il Vento Italian Restaurant & Woodfire Pizza

Staff were friendly and attentive, and the pizzas had great flavour and quality ingredients. The only downside was the bases could have been a bit more crispy for that proper woodfired crunch. Bonus points for the wine list too, they had real Italian wine, which made the whole meal feel more authentic. We’d happily come back.

Our favourite restaurant on the Sunshine Coast. Consistently outstanding food and service. Have never had a bad dish here. And always served by knowledgeable and attentive staff who clearly love what they do and where they do it. The atmosphere is one of relaxed fine dining, with subdued lighting and decor that makes the experience one that you can linger and enjoy, and leaves you looking forward to the next opportunity to come back and try other spectacular menu items.

Came to the Sunshine Coast for a weekend get away and found this gem. Amazing, authentic Italian cuisine, super friendly staff, delicious cocktails and attentive service. The vibe was relaxed and welcoming. Will certainly come back should we be in the area.

Ate here on Dec 9th 2025 whilst on holiday in Mooloolaba from England and had a lovely meal with great service. Best pizzas Ive had in a long time and nice friendly staff and reasonable prices. Excellent

What's not to like! With amazing service, (Thanks Maddie), to amazing menu and food to match, it's a great night out. Flavours of Italy blended into food and drink. One of our favourites. We'll be back 😋

Second time visiting this Italian for lunch and even more impressed than first. Highly rate this place, food is delicious and affordable compared to other Italian locally, the staff are polite and genuine, very helpful, great drinks pairing. Will definitely be back again soon. Best pizzas in Mooloolaba and the mushroom truffle gnocchi is to die for! Check out their specials. Very sheek design inside or you can have a lovely casual afternoon in their outside seating.

On Tuesday 9/11, my Italian group and I enjoyed our annual Christmas lunch break-up at Il Vento. We were a large group of 30. We were looked after very capably by one of their experienced waiters/managers, Courtney. She and her assistant waitress, Jess, ensured prompt delivery of all meals and drinks, as well as careful oversight of payments before individual departures. As always, the food was delicious and everyone enjoyed themselves very much. Grazie mille, Il Vento! Buon Natale!

Lovely authentic Italian restaurant! I’ve been here a few times now, and each visit has been a new and amazing experience. Their specials are incredible — full of flavour and beautifully presented. The food is on the pricier side, but the quality and portion sizes make it absolutely worth it. Perfect spot for couples or a romantic date night!
