We loved this place, we stopped for lunch and it was amazing. The service is incredibly good and the food as well. They gave us the best table in my opinion and the view was stunning. We had some appetizers (quejo and olives) and then a cataplana for two - it was very good. Highly recommend it and hope to go back soon!

Takes advantage of young women travelers. Total scam. Avoid at all costs. We stopped by for a casual lunch after spotting wraps on the sign, only to be handed a completely different menu with prices nearly double. We ordered fish, then the owner came over asking if we still wanted it after some appetizers. I asked if it had been made—he said no—so we switched to soup. Seemed fine… until the bill. He suddenly flipped, yelling about the fish we “cancelled,” claiming he meant we should *wait* for it, not *cancel* it. His mistake, but he pressured us into taking the dish anyway. Then, unbelievably, he asked for a tip despite tipping not being customary here. Food was bland, the experience worse. Steer clear. If I could rate zero i would

Avoid. There was a time when it was trendy to be kind with customers and care other things than overcharging them No hello and even less goodbye Never letting us what prices of fresh fishes were despite questions Main courses not brought together Staff bringing us 4 ice-cream balls when we asked for two and neither apologising nor suggesting that something commercial could be done

Ilha do Arroz offers a lovely setting right by the sea, with a beautiful view that sets the tone for a relaxed meal. The staff was very professional and friendly, which made the experience pleasant from the moment we arrived. The food was good, nothing to complain about, but also nothing that stood out as truly memorable. Considering the quality, I found it quite overpriced, especially when compared to other places in the region. Parking was easy, although I imagine that could change during peak summer months. If you’re visiting at night or off-season, it shouldn’t be an issue. Overall, it’s a nice spot to enjoy the beach vibes with decent food and great service, but be prepared to pay more for the location than the plate.

Everything here is just ok, the food is average but crazy overpriced for what you get and the service and atmosphere likewise. The view and the beach is of course amazing but just being in proximity to nicer restaurants does not justify the price whatsoever. 18€ for a kids meal (fish and rice) and not a changing table or real high chair in sight not to mention really dirty bathrooms. We did notice overseas tourists coming there to experience a more authentic Portuguese restaurant which it most certainly is amongst the comporta options but there are plenty other better and better priced authentic options.

Excellent food by the beach, seafood and others. Service was great enjoyed the lunch we had but the cost was a bit more then other beach restaurants we went to around this area.
