"A hip, busy Glen Ellen winery that blends art, music, and crowd-pleasing pours—some of which are unusual varietals like teroldego. Led by second-generation winemaker Jamie Benziger, the property offers outdoor picnic-table seating, bar service, gallery-linked tastings (art appears on some bottles), bocce, and an events calendar that includes dinners and live music." - Bailey Berg, Tim Chester, Jessie Beck

Imagery Estate Winery is a hidden gem in Napa that completely won me over. As a smaller, sister winery with a unique artistic flair, it offers a refreshingly personal and creative twist on the typical wine tasting experience. What sets Imagery apart is its deep connection to the arts—each bottle features a selected piece from a contemporary artist, with the original artwork proudly displayed in their on-site gallery. It’s a beautiful fusion of fine wine and visual storytelling. They exclusively pour local wines, which gives the tasting room a more intimate and boutique feel. Their focus on Italian and French-inspired varietals really stood out—each pour was refreshing, full-bodied, and layered with complexity. I’m not usually a fan of white wines, but I was truly impressed by the softness and balance in theirs. Our wine guide, Russell, was fantastic—fun, knowledgeable, and full of great insights that made the experience both relaxed and educational. By the end of our tasting, I loved it so much that I joined the wine club to have some of my favorites shipped to me twice a year. Imagery Estate is the perfect spot for anyone looking for bold wines, genuine hospitality, and a connection to local art and culture. Can’t wait to return!

My best friend and I enjoyed a perfect afternoon today at Imagery. We were so pleased with our wine host, Dori. She is absolutely delightful and we felt well cared for. Dori offered detailed tasting notes on each wine she poured. Both the interior of the winery and exterior are beautiful. We sat on the patio which boasts a beautiful view of their gardens and bocce court. We were impressed with many of the wines we tried- and there are quite a few. The two standout winners for us were their bubbles (they were superb) and the Barbera. The truffle chips and popcorn were scrumptious and well paired with the wines. Definitely a winning experience!

Gorgeous winery. The vineyards were beautiful and I love the connection between wine and art. We did a wine tasting at the bar and Sandi was phenom. She told us the origin story of the company and walked us through the wines. We perused the art and found the pantheons in each painting. It seemed like everyone there was a member. They and Benziger have great member perks!

Cute winery. Lots of wine related merchandise to purchase in tasting room. They also have a very nice outdoor area with picnic tables, Adirondack chairs, bocce ball and more.

Hidden gem! We did not have time for a full tasting as we had another scheduled at their sister property. Purchased a glass of wine and walked around looking at the art and spent a little time outside. Wish we could have stayed longer. Nice music, cornhole, and several tables with umbrellas.

I know I told it many times before, but North Bay Wine tours is a company to say many thanks for taking us to this gorgeous winery! They really are asking right questions to discover what you love and will enjoy the most. Imagery Estate Winery is artistic, sophisticated place which is just a must to see weather you are local or visiting. It has the best of what Sonoma county can offer: Art, Wine, Views! I can talk and talk about this lovely place, but you just take a look at the pictures, they say a lot

We really enjoyed the experience of Imagery. Jack was warm, entertaining and super knowledgeable. We weren’t planning on joining, but we couldn’t help ourselves as we loved the story of the place. And the art on the bottle, Fun!!

My friend purchased a "picnic" tasting. We wanted to taste a few wines to know which glass to select but our "guide" only allowed 2 tastings (and tiny I might add)! That was sad as we were all ready to purchase a bottle, heck maybe even a case and become a member but we weren't not offered that! We weren't even offered to taste for a fee, which I understand most wineries do and then credit it to a purchase. Further we were not allowed to sit in the picturesque green area due to "yellow jackets" although many other guests were enjoying that area. We were relegated to metal tables in a cement rear area. We were not offered a tour of the art, grounds or even a history or discussion of their wines. The snack was very minimal but I did enjoy the wine so we did pay for an additional glass. I've never had such a skimpy experience at a winery and would never recommend Imagery. Huge lack of hospitality. I'll stick with generous and welcoming wineries such as Cline, Kunde, Jacuzzi, Benziger and many other friendly and fun wineries to visit!

Yelp
Loved the winery! CJ greeted us, and we enjoyed a very informative description of the winery and its history. The winery itself is very picturesque and is worth another visit. The wine was great, and I loved the wine bottle pour stoppers they had. Very fun. The outdoor area was fantastic. It was a great elite event. It was my first time at the winery.

Yelp
Beautiful grounds and a relaxing experience with delicious wines. Setting: Scenic and relaxed with bocce ball, cornhole, ample indoor/outdoor seatingand beautiful vineyard views. Service: Mixed--waited 30 minutes before being greeted or given any direction, but the wine experts were warm, knowledgeable, and made up for the rocky start. Experience: The picnic for two was charming and tasty, with generous pours and a laid-back vibe. Great place to sip, snack, and soak in Sonoma.

Yelp
When we first walked in, the blonde woman behind the bar didn't seem to have the time or interest to welcome us, which was a bit off-putting. Thankfully, Stephen arrived shortly after and completely turned things around--he was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and informative. We loved the gallery and the story behind the art--each piece has either been featured on a bottle or will be in the future. It's fun to walk around and take it all in. There's even a quirky room that looks like a boardroom, which is part of the gallery and would be perfect for a small, intimate event. The outdoor space is beautiful, with a huge lawn area that's great for picnics, a bocce ball court, and several patio areas with seating. There's also a cute boutique on-site with lots of fun items to browse (and buy!). Although the website says walk-ins are welcome, I'd recommend making a reservation just to be safe. Overall, it was a good experience, and the wine was enjoyable. Their sister winery is also absolutely gorgeous!

Yelp
Stopped for a tasting since their sign by the road said 'Walk ins welcome'. We did the 'at the bar' tasting. $25 each 4 or 5 wines. Staff was nice wines tasty. Super easy since no reservation was required. Grounds are lovely.

Yelp
Wonderful educational and creative experience at Imagery Estates winery. Our host, CJ, talked us through a delicious flight of wines, all made by award winning female winemaker, Jaime Benzinger. (The tasting is $45 for non members.) We started with a dry, well crafted North Coast Brut. We moved on to 2023 Viogner, which was strongly citrus forward. CJ poured the Wow Oui, a classic Sauvignon Blanc with stone fruit and grass, perfect for this lovely green setting which featured families picnicking and playing bocce ball, and dogs and well dressed kids playing on the grass. Our wines were paired with three kinds of 'chips' as part of our "All That & A Bag of Chips" experience and included a trio of delicious flavors: a sweet chip from The Saucy Ladies (NY), locally produced hippie dust popcorn from Santa Rosa and a new favorite, Lebanese-inspired pita chips from Spread Kitchen Sonoma. (Which we liked so much, we opted for an early dinner at Spread later, the same day.) We are fans of red. Unsurprisingly the 2021 Barbera, Malbec and Lagrein pours were delicious. The Lagrein was particularly dark, inky and unusual. The quality of all the wine produced at Imagery was excellent: balanced and delicious. The winery is focused on sustainability practices including biodynamic farming and features a wildlife sanctuary and an insectary. The wine club gets you reciprocal membership at the mothership, biodynamic winery, Benzinger. A memorable, enjoyable, relaxing, and educational wine experience at Imagery drinking great wines and looking out over estate vines. All wines feature custom labels with original art, all featuring the Imagery Parthenon.

Yelp
We came here after it was recommended on our first wine tasting stop of the day, glad we listened because we had a wonderful experience! They have quite a few options for what you can do here. They have tastings at the bar, bottle and glass service outside, a member only tasting room, and another outside tasting area. We tasted at the bar and enjoyed shopping around all the tables they had with gourmet snacks and other fun goods. The bar tasting was a 5 wine tasting menu with a mix of reds and whites, but they had some other bottles open and we were able to give a few of them a taste as well. And good thing we did because we ended up going home with more of the off menu pours than wines from the actual tasting menu! We were helped by CJ who was super knowledgeable about the wines, the different vineyards the grapes came from, and the history of the winery. He shared about the art and the labels which made the experience more fun and interactive as we searched each label and painting for the Parthenon. I would absolutely come back and opt for the bar tasting for a more lively experience. If you're looking for a more relaxed vibe, I'd probably opt for a seated tasting.

Yelp
My 2007 Yelp review comments are obsolete. My opinion about Imagery wines has greatly improved. I started to re-visit Imagery in the late 2010's to happily discover that the wine maker had changed and wines were much more delicious. I actually became a member of their wine club and bought cases of different varietals on a regular basis. I moved out of Sonoma county in 2024. And also dropped my Imagery membership when the bottle prices were increased significantly. If you are visiting Sonoma county for a wine tour I do recommend that you visit Imagery for the wine, the hospitality and the gift shop.

Yelp
First the grounds of this winery are so chill and welcoming! Bocce ball court. Cornhole and some lovely chairs to relax and enjoy a bottle. We were greeted by Tanya with a yummy splash of Wow Qui. Light and refreshing wine is great for a warm summer day! CJ was our wine host and he was cute and friendly. Had 5 yummy wines on the tasting menu with some tasty munchies. Black truffle chips, hippie dust popcorn and some Italian flavored chips. This winery is a must see! Cool bottles and artwork with a cool lobby of local flavors and gifts. I highly recommend! Decided to join the wine club. Had to do it! Also Shipping some wine to my parents in Florida as they love the Wow Qui!

Yelp
I have been to a handful of wineries for wine tasting over the last few years and this winery was by far the most friendly and hospitable. The staff were awesome and genuine in there conversations. The staff had the perfect balance of information on the wine and a mix of just good personality. My friends and I enjoy white wines the most and the tasting was catered to our preference. We also loved the lawn which has bocce ball and corn hole for guests to play while having a drink. There were kids playing which was nice to see a family friendly winery. This seems like a great place to come hangout with friends and family. We ordered a few bottles of the Viognier because it was so good! I would recommend anyone to come check out this place.

Yelp
This place is definitely a much different vinyard. They have a nice artsy vibe inside and a cool picnic/lawn games vibe outside. We sat outside which was very nice and played some cornhole. The wine overall was very good and they have some limited food options. The service was very helpful and friendly. Price wise id say it was average.

Yelp
We had such a lovely time tasting here. The outdoor patio area was perfect and so nice to enjoy while the sun was shining. Even though it was busy, CJ was great! We had exceptional service. The wines we delicious and we took some home.

Yelp
After tasting at Benziger (Imagery's sister winery), we had to visit Imagery since our server recommended to get a 2 for 1 tasting at Benziger's kiosk! S E R V I C E: Imagery was just as beautiful, and parking was a plenty. It was quite busy as well! The person who served my husband and I was Jack, and he gave us plenty of time to taste and figure out the different notes of each wine, and stayed long enough to explain them. W I N E: I loved almost every wine we tasted because it seemed like all of them had a sweetness that I enjoyed. My favorites were Viognier, Petite Sirah, Albariño, and the 2022 Riesling (which I had to buy!!) O V E R A L L: Definitely would love to come back to try more of their wines. This is also a good place to bring friends and family! They seem to get busy, so make a reservation if you have a big group. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Beautiful winery with a great staff that guided us through our tasting. They have both indoor and outdoor seating depending on the day. On-site parking is easily available, also recommend a reservation but they do take walk-ins when not busy.

Yelp
What a great winery to visit. Everyone was very friendly. They have bocce ball, a picnic area and really great wines. The grounds are really beautiful. CJ was an outstanding server. My favorite wine was a Barbera. Highly recommend this one. Big thanks to Mary, the CM. What a wonderful experience.

Yelp
Great experience. Our hostess was friendly and knowledgeable and made my husband's birthday very special. We loved the art and the theme surrounding it.

Yelp
Beautiful winery with eclectic wines Came here for a wine tasting. They are known for having more unconventional wines. The selection of red and whites provided were interesting and tasty. The staff were entertaining and provided great service. The decor was interesting as well with lots of art pieces

Yelp
What a wonderful visit! We inquired about the picnic experience -- wine, cheese, a charcuterie board -- on line, but as it was a same-day inquiry, we were unable to make the reservation. We called and spoke with Dori, and apparently there are two picnic options, and we miscommunicated the one we wanted. When we got there at the appointed time, and the confusion was noted, Dori and CJ worked things out and we were able to have the experience we'd hoped for. The wines we tasted were very good, and after we selected our glasses, we were escorted to our outdoor table while CJ quickly curated our charcuterie board.(Side note: you have to try their fig jam!) The crackers, toma cheese, fig jam, and salami were perfect. Our only regret was that there was not more! (But we did purchase the wine and fig jam to take with us!) The shaded picnic table made it all the better to watch the bocce ball and corn hole players amid some of the most beautiful flowers and plants. Thank you, Dori and CJ, for making the last minute changes. These Texans will definitely remember our visit, and we'll recommend Imagery Winery to our friends who visit Sonoma Valley!

Yelp
What a beautiful winery! The girls in my family and I decided to take a wine trip to Sonoma for some family bonding and it was so much fun! On our way in, we had some time to kill before heading to check-in to our Airbnb so we stumbled upon this winery, which I believe is the sister winery of another winery we were visiting the next day. Upon walking up from the parking lot, it's absolutely stunning. Beautiful greenery and plants and flowers everywhere. We walked in and immediately saw the bar area and ended up doing the tasting menu. They also had a lot of meat and cheeses and snacks that you could buy in a little shop area right by the bar area so we also got some cheeses and crackers and whatnot. I also believe it is dog friendly because there were even a few dogs inside while people were grabbing their tastings and heading outside. Love that. The bar area is stunning! The woman who helped us was really nice. I think we might have confused her a little bit because I am definitely a slow drinker and I was a taste behind all of my family haha. So every time I came up, she wasn't sure which tasting I was on. No big deal. They also gave us a free tasting of a rose to start with, which I thought was so nice. The wines were all delicious and it was such a good start to the trip! We ended up sitting in the back area outside and enjoying the nice weather and chatting. It was such a beautiful day! They had plenty of outdoor seating for walk-ins which I appreciated. When we were leaving, one of the staff members offered to take our pictures in the main area outside. They have a beautiful grass area which I think is probably where they do weddings and whatnot. It's so beautiful! Definitely recommend this winery!

Yelp
Recently sat down for a tasting. Enjoyed a variety of unique wine blends along with a few classic grape wines. The 23 viogner was really impressive. Bright and peachy white wine perfect for sunny summer days. Their Syrah was medium bodied, closer to some of the big reds I often search for. We sat outside and enjoyed the patio. They mentioned there were some larger picnic areas that are available to reserve for larger parties. Beautiful lawn and bocce ball area.

Yelp
NOT KID FRIENDLY as stated online- very disappointment on our visit to the winery today. Back story- I was locally born and raised in Sonoma. As an adult I have moved away however my family continues to reside in the area. I haven't been back for almost 2 years, since getting pregnant and having a baby. My 10 month and I am made the trip out to visit my new niece. My sisters asked if there was anything specific I wanted to do on my visit and I told them, all I wanted was to visit Imagery, since this was my favorite wine to drink. Today- we checked the website, which indicates kid friendly in the tasting room and outside so we figured we'd go today since weekdays are a little slower and we had the babies. although it has been pouring rain, we loaded up excited to come over. When we arrived we walked in the door (soaked) with our two strollers and sisters. The young man greeted us but the older gal just gave us a dirty look. We didn't really pay too much attend to that. We went and ordered a bottle of wine from the young man and sat down to drink it. We were all smiles and having a good time chatting together. Debating on which bottles we were going to bring back with us... while sitting there a lady walked up to us and said "to respect the other guests, we needed to keep it down" we weren't talking loud so I looked over and said okay, she was talking about my 10 month old who was smiling, laughing and making noises. We were so thrown off, we basically said okay and packed up and left. Mind you there were only 2 other couples in there at the time. I am so unbelievably disappointment and embarrassed. I couldn't even talk the whole drive home expect for asking my sisters if the baby was too loud. How are you a child friendly place if the child can't make any noises..... this isn't a library. I spend so much money on imagery wine and I was SO excited, literally the only thing I wanted to do. I honestly will NEVER GO BACK.

Yelp
Had an absolute great afternoon at Imagery yesterday. We were there with 5 adults and three kids and it was beautiful. We brought a spread to snack on at the picnic tables while sipping wine served by Jose. Kids were engaged with games the whole time - we there for about 2 1/2 hours. Nice touch at the end was when Jose joined my two sons and I for for a quick game of 2v2 cornhole. Just a great afternoon and look forward to coming back! Thanks Jose and Imagery!

Yelp
BOUGHT 2 WINES FROM THE TASTING MENU Last year in October with a group of dancers we visited two wineries. Imagery Estate Winery was the second winery we visited that day. There was a room for our group for wine tasting. The room provided an intimate, quiet setting away from the rest of the customers at the winery. For the wine tasting there were five wines. The first wine was a Sparking Brut Rose - a nice wine to start with in the early afternoon. The second wine was the 2021 White Burgendy. Our host stated, "This wine is the red wine person's favorite white wine." There are some people who are devoted as a white wine or red wine drinker. For me I do not have a preference. I am concerned if the wine compliments well with my food. After drinking the White Burgundy I will say this is the best white wine I ever drank. I knew from the moment I tasted the White Burgundy I was going to buy this wine. The third wine was the 2019 Sangiovese. This red wine had pleasant full-body taste that makes you want to drink more. The fourth wine was the 2019 Tusca Brava, which is a Sangiovese-based blend of Cabernet, Malbec, and Cabernet Franc. I found this wine to be too strong. After drinking this wine I knew I wanted to buy a bottle of the Sangiovese instead of the Tusca Brava. The last wine on the tasting menu was the 2019 Pallas, which is their flagship wine. This was the strongest tasting wine on the list. After the visit I ordered two bottles each of the White Burgendy and Sangiovese. That was in October. Yesterday I drove to Imagery Estate Winery with the purpose of buying two bottles of the White Burgundy or possibly joining a wine club of this winery. Regarding the wine club I didn't want to enroll through the website without knowing more of the benefits. I went to the bar and interacted with the sales representative Gabriel. He explained the three types of wine clubs. One thing I appreciate Gabriel wasn't pushy. He provided the details and allowed me to decide. I ended up not joining a wine club, but I didn't drive to Imagery Estate Winery without buying a wine. My intent was to buy two bottles of White Burgundy however I noticed at one of the wine racks were two bottles of Sangiovese. Through the website and the wine list the Sangiovese wasn't listed. I asked Gabriel if I can purchase the remaining last two bottles of Sangiovese. He said yes and stated the price of the Sangiovese is $55 per bottle. I ended up buying the last two bottles of Sangiovese. Gabriel provided me the wine club brochure along with his contact information just in case I have more questions to ask about the wine club. During my two visits to Imagery Estate Winery I enjoyed the wine tasting experience along with the insights of each wine club. I will definitely come back to Imagery Estate Winery again. Maybe by that time I might have become a wine club member.

Yelp
I recently came here for wine tasting. It had been many years since I'd popped in to taste. It was a beautiful day and grounds are lovely to be outside and walk or sit. We did a walk in tasting and ended up standing at the bar for most of the time. I enjoyed all the wine and got started with a sparkling upon arrival. Staff was attentive but didn't talk about the wine a ton. My favorite was the wow oui. We walked out buying several bottles and always enjoy our time at Imagery!

Yelp
Truly, one of our favorite wineries. Tanya, our wine hostess, always goes above and beyond. We have been members here for a while, and this place is just absolutely lovely. Sincerely, their Wines are top-notch ! Highly recommended!!!

Yelp
Love this place! If you're considering visiting, you should! The staff are awesome and of course the wine is amazing

Yelp
Fantastic tasting experience! Immersion of wine and art was done very elegantly. There was a gallery to the side and the tasting was done at the bar. Outdoors is a beautiful area - walkable and winery scapes.

Yelp
You'll be seeing images of happiness swirling around in your head after visiting Imagery Estate Winery. Located along the Sonoma Highway on the outskirts of Glen Ellen, California, Imagery Estate Winery is the sister winery of the noteworthy Benziger Family Winery, which is on the opposite side of central Glen Ellen. So dominant the Benziger Family is in the region that Jamie Benziger is Imagery Estate's chief winemaker, keeping things all in the family. What sets Imagery Estate Winery apart from so many of their local neighbors and no doubt friendly competitors is that this winery also serves as a major art gallery showing off creative paintings talents artists known around the world. Who doesn't want to take in a little art with a glass of wine? I have had the opportunity to come to Imagery Estate Winery a couple times in the past, enjoying their vast grounds, which is beautifully landscaped thanks to the amount of lush trees and shrubbery and the fact that they have one of the largest open lawn areas in the region that makes it the perfect place for picnics and even playing bocce ball. What brought me here on my most recent visit to the area was the fact that a friend made reservations at another winery for a visit, and they suggested we make a stop here at Imagery Estate Winery, as she was a member and had to pick up her regular shipment of wine. Of course, I was willing to tag along especially since we got a few pours from their Bar Tasting menu. Upon entry to their tasting room, one will instantly notice all of the lovely natural light peering in thanks to all of the windows on all four sides of the building. Once we approached their tasting counter, our tasting room associate instantly poured us a glass of their 2019 Brut Rosé. With flavors of strawberries, white peaches and even rose petals, this delightful wine is crafted using the famous "Methode Champenoise" process and leaves a refreshing finish on your mouth thanks to the extra addition of Chardonnay in every bottle. For our second pour, we received their 2021 Wow Oui (get it? wow-wee?), which Imagery Estate considers their trademark porch pounder, as it was sourced from the winery's Upper Ridge Vineyard, this wine is a refreshing blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Muscat Canelli, and had flavors of pink lemonade and grapefruit, which is probably why I liked it so much. For our third and final pour, we enjoyed their 2019 Sangiovese, which was a nice velvety red wine thanks to the blend of red cherries and spices. We had such a wonderful time at Imagery Estate Winery that the fact that the weather was so dreary outside made no difference as their tasting room had a lovely Club member lounge that we could sit in for a spell and gather our thoughts and equilibrium. Taking in the artwork, I began to realize that each and every one of their wine bottles has custom made artwork on their labels, which makes a wine purchase all the more valuable. Since I am a red wine lover, I opted to purchase a bottle of their multi-award winning 2018 Estate Merlot, of which the member price was a very reasonable 48 dollars. Once opened, this Merlot had a wonderful balance of tannins and acidity with every sip and paired lovely with my latest dinner of steak and potatoes. Any of the wines at Imagery Estate Winery pairs well with any meal, as the bottles alone are serious conversation starters for any family meal. At Imagery Estate Winery they are providing fans with the perfectly balanced wines in a sumptuous natural setting. It just goes to show you should never judge a book by its cover and at Imagery Estate Wines, you'll have plenty of images to stimulate your vision and plenty of wines to stimulate your taste buds.

Yelp
A MUST VISIT IN SONOMA! No pictures of the wine unfortunately but we went when they did the Valentine pairing with the chocolate. I ended up buying the red chocolate! So delicious!

Yelp
We had a lovely tasting experience with Sandi today at Imagery. We had a different tasting schedule for the morning, but they canceled on us due to the rain. We were trying to fit a visit to Imagery in during our trip, so the cancelation was a blessing in disguise. We arrived just a couple of minutes after they opened and Sandi swooped in as soon as we entered because we have the cutest dog ever (who also happens to resemble Sandi's dog, Sunshine). Even without us having a reservation, she graciously set up our tastings at the bar and guided us through our tasting, accommodating our request for a white tasting flight. Sandi gave us a lot of great info as we went, covering the history of the winery and the unique way that they label their wines with artwork that is limited to one varietal / one vintage. They have a well stocked retail space as well, so we picked up a couple of nice candles along with 3 bottles of wine. The grounds are rustically beautiful as well, even in the rain.

Yelp
Spent a lovely afternoon on Cinco de Mayo at Imagery Winery with a bunch of friends. I did make an appointment, don't know if it is required. The grounds are beautiful and luckily it was a very lovely day, weather-wise. We filled up a bunch of picnic tables under some redwood trees that provided ample shade. I didn't have enough ice in my cooler for waters and to cool the Imagery wine we purchased and CJ was kind enough to give us the ice we needed. I promise to bring enough ice next time we visit. Lee is the winery manager; she was very welcoming and went out of her way to make our time pleasant. We also dealt with behind-the-bar hosts Tanya and Stephen who helped us with the choices of wine we needed to order. The outside is beautiful, yes. But if it's too hot, too cold, or too windy/rainy, the interior of the winery is also very welcoming. There is actually a art exhibit inside that has the art created for all the Imagery bottle labels. Artists present their work, art is chosen, the artists are paid for their creations, and their art is exhibited on the various label of wines. Pretty cool. I highly recommend a visit to Imagery; it is certainly a 5***** winery. Thank you Lee, CJ and crew for all your service and care.

Yelp
We first tasted Imagery wines when staying at the River Terrace Inn in Napa. The cabernet was so delicious - I was excited to find out that I could visit their winery when in California. My husband and I visited Imagery without an appointment, but they greeted us warmly and fit us in for a tasting no problem. Our server, Shari, was amazing. She was very personable, knowledgeable, and engaging. She felt like family after our tasting. We were celebrating our ten-year wedding anniversary, so she gave us some extra pours. She also told us about the pieces of art on each bottle, let us view the gallery, and gave us some labels to take home. After the tasting, we enjoyed a glass on the expansive outdoor space. We are definitely considering becoming wine club members seeing as we are native of New York state. Great winery, great people, great experience.

Yelp
Such a beautiful winery. Not only did we enjoy the wines but experience all together was a 10/10. My husband and I met with our friends on an early Monday morning and we were the only group in! It was nice to have the back patio all to ourselves and just relax. Sandi blowed us throughout our service and she was so sweet. She was very personable and felt like an old friend. Her knowledge on the wines and the establishment were plentiful. She assisted us throughout the gallery and advise on wine pairings. Sandi even added 2 other tastings for us, upon request! We had so much fun walking through the gallery and trying to find the hidden images in each photo/painting. We left very happy, but I mean how can you not when you've got 3 bottles of wine? Hahahah, thank you sandi for the lovely experience!

Yelp
5 stars for the ambiance/wine, 3 stars for the service (specifically one server). We came here with a large group for a couple of birthdays- we had rented out a picnic table for 16 and the rest of the group planned to do a wine tasting as a private group. We had a ton of fun hanging in the lawn area, playing bocce ball and corn hole. Most of the people working there were incredibly kind and accommodating. But one host in particular was incredibly rude and condescending (shoulder length brown hair), and in front of multiple members of our party kept whispering things to other employees while looking at us clearly annoyed. While she was obviously upset at the size of our group (despite us having purchased the minimal bottle service and separating into two groups), it was very disappointing customer service, and she really lacked professionalism. The only reason I am not giving this place 3 stars is because the rest of the employees were so kind and helpful while we were choosing wines/etc. Oh, and she also told us that the bocce was fully booked out (when in reality it became free 30 minutes after we arrived). The lack of hospitality (and frankly dishonesty) really left a sour taste in our mouths.

Yelp
Stopped for tasting. I was designated driver. Have not been here for over 12 years. The tasters enjoyed their experience. I enjoyed people watching. The pourers were pleasant but the experience had a more corporate feel about it. The artwork angle is interesting- and a pleasant diversion from the usual wine related merchandise. The outdoor gardens are lovely. This would be a good place for a picnic.

Yelp
We had a great time over the weekend. They have an awesome outdoor space where you can enjoy your wine and play cornhole or bocce ball. Very nice place with plenty of space. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Pretty spot, and good wine! Tanya was our server and was very friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed hearing more about the wine from her, and would happily return! If you like Viognier they have a good one :)

Yelp
My company held their summer barbecue at Imagery this year and that turned out to be a great decision. They have lovely vineyards and gardens to complement their comfortable, shaded tasting patio. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing us with a tasting flight to introduce us to their wines followed by circulating pourers during our lunch. We really enjoyed the sparkling wine and viognier white blend. They have a large and interesting lineup of wines including some unusual varietals and prices are very fair. They also have a well priced and flexible wine club that offers some great benefits for members. Definitely a pleasant place to spend and afternoon with friends or out of town guests.

Cozy sitting g area with a fireplace and stunning outside area with sweeping views and picnic space this is great for bringing friends and enjoying an afternoon of fantastic wines and life! Will come back and visit when ever we are in the area!!!

Yelp
Great place to visit - they do an excellent job during this covid mess. Reservation only, very distanced tables, very generous charcuterie tray, great service from Sandi and really yummy unique wines. Highly recommended. Their wines are not the typical Sonoma County grapes - they have a fantastic Temparillo, Barbera, Viognier and more - beautiful grounds and lovely staff!

Yelp
Time to update this review! Since visiting for the first time 3+ years ago, Imagery has quickly become a family favorite. Seriously, my entire extended family is obsessed with this place -- it has set the bar HIGH for good wine in my household!!! The wine is unique, delicious, and very reasonably priced for the quality. Our favorites include the Pallas Estate Merlot and Sangoivese. The sparkling rosé is also perfect for a hot summer day, but make sure to buy it early in the season because it sells out! The estate is gorgeous and dog friendly!! Absolutely love taking my pup here and seeing all the other cute dogs that are visiting. There is a front and back patio as well as an area with picnic tables, a lawn, and bocce ball court. But the best part.. by far... is the people!! Seriously, everyone who works here is amazing. Every time we go it's like visiting a friend or family member. Such good vibes! Major shout out to Sandi -- we always look for her when we come and visit as she gives the best life / wine advice and it's always so fun catching up with her. I see her name in so many people's reviews and she is just such an awesome person!! TLDR: Our #1 favorite winery in Sonoma!

Yelp
Cool pieces of art to peruse during your tasting. We are members, and they have a special members section, which was dog friendly-yay! The wine we tasted was delish, as always. There was plenty of parking and the winery was very scenic, as are most on the hwy 12/sonoma county stops.

Yelp
Cute winery, gorgeous landscaping, the best gift shop and more importantly excellent wine. We loved and took home some "Wow" wine which is a red blend.

Yelp
We love Imagery. So much that for my sister's milestone bday I decided to gift her a membership. The wines are fun, have beautiful art to make each bottle look unique. Above that - there are so so many varietals. I've been a member of many wine clubs throughout the last decade and none of them come close to the variety that Imagery has. What made me want to write this review most recently was that we came up for a tasting early on a Friday morning with Sandi. For as many times as we had visited, I learned more about the winery and history than we had ever before. She was funny, charming and very engaging. The experience felt personal and after these crazy pandemic months, I have an even deeper appreciation for this effort. I also appreciated her care and how much she genuinely wanted to be sure we had a great experience. Thank you Sandi for making this visit a delight!

Yelp
Visited this beautiful winery while exploring Sonoma back in January. It wasn't part of the itinerary but we're glad that we accidentally stopped by. Walked in and the main bar was busy but was able to squeeze in. The server greeted us with a smile and suggested to try their wine tasting menu first, then decide later if we would get a bottle. For $15 per person, we were treated with 5 tastings. There were all different from one another but the server was kind enough to explain each wine as far taste, aroma and the region where it came from. I was immediately smitten by 2nd wine which was the 2014 Mourvèdre but I continued on with the rest of the samples. The other 2 that I liked very much were the 2014 Cabernet Franc and 2014 Tempranillo but I was still craving for more of the Mourvèdre so I decided to get a bottle for $39, which I also thought was a great deal. After paying, the server offered to open the bottle and I said absolutely. She handed us wine glasses and suggested to grab a seat outside. Wow! What a beautiful and relaxing outdoor space. We ended up staying there for a while but we also checked out the gallery and the private wine tasting rooms. Plus they also have a small retail area with couches and a fireplace. Just a gorgeous facility with super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Wish I could come back soon :)

Yelp
Got a wine tasting and Sandi was the sweetest person ever. i'm new to wine and admittedly don't know the difference between wines other than they are white or red. Sandi took the time to explain it to us and tell us all about it and which wines pair up nicely with food. We loved it so much we actually decided to become wine members and have been so excited to come back!

Yelp
We had a private tasting and it was amazing--Sandy was a delight and a wealth of knowledge. We joined the wine club and look forward to our wines. The labels being art work and never duplicated was a pleasant surprise.

Yelp
Great wine, great location, great people. Easy 5 stars. I sat outside on the patio on a blazing hot day in July (my choice, I love the heat). Servers were super friendly, informative, and attentive, but I never felt hurried or flustered. Kept me very well-supplied with water, and even offered some crackers for when my palate was getting killed by all the reds. All around the tasting was about 2 hours, with a number of wines off list added just because. Perfect experience. The wine itself was great. Different takes on varietals that tend to be extremely common around Sonoma. Very earthy, mineraly, with tannins. Not super fruity wines, although those notes are there. If that's what you like, this is your place. Would absolutely come back, and would consider making this one of my regular stops in Sonoma.
