This is a great option for anyone who wants to be very close to nature and enjoy a quiet time, but without the hassle/experience of setting up tents or not keen to rough it out. Set in an absolutely beautiful location with a little lake and surrounded by acres of walking tracks, lush green meadows and native trees filled with birds, Iluka offers a peaceful break in the lap of nature. The staff are very friendly, accommodating and work hard to keep the place very clean and comfortable. It clearly shows the premium pricing is well justified in all that goes into keeping this place run at such high quality. Some notes and tips: * While some booking sites list check in time as 4 PM, the correct time is between 2PM and 4PM. If you plan to arrive sooner, call them and they'll try to accommodate you. * The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of gas burners, BBQs, cutlery, cold storage (fridges and ice), cooking utensils and sinks to clean up. * Carry your own cooking oil as they don't stock any. They do keep some salt, pepper and ketchup. * Mobile coverage (esp data) can be spotty. There is no WiFi. Both good things 😄

We LOVED our stay at Iluka! The property is beautifully maintained and our tent overlooked the lake and wetland. We were surprised at how spacious and comfortable the tents were with lovely bed linen and furnishings. After settling in we strolled around the lake checking out the bird life and had sunset drinks. The camp kitchen had everything we needed and the bathrooms and showers were spotless. Iluka is a great base for touring the peninsula and a peaceful place to relax. We even had a swim in the lake one morning.

My family and my friends family recently booked two tents for a night getaway and had a BLAST! The kids loved the adventure and the camping experience without all the hassle of the setup. We bought food from the local supermarket 10 minutes up the road and cooked a BBQ at the camp kitchen. Every utensil we needed was there and it was great being able to keep our drinks and food cold in the fridges. So grateful for the firepits and firewood that we organized with them too as the chilly nights weren’t so cold while cooking marshmallows on the fire. (Plus paired with the wine we got from the neighboring wondering pier 10 we were definitely warm haha) The kids haven’t stopped asking when we will be going back! Thanks team for making our experience so great!

Beautiful! As soon as I drove down the drive I relaxed! The tent was pretty, luxurious and thoughtfully put together. The gum trees, the lake and the wildlife were stunning. I wish I had booked two nights so I could have enjoyed more time exploring the area. Thank you Iluka I will definitely be back!

Iluka has around 35 acres of pristine grounds where you can walk around and enjoy nature, sit by the lake or dine in the undercover camp facilities with a large deck overlooking the lake area. The tents are great and the staff work really hard to maintain this beautiful property. We are so lucky to have it available to the public to enjoy!

It’s such a beautiful place to stay, we stayed here with kids, you will get shared kitchen barbecue and everything was very cleaned and well maintained. Kids thoroughly enjoyed the lake walk and obstacle course and they enjoyed the sleeping in tent. If you are coming with family I would highly recommend it.

My partner and I had an amazing glamping experience at Iluka! The tent was divine, very luxurious and cosy, with a comfy bed and beautiful styling. We had a view straight on to the lake, (see photos!) which was stunning, and all we heard through the night were the night calls of birds and frogs, absolutely gorgeous! The lake is so beautiful, lots of waterbirds, and so lovely to wander around - plus good for swimming, so pack your bathers! It's so peaceful and quiet, and very spacious, a great place to recharge, and a lovely romantic getaway too. We thought it was a perfect blend of camping and luxury, you feel really close to nature but with all the comforts you need.
