Hospitality at its best. From start to finish the service was impeccable. From the reception staff to the cleaners. We travel a lot and have found this to be the best service anywhere, by far. The food was outstanding and the pianist at dinner made it that much special. I want to thank everyone for the most amazing weekend. We will be back.

I came to Ilsington country house hotel to relax and unwind. The whole stay was an absolute delight! Staff were excellent always going the extra mile to ensure i was having a lovely stay but without being over the top. Top marks! Room was beautiful. Very comfortable bed. Lovely assortment of beverage and homemade flapjacks. And very clean and fresh, it was gorgeous! I had food in the Blue Tiger and the restaurant. Both a delight! I had a lovely afternoon in the beautiful spa and came away feeling very relaxed. I will definitely be going back!

I was treated to a surprise stay at this beautiful hotel organised by husband and loved every moment. The flowers he pre-ordered, recommened by the hotel, were absolutely glorious. The place was very clean and well kept with lovely views all round. Thoroughly enjoyed the spay and the staff were very friendly, helpful and went out of their way to cater for our special dietry needs. I would love to go again.

We visited the spa today for my wife's birthday gift. It was outstanding first off front of desk was very welcoming and friendly. The ladies doing the back treatment were very professional and made us very relaxed. After we went into the spa it was one of the best we have been into and we have been to alot of spas. The food was also excellent and the chef and bar staff were brilliant. We will definitely be back again. Also the prices are so reasonable compared to other spas and you get less for it.

Excellent mid week break on a Ben Waters music holiday. Thoroughly enjoyable stay, excellent breakfasts and 3 course evening meal. Comfortable room, staff welcoming, friendly and attentive. Quiet location below Haytor Rocks - will go back for sure!

We came down to Devon to visit family and chose this hotel for it's proximity to them and the on site spa and fitness facilities. Let's start with the view. Never gets old. Eating breakfast each morning with that view was relaxing. It provided a much needed change of scenery from our everyday 9 to 5. Speaking of breakfast, continental and cooked breakfast was included in the pricing. The food and drink was a nice start to each day and the staff were lovely. They really are lovely to be around. The on site spa and fitness centre were really handy. My wife enjoyed the pool and spa while I found that I could keep the essentials of my fitness routine with the equipment provided without too much trouble. The room itself, really comfy beds, spacious bathroom, serviced daily with the topped up water and homemade flapjacks. They also had a comfy cosy lounge area with a selection of games, or if you're like us, can bring your own. Things to be aware of, you're internet might be a bit spotty, they provide on site WiFi but you're at the mercy of the elements. I feel like this is understandable with the hotel being where it is. The walls seem to be thin between rooms allowing for noise to come through but they seem to account for this where possible, we only heard noise for the room next door on our last night/morning there. I would highly recommend this place.

Came for a birthday treat on a spa day package. Really lovely spa facilities. Great treatments by Vicky who was absolutely lovely. Staff in the reception area and in The Blue Tiger were very welcoming. The girls who served us our food provided excellent customer service. A wonderful location and a beautiful venue. Highly recommend-thank you for a wonderful day. (The only slight improvement could be the size of the changing rooms as these just felt a bit cramped and busy.)

Such a lovely boutique hotel in the middle of Dartmoor. Electric car charger available and plenty of normal parking. A lovely, two treatment room, spa and Chloe was an excellent therapist - highly recommend having a treatment. They use Caudalie products in the spa. The Jacuzzi was amazing, the pool was relatively shallow so it is good for kids, the sauna and steam room are petite. Food is exceptional quality from the bar and breakfast was a la carte. I definitely want to visit again. Staff are amazing and special shout out to Sheila who was so welcoming and highly knowledgeable, and you can tell she has been with the hotel for 20+ years because she makes you feel at home. Will definitely be visiting again.
