Wonderful island with an abundance of bike paths and beautiful beaches. Well worth the time to experience the all what this touristic island has to offer

Beautiful! Great public transport and cycle hire. Lots of cycle routes. Flat terrain, pretty villages on the island, plenty of parking, free toilets, good range of shops and restaurants. Clean beaches

Amazing will definitely return to see more. Stayed just outside of comarde du mer and travelled a couple of the cycle routes on my mobility scooter with ease.

Great destination for a long weekend. The landscape is beautiful and the views of the sea were spectacular. There are several beautiful but different towns to visit. All the towns are different with old harbours in La Flotte and St Martin and a fantastic market on Sunday morning in La Bois en Plage. We hired bikes to tour the island and left the car at the hotel but parking was available.

If you’re thinking about it, just go! Visit for the unbelievable food, culture, scenery, beaches, sunshine, people - it’s a lovely place to be. It’s an expensive island and you can feel it when you’re there, if your budget is small you might struggle to enjoy a lot of it however the beaches don’t disappoint and are free! Although some tourism, it’s mostly French visitors but almost everyone speaks English if you’re visiting from UK or don’t speak French. You won’t struggle here if you don’t speak the language. Make sure you visit Ars and St Martin if you go!

I enjoyed my trip on this island. As u coming from Airport turn right and in a few km u will reach the bridge 3km long, if u cross it by foot or bike is free, otherwise for car is a fee of 16€ return. The island is beautiful, restaurants near beach, Fort as an historical landmark. Recommended

I really love this french island!! The streets are so elegant and instagrammable that you will be tempted to take photos all the time. Keep in mind that there is a tax for the car when you cross the bridge: 16€ high season and 8€ from the 12th of September.

A large island just off the coast connected by a toll bridge. This place is just heaven. There are totally empty beaches or busy ones if you prefer, small towns with local shopping and food. It is such a relaxed beautiful place I can't recommend it enough. You can ride a bike round it safely or drive on decent roads.
