasty, too. The breakfast was good with a nice variety of fruits and savouries. All in all the hotel was excellent.

This reastaurant is perfecto. Location is the best, right on the main square. Waiters are super nice, interior is cozy and beautiful and the food is delicious. It was the best Pizza in my life. And I dont like tiramisu too much, but this was also the best in my life. The rating from me is 100/10❤️

Didn’t stay here, this review is for the restaurant. Very nice interior, they have a garden at the back for al fresco dining. We had the pistachio pasta, the truffle pasta, the ravioli with lamb, ham pizza, and the beef fillet. All were good, especially the truffle pasta. Yum! The beef fillet was very tender. Service was great, they were all nice except for one young boy with dark hair who looked like he hated being there.

Booked 4 nights here after reading other reviews. Couldn't fault the position in the centre of the Citta Alta. The staff were welcoming and the hotel is spotlessly clean. Breakfast excellent, fresh fruit, meats and cheese, freshly baked pastries and bread. Lovely coffee. Bed comfy. Room large and cool despite no aircon, and very quiet. Bathroom dated but large and lots of fluffy towels. Would stay again, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

I ate dinner there and also stayed two nights in the hotel. Dinner was great! I got the lasagna and it was delicious. My room was very cute and clean. The staff at the hotel were sooo nice and helpful. They helped us find parking for our car and were all around very helpful and friendly. I absolutely recommend staying here! The location is incredible!

The polenta dishes which is a staple in Bergamo is #TooDieFor!! I had a rabbit and polenta dish and never in my life thought I would experience ecstasy! Apparently polenta is a staple of bergamo! I have so much respect for Bergamo cuisine now. You must try this place located at Piazza Vecchia in città Alta! Have a caffè macchiato or espresso at end of meal...espresso is so good here too!!

We had an excellent dinner here a week ago. My wife had the porcini risotto that was awesome, great flavor, and I had the gnocchi which was soft like little pillows in your mouth. I wish it had come with gorgonzola instead of tomato sauce and the presentation of both could have been better, but they were great meals.
