Google
I wasn’t very impressed. Garlic rolls were bland, and smelled like sardines? The marinara sauce was just crushed tomatoes… didn’t display “sauce” to me. Pizza was legit so oily it made the pizza slices soggy. Dough was also really chewy. Prices are outrageous in my opinion. Environment was fine, barely any seating though.

Google
Best pizza on the island! New York style pizza. You must try choke garlic balls, they are small bites of deliciousness. Sandwiches are decent also, they make at least 2 meals and use high quality meats. If you make Friday nights your pizza night then this is a place you gotta check out

Dominic

Google
My first impression of this pizza was "Meh". Wasn't good, wasn't terrible... But for the price, I expected it to be better than just "meh". If I try it again and it's better, I'll update the review.

Google
its obvious here that quality of food and ingredients are top priority at this very local deli. everything was good to great. their roman style pizzas and sandos were top notch. not a ‘cheap’ eat place but you definitely get what you pay for in taste and quality. if visiting the isles for long term its worth multiple visits when you are sick of eating locomocos and poke. haven’t try the sweets here yet but will be coming back soon

Google
I come here far too often! This place is incredible. The bread is insanely fresh and baked to perfection every time. The pizza crust and flavors are unreal. All of the flavors and ingredients are top tier! Pro tip: order ahead of time. If you don’t, that’s okay. I promise it’ll be worth the wait!!!

Google
One of the best and most flavour pizzas I’ve had in the world. It’s a cross between New York style and Neapolitan pizza. Thin crust, tastes like it’s either wood fired or stone baked as it has a lovely smokiness. The only negative and it’s not even really a negative, more of a note is that it’s a bit greasy. But we LOVES it. We got the supreme 18” which would be perfect for 3-4 ppl to have two healthy slices. We also go the pepperoni garlic choke garlic balls with pepperoni (on recommendation) and they’re awesome. Big portion with lots of pep and dipping sauce. Garlicky with a texture like a doughnut. Highly recommend this place. Will definitely recommend to others!

Google
I have been to this establishment multiple times and have been super impressed each and every time. Today I ordered the chicken parm tray and garlic balls with a sandwich. The sandwich might be the best sandwich I have ever had! If you like good pizza and good Italian food this place is a must! Also the sell the best ice cream by the pint. So ono 🤙🏽

Google
Illi Illi Cash & Carry absolutely blew me away. Hands down the best pizza I’ve had—not just in Hawai‘i, but anywhere. The crust is perfectly crisp with a great chew, the ingredients are top-tier, and the flavor combinations are spot on. You can tell they put real thought and love into every pie. Pro tip: Get the garlic balls. Trust me—they’re insanely good. Soft, buttery, garlicky perfection. Easily one of the highlights of the meal. It’s a hidden gem with a chill, no-frills vibe that lets the food speak for itself. If you’re on O‘ahu, don’t skip this place.

Yelp
I've been a vegetarian for 1.5 years and 'illi'illi cash & carry still provides options. I purchased a broccolini, garlic.and chili flake Sicilian square with a white sauce. My favorite is Detroit style, so this was very much to my liking. Simple and flavorful. I didn't even request it to be heated...'cause cold pizza is just as good. Friendly service. Nice merch. Lots of imported foodstuffs. Parking lot for them and shared businesses are adjacent to the building. Street parking is limited in a busy area of South Beretania St.

Yelp
The customer service was very nice, the woman was patient in explaining the different pizzas. It took about 30 mins for our pizza from ordering till it was finished. The pizza came out hot, crispy and delicious! The pizza did not flop at all. It was even good the next day. The ingredients were high quality. I would recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
I returned and ran back some of their parm sammies for a flight back to sfo. This spot is going for New York style pizza shop serving up slices and sandwiches. Not cheap, but the sandwiches are big. Last time I went I was so impressed, this time around I noticed a few changes in the parm sandwiches. While still good, the tomato sauce on the chicken and eggplant parms were overpoweringly sweet. It definitely took away from the experience. I also feel like more cheese would have elevated these sandwiches to legit level. Overall, a fun and unique concept in Hawaii that still pleases, but this time around a little off.

Yelp
Always passed by this pizza place and I believe there was a Yelp Elite function here. Didn't make that one so today I finally stopped by . Nice size parking lot shared with other tenants. Ili' ili Cash & Carry located on Beretania St near McCully. I had 2 slices one cheese and the other sausage. Both looked the same the Sausage pizza don't have enough sausage as you can see . Their pizza is supposed to be like New York style it almost tastes like Boston Pizza lol . Inside the restaurant they sell Merchandise as well Wine, T-shirts and caps . Maybe next time I'll try their sub sandwiches looks pretty good . Support local

Yelp
Pricy pizza but what you get in return is a floppy but also crispy pizza, baked to perfection. And if there is one thing that can always keep a person coming back, it has to be the fried Garlic balls lol. Add some hot honey and you got a masterpiece that will ruin your breath but it is so worth it, so best to eat if you don't have somewhere to be the next day! I recommend the Supreme pizza, don't get the square pizzas haha, unless you like deep dish.

Yelp
The service was amazing as soon as you step foot in the door this is the Most wonderful place I ever been. Great family owned pizza place. This is truly a hidden gem I fell in love with there pizza and knots. Absolutely a show stopper there so humble and nice definitely always a great place to eat if your looking for fresh and great this is it look no further

Yelp
Garlic balls are literally amazing!! We got them with pepperoni and hot honey. 10/10 we will be coming back! Caesar salad was big portion and good dressing!
google avatar

Yelp
Ordered an 18" pepperoni pizza and was not disappointed!! I love the cup pepperoni, thin, foldable crust like the NYer in me loves- it was delicious and hit the spot. Will order again!

Yelp
We've been meaning to ty 'ili'ili since seeing it reviewed some months ago and we finally had an opportunity to grab lunch this past Saturday. Small shop located on South Beretania Street a block before McCully Street, easy to find but also easy to miss as you drive past on this busy corridor. This Saturday morning I found street parking right in front of their door making it very accessible. The Great: Food is amazing. The choke garlic balls are can't miss and add on the pepperoni for an irresistible appetizer. This day we went with the Italian Sandwich and Chopped Salad. We loved the freshly made bread as the it featured a great crust and was not too thick. Salad was large with generous portions of various toppings. There were a number of premade pizza by the slice that looked great but I'll save that for my next visit. The Good: Service was quick and easy. The counter person was friendly and accommodating and the sandwich was ready in a few minutes. Packaging was solid, everything stayed in place on the ride home. The Okay: Difficult to nitpick as we enjoyed our food. The prices may be a little high for some folks but we felt it was worth the quality ingredients. Sandwich comes in at $18 with the salad at $16. The price may go up as you can customize and add ingredients for few dollars extra. Overall: Great place for pizza, hoagies, and salads. Beats any chain pizza/sandwich shop by a mile!

Yelp
I made spaghetti the other day and the significant other said that we should pick up garlic knots to go with it. We got the garlic knots $15 and a side of marinara sauce $2. While the pizzas are ok, the garlic knots are to die for. They top it with tons of fresh garlic and mozzarella cheese. They're crispy and chewy, but you have to eat them hot or it's an oily mess. The marinara sauce was watery and bland. I'm not sure if I would get that again.

Yelp
Went in on a Sunday late afternoon debating if I wanted to cook and I guess take out won. I was here over a year ago so decided why not try again. I wanted something filling and chicken wings and a hoagie just sounded great. I got the Italian hoagie, ordered a meat and a cheese pizza slice and ordered chicken wings. It's part of trying everything out!! lol no regrets, ever. When I came home I started to eat the chicken wings. They came with a Parmesan cheese dip and a Buffalo style dip too. The outside where nice and crunchy and as always I love the flats. After trying the drumstick, I noticed it wasn't so well cooked. It's ok, it happens...but I still like flats. The sauces were on point and made the chicken. The pizzas were both delicious!! And the hoagie was just jam packed with meats. I guess I shouldn't complain but it left my hoagie dry. I should have added the extras. The bread was nice and soft and had a good chew to it. I will return for more stuff and they had a bunch of great merch that I will want to try. Wines, oils, etc...

Yelp
In our family's opinion, this is the best pizza on the island. The crust is thin, the sauce is delicious, and all of their toppings are good. The pizzas are definitely not cheap, but for a delicious, large pizza like this, it's absolutely worth it. However, the best thing is their garlic balls. They're a little chewy, drenched in garlic and butter, and so crunchy on the outside when fresh! We call them "crack balls" in our house because they're so addictive and we always demolish the entire heaping container! We've come back here many times and will continue to return over and over!

Yelp
The people/workers/kitchen are great. They all helped me select my lunch!. The pizzas look great but I got the special cheese steak and the Italian. Surprisingly the bread was hard. Not stale- just not my fave for a sandwich. The cheese steak had high quality cheese and meat but no seasoning. The Italian was also bland. The breads on me- I didn't like it but over all I expected more. The Italian for having such rich meats was kinda tasteless. The garlic balls were good but the base bread tasted kind of sweet to me and again I didn't like it. Let me be clear it's NOT bad and clearly high quality ingredients- I just don't like it. They have a nice selection of drinks from coke to Italian soda. Love the lemon one. The total was close to 66.00 just not worth it to me. The joint was super clean and well kept! The staff on today were great- busy but efficient. A great place just not for me.

Yelp
Suuuuch good garlic balls, definitely the highlight!! Also got the chicken parm, Sicilian pepperoni slice, and the spicy meatball pizza. Portions are big, service is quick (they prepared all this food in 20 minutes), and there is a decent amount of indoor seating with a small selection of goods and prepared salads to purchase. It's on king street but there is parking next door at the lot. The ambiance is homey and casual. The pizza dough & crust (which i believe they use for the garlic balls) is extremely fluffy and chewy! The pesto on the chicken parm was very aromatic.

Yelp
I feel like I come here too often, but I can't help it. The pizza is always pretty stellar, this past Tuesday I went at around 4:30pm and they only had one flavor/one pizza for by the slice, Mushroom pancetta, delicious just wish I could have had a variety then I would have gotten more. Feel like maybe it was a slow Tuesday with the sad gloomy weather. The parking lot is always a situation here, when I first got here someone grabbing and going had decided to put their hazards on and block half of the driveway... definitely not the best. then when leaving it was a fiasco too, going out on the right side to have someone come in on the left side and decide to park right where I was waiting to exit.

Yelp
"It's another pizza joint!" This bakery space was repurposed a couple of years ago into primarily a pizza and sandwich place. They offer other items but pizza and sandwiches are their forte. Most pizzas are $30+ but they are 18 inches so pretty hefty. The taste is spot-on and their salads go well with the pizza offerings. Our latest purchases were the mushroom pizza and the Caesar salad. The salad had real anchovies, they definitely added to the flavor. The homemade dressing was delicious. The hoagie sandwiches are among the best I've tasted. The Funghi mushroom pizza had different mushrooms than what we traditionally see: cremini, king oyster and fiore di latte mushrooms with a couple of strips of bacon. Cheese base was just right. There is parking on the side of the building that is shared by other businesses. Metered street is also available for that dash/pick up. Located near the corner of McCully/Beretania streets- the first Bloch before McCully st on the Oceanside.

Yelp
Delish everything was so good i swear the italian sandwich was like 5 lbs lol And the beef one it was spicy... lol but good!!! Garlic balls needed a tin more garlic and a bigger container.. but i loved the pepperoni Highly recommend this place!

Yelp
Nice, clean take out place. Little store in the front with a deli vibe take out counter. Only it's pizza and other appetizer type stuff in the deli case. We planned to call in the order but since we couldn't make up our minds we walked in and bought slices. All good. We also bought a container of baba ganoush that really enjoyed and a side salad. It's a little pricey but all very good!

Yelp
Fantastic pizza, meatball subs, chopped salad and service. Great local, family run spot. Also some sick threads and apparel to rep the 808.

Yelp
I've been wanting to come by and try their sandwiches for a while and finally had a chance today. Unfortunately, it appears they are no longer serving sandwiches. Big disappointment but I still tried a couple slices of their pizza which were really good. Hopefully they bring back their sandwiches to the menu soon.

Yelp
Suddenly, I was craving pizza and I didn't know where to go. Fortunately, I was near this little cash and carry place and they had a slice of Sicilian pizza just waiting for me. Was ono. I ciao'd down.

Yelp
During my vacation in Honolulu I enjoyed many of the foods recommended by locals and YouTubers. Oddly enough, halfway through my vacation, I had a strong urge for a Pizza. As luck would have it my Lyft driver was a local and mention his go to spot for Pizza was Ili Ili Cash and Carry. By the name alone I would not guess this was a local pizza favorite. I looked them up on my DoorDash app and sure enough they could deliver to my hotel. We chose a combo meat pizza. It arrived hot and fresh. The crust was uniquely thin and crispy. The toppings were generous. The sausage and the cupped pepperoni were notably spicy compared to the pizzas at home. They made a fan of me.

Jay T.

Yelp
Lady at register not caring and very rude . Asked if any pepperoni pizza and she said no. She did not care about helping me . All she cared about was getting back on her phone . Super disappointed .

Yelp
The pizzas are good so today I wanted to try a sandwich. With Thanksgiving coming up the special Eleanor sandwich with turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce. I did pay $4 more for a side of gravy which I would say is a must! The sandwich wasn't cheap at $19 but I was able to make two meals from it. Service was good and did not take long to get the sandwich. The store has a bright, clean and welcome look with drinks, pasta and supplies. I wish the sandwich was "hot" in temperature as it was cold, maybe made earlier and refrigerated. That being said the bread crust had a nice crunch and was of good quality. There was a good amount of thin sliced turkey and stuffing. Cranberry sauce was a little missing and I wanted to taste more of that. While the sandwich was cold, the gravy was warm and added more flavor which helped tie everything together. The sandwich is better than most can make at home so definitely worth getting! Wouldn't be a bad idea to buy one to have as your Thanksgiving meal!

Yelp
I ordered the Off White pizza, and unfortunately, it was so salty that it was completely inedible. I'm not sure if this was a mistake by the staff or just how the pizza is usually made, but it was disappointing. For the price, I expected much better quality and balance in the flavors. While the presentation was nice, the overwhelming saltiness made it impossible to enjoy. I hope this was just a one-off issue because I was really looking forward to trying this pizza.

Yelp
I am flat out Lovin the multi yum options Ili Ili has to offer daily!!! Today I had their incredible fried pickled onion rings ( very crispy & juicy onions) amazingly flavorful sauce to for added excitement !!! Also their special choke garlic balls w/ pepperoni, and hot honey sauce OMG yum (melt in your mouth goodness)... Looking forward to returning soon for daily pizza specials!!

Jesse D.

Yelp
The worst service ever. The staff is rude. Dont waste your time. They got upset w me because i left a large part of my pizza that was rock hard dough on the table. It was not edible and has happened on several occasions. I asked the girl working the counter to bring this issue to the owners several times and explained that this hard dough could chip a tooth and is not what im paying for. Sadly they simply dont care and show no concern.
google avatar

Yelp
A stop at Ili Ili is a regular one for us and we never get tired of it. Just updating with pictures from today.
google avatar

Glady O.

Yelp
Pizza here is tasty and my coworkers love the garlic knots. I especially love the flavor of the dough. Fair warning though. If you make a mistake on the app they use to deliver, call the app or the merchant to fix. DO NOT CANCEL or you'll be out some money.
google avatar

Curt M.

Yelp
I ordered via DoorDash to Waikiki (Ala Moana side). Pizza arrived on time, hot, with a crisp crust. The pizza itself is great.
google avatar

Marissa K.

Yelp
We haven't been here in a while. Ordered individual squares of their "Choke" pepperoni square pizza and their margerita square pizza. Think the slices are on foccacia bread or seems like it. Love how you can just stop in and grab a whole pizza or pizza by the slice and a beer or some drinks. Great pit stop if you're in the mood for pizza! They have a small parking lot right next to the store too!
google avatar

Toma C.

Yelp
The pizza is good but it was floppy and didn't hold up when I held it. I liked the scillian pepperoni in the pictures but the menu didn't offer that style. We got the thin pizza which is fine but like I said the slice pizza had so many pepperoni on the sold by the slice, I like pepperoni. We also got the chopped salad. It was okay for a chopped salad but there wasn't much meat. I took the picture too later everyone already rugged into the pie.

Yelp
I've tried their pizza and a seasonal sandwich before when someone else brought them over at a friendsgiving get-together last year but just recently went into 'ili'ili Cash & Carry myself for the first time. I got a slice of their pepperoni pizza, and it really had CHOKE pepperoni! This pizza was greasy in the best possible way--and I was able to get a slice warmed up really quick. I'd definitely recommend grabbing a slice of their pre-made pizzas if you're in a rush since other things may take awhile. We also got the eggplant parm sandwich, and let me tell ya, it was a whole 'nother level of thick. Stuffed between a homemade hoagie, this sandwich was the real deal. It did take a bit, so if you're in a hurry, next time I want to try their Italian sandwich. I've wanted to stop by before but it's on a bustling street and during rush hour the traffic flow was just too crazy and I unfortunately had to drive away still hungry for 'ili'ili goodies. There is a small parking lot in the back (shared with a few other businesses in the area) and street parking. What really caught my eye was the bodega vibes. 'ili'ili Cash & Carry had some cool branded merch, and they had an epic selection of tin fish and pastas. The creative team here really hit the nail on the head. It's giving East Coast bodegas localfyed.

Yelp
This place is phenomenol! I am so impressed by the quality of the bread. I found this place through hawaii_foodaholics on Instagram, the minute I saw the video I looked it up and ordered for pick up. This place is a must. There's a huge parking lot right next to it. If you are going to see a friend on the west side you should grab some and take it there but beware the garlic in your car WILL MAKE U HUNGRY! I definitly think the pepperoni with garlic bread is the way to go! If you get sandwiches as well its gonna be too much i promise lol i can only imagine how delicious the pizzas must be! I will be returning weekly

Joe S.

Yelp
Maybe the best Pizza on the island. No where to sit though, takeout only. Garlic balls are super tasty too.
google avatar

Ryan B.

Yelp
Great pizza. Just ate lunch so I opted for a couple slices; pepperoni, spicy sausage and margherita. Spicy sausage my favorite but I love the thick slices. Friendly service
google avatar

Josh F.

Yelp
Stumble into 'Ili'ili Cash & Carry', and you're in for a quirky treat! This gem has been charming the socks off locals for ages with their pizza and sub game that's strong enough to make an Italian grandma nod in approval. The name? It's like a tongue twister that you'd say three times fast to summon a sandwich genie. But hey, a rose by any other name would smell as sweet, right? If you're itching to dodge the mainstream munchies and dive into some local spins on classic cravings, this is your spot. Trust me, it's the culinary road less traveled, and it makes all the difference!
google avatar

Yelp
Special spectacular pizza the crust, the sauce, the cheese it's magic! Ordered on DoorDash

Leslene C.

Yelp
Been to this place like several times, the pizza is always on point. Love the thin chewy crust and topping are generous and no OIL dripping from the pizza, etc. If you haven't tried their garlic balls its a must try, you've never had garlic balls like this before and its not oily or greasy. I can't describe the garlic balls accept its chewy and so so delish. You can order a half and half pizza we did the mushroom and ili supreme, it was a perfect combination "meat" for hubby and veggie for me. We had a order of their chopped salad, this was good, had alot of things on the top and the dressing is so good, kinda like a lemony taste, the only downside is the lettuce wasn't as fresh as I'd expect but it held up for dinner (wasn't good the next day, was already browning). Garlic balls as mentioned was amazing, no need any dip, just pop them in your mouth and ooo laa laa! There is plenty parking on side of building, but sometimes if full cause of other restaurants near by. There is one table for two to eat but no seating, mostly take out orders only. I'd suggest to call in advance we walked in and waited 30 min. Service is great, feels like you in a NYC pizza deli, they didn't changed much from the original Watanabe Bakery. Haven't tried their subs but from the reviews sounds like they are delish, we will have to go back for their deli sandwiches.

Anthony V.

Yelp
The pizza and the service is hands-down, some of the best on the island... between the garlicky, pillowy, morsels of cheesy love... and the ridiculous crust... forget about it!!!
google avatar

Reid A.

Yelp
My family loves pizza. So I figured I gotta try this place even though it's out of the way for me. We eat frozen, national chains, oh hell I've tried making my own dough. I just love pizza. I ordered pepperoni pizza over the phone. The pizza was ready in 30 minutes. You can place an online order as well. I'm not a pizza expert here, but I believe it's like a New York style. I folded the pizza to eat it since the crust is so thin and the pizza is huge. The dough is crispy and very chewy. The pepperoni was very tasty and spicy. The tomato sauce was sweet. The pizza was not oily with all the pepperoni. It really was the perfect pizza to me. The crust was awesome! Everything about this pie was perfect. I just wish I tried it sooner. I finished it...no leftovers. You just have to eat it fresh. I also tried the funghi and supreme. I recommend the funghi and pepperoni. Get the garlic balls! Dude!!!! I assume it's the same dough, but it has a super chewy and crispy buttery outside. It's like a mochi doughnut hole with garlic, butter, and cheese. The parking lot was pretty big but shared with other businesses, so during dinner time it fills up with cars going to the izakaya next door. Also poking your car out to get on Beretania is dangerous, but that's the risk of that area. I will be back because it's worth the trouble to get the perfect pie. I want to try all the flavors! My son doesn't like to eat a lot of things, but he eats the crust from ili'ili and that's a compliment of the highest order.
google avatar

Ashley L.

Yelp
Great customer service food here is delicious There is available parking on the side of the building if the side street parking is full... they sale some merchandise and fine wine
google avatar

Lance N.

Yelp
Cheese Slice was excellent!! Great cheese flavor Crust had great flavor and the tomato sauce compliments everything well Pepperoni Sicilian Slice This one was a little too salty for my taste. The pepperoni was good but for some reason the sauce on this slice was super salty. It's always nice to come back to this place. I need to make it a point to order a whole pie at some point.
google avatar

Kathy L.

Yelp
Delicious Detroit and NY style pizzas. Beautifully crafted sandwiches. Best pizza has got to be the broccolini and roasted garlic. The Italian sandwich is tasty but would be so much better if the bread could be toasted first. The service is super friendly and the establishment itself is clean and neat enough.
google avatar

Chris A.

Yelp
The garlic balls with the crispy pepperoni... OMG... So good!! Great pizza - whole or by the slice. Baba ghanoush and crisp bread, and Italian hoagies, salads. Super great folks working there. Parking is in front and in the side parking lot.
google avatar

Denby R.

Yelp
Definitely call ahead! The pizzas are worth it, as it is the weight, if you don't call in ahead of time, but if you are on the run, it's very easy to do. The ambience is fun, reminds me of some of the delis and things I have been to the mainland, There are things that you can get that are specialty items. And they have a grab and counter, but I love that when I pre-order, my food is ready and fresh, and very very easy to grab and go. We are fans of just about every single pizza we have ever had, specials, cheese, plain, anything you can find on the menu is great. We very much like the garlic balls, with or without pepperoni, depending on if we are with meat eaters or not. I've ordered salad there, but can't actually tell you what it tasted like, because I left it on a bench by accident when I sat down my things to find my keys. Not their fault, it was all me. I guess it gives me a reason to go back and try another round. The people there have always been very polite, thorough, without extra fluff. There is parking in the lot immediately following the building they are located in, it is not that bad of a parking situation.
google avatar

Jo-Anne S.

Yelp
Pizza and hoagies go well together. All freshly made, New York style. You will find a selection of pizza by the slice, (which I opted for the mushroom & pancetta), or you can create your own pizza by the pie. A great selection of hoagie sandwiches to choose from and seems like the Italian is popular. You have option to try a few refrigerated items such as pepperoni potato salad, house chopped salad and Caesar salad. I enjoyed my pizza full of mushrooms. The service was excellent and this eatery felt non- AC and in a more rustic setting. I'll be back to try the hoagies and more pizzas!

Yelp
the food here is 10/10 *chefs kiss* for realllll. They were not lying when they said CHOKE garlic balls! Literally the container was exploding with fried garlic ball/pepperoni goodness. It was $14 for all of that with some marinara sauce. The sauce was on the side and very light and fresh. The garlic balls don't really need sauce since they're delicious on their own but I love a sauce to dip it in. Had to also grab a $5 slice of spicy meatball, onions, and arugula pizza because it looked too good and was huge. They heated it up for us and I think put some fresh arugula on top as well! So awesome! Service was good and store was very clean and lots of parking right next it. Highly recommend this place for some amazing Italian food at an amazing value!!
