This place has such delicious food, highly recommend the appetizer plate that lets you try 5 different appetizers. The Memphis bbq plate was SO good. The potato salad is exactly what you want and has amazing flavor. Great flavors great textures awesome atmosphere. Wish I lived close so I could come back and try the whole menu! Delicious food, big portions and great prices, you can’t go wrong.

They have delicious gluten-free options! As a vegan Celiac, I was in heaven! I got the fried chicken sandwich, which they fried in a separate pan. Best vegan chicken I’ve ever had! The gluten-free bread was good, and so were the sides! The fries are cooked in a shared fryer. I could have the tortilla chips though, and the spinach dip was yummy.

Amazing amazing food! Best Reuben I have ever had. I am so glad I found this place while in Memphis and encourage everyone else to do the same

I loved how inclusive this place felt. I also loved the beautiful drawings of cows, pigs, ducks, etc. on the walls. Food was very delicious! I got the vegan chicken philly on a gluten-free bun. Great gluten-free options!

This place was off the charts! Everyone here is SO nice, and they support🇵🇸 I got the shrimp dinner with mac n cheese and coleslaw. I subbed the cocktail sauce for their homemade ranch, and wow! I also tried some of their hush puppies and they were great. I got the snicker doodle cake and cookies and cream cake to go as well. It was seriously a great place and I can't wait to go back the next time I'm in Memphis!

Delicious vegan food! The food was so good I had to come back for seconds. The gumbo had so much flavor. The BBQ was the best vegan BBQ I’ve had. The deserts were chef’s kiss! The service is friendly, I would definitely make a stop here if I traveled to the area in the future. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I freaking love this place! 😀 Family owned. Friendly. Delicious! The menu offers so many vegan, cruelty free food options. I recommend ordering a bunch, sharing dishes, and taking plenty home for leftovers. And I can't forget to mention, they have CLEAN BATHROOMS. Restaurants with clean restrooms almost always get high stamps of approval from me.

This place is wonderful! Great vibes and friendly, helpful service. The food is amazing! 🤤 The spinach dip is out of this world. The combo with chicken drumsticks has so many sides and they are all so good. I was surprised how much I liked the cole slaw! 😋 Please try them all.

So this was a great place to come across. I was so hungry and have given up meat for a while. I'm happy to say that this place is a great substitute. PLEASE NOTE: Of course, it will not taste exactly like meat meals you've had. If you limit your palate to look for the "tells," you'll find it. FOOD: I had the fried chicken sandwhich. It was very simplistic, like a chic-fil-a sandwich. I added some ketchup to it, and it was really good. The bun was toasted, and you could taste the butter on the bun. I also had the gumbo, which was really good. The flavor is there, and it was so warm and filling. The perfect vegan comfort food. I took the double bacon cheeseburger to go, and I can't wait to eat it. We also got a strawberry cheese cake, cobbler, and a chess bar. Very sweet. The cobbler has a lot of flavor, but I wish that there was a little crust crunch in there somewhere. SERVICE/AMBIANCE Overall, the service was great, and the ambiance is very quaint and casual. I am so happy that they were available during this bad weather.

Delicious and perfect for gluten-free vegans or vegetarians. Great service and excellent food. I never thought I'd eat a chick'n philly again bc of bread but I was served the softest gf hoagie - I had to double confirm... unfortunately, my snickerdoodle cake slice was extremely bitter. I couldn't get through it (maybe it was chickpea flour or vegan butter. Everything else was delicious.

So, the place is rather dim and grimy, but the service is friendly and then there's the FOOD!! Most vegan places have a limited menu of mostly fried items. Imagine has an extensive menu. We started with the appetizer sampler. It was so delicious! The "mozzarella " sticks tasted also much like the real thing, except they are better! And the hushpuppies, yummmmm. I had a hard time choosing between the hot dog and Jamaican jerk chicken sandwich . I finally decided on the hot dog because I'm always excited for a vegan dog that doesn't taste like a smart dog microwaved in a bun. It absolutely did not disappoint and came with a ginormous serving of krinkle fries. We will happily return. One star deducted for the grime.

I come to Memphis annually for the GonerFest music festival. We're there for 4 days, and usually eat there 2x a day! Awesome vegan soul food. Good for the soul!

Just don't. I don't know where to begin. Hundreds of flies. Dirty, sticky tables and floor. Terrible service. Food so bad we sent it back after it took 20 minutes to get, even though we were 1of 3 seated tables. Our server didn't even bother to ask why we sent the food back, she just brought the check that includes a $4.50 service charge. No manager available to talk to, no attempt to make things right. I'm amazed this place can stay in business.

COCKROACHES!! Cockroaches carry bacteria, viruses, and parasites on their bodies and in their droppings. Ordered appetizer's (gross) and then realized this restaurant has a roach problem. The bill was paid and we left. I went with friends visiting from out of town (who are vegan), figured I would try it (gross). When I told the staff that they had a roach problem.. "yes, we know" was their reply. This restaurant also has signs inside the bathrooms and a flag supporting Palestine (seems political, the restaurant owners freedom of choice to support). My inclination was to leave since the restaurant was empty (we were the only patrons in the place). I don't typically write poor reviews, but felt the need to let people know the health risks of eating at this restaurant.

Great food. Great service. Great location. Great atmosphere. I ordered the rice bowl with beans and collards. It's a ton of food that's nicely seasoned, hot and homey. It really hit the spot. I'm from DC, so I really lucked out to find great vegan food in the land of meat and gravy

I started going without meat since June of this year and it was very hard starting out but after trying the Beyond burger I got from Sam's and to know that they use it was awesome. I'm addicted to various items like the THE BIG SMACK the Chikin legs shaped like drumsticks. Let me stop I'm getting hungry!!!

Wonderful. Just wonderful. We made a 45 minute drive to try this place. Well worth the drive as it did not disappoint. Food and service were top notch. We started with the chili cheese fries with sour cream. This is a meal within itself and was scrumptious. Next we had the BBQ sandwich with beans and Mac & cheese. Well, I ate every bite. Also had the buffalo chicken sandwich which was to die for. This is vegan food at the top of the game. We can't wait to visit again and again.

Super yummy vegan food. Loved the bbq, the Rueben and the shrimp po boy. The kitchen had crashed and our order took an hour, though. Just go without expectations, as is indicated on their website.

I was staying in the neighborhood and came across this restaurant when searching for vegan food. The space itself is super cute, I was able to set up my laptop and work. The staff was friendly, and most importantly, the food was delicious. I had the shrimp po boy and mac and cheese and they both had lots of flavor. The shrimp stayed crispy even with the sauce on it and wasn't chewy. I'm bummed I didn't get to go again because there were so many other things on the menu that looked really good!

Best vegan southern food I've ever had! Every single thing was delicious and flavorful! I highly recommend the breakfast platter and the veggie plate with potato salad, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and seasoned greens.

Just became a vegetarian 12/26/23 I have been cooking different foods from TikTok and facebook but I still enjoy eating out. So I started looking for different places than serve veggie dishes. I tried this spot today and had the impossible burger with fries it was very delicious and I loved the seasoned fries everything was hot. I was going to get a strawberry lemonade I thought it was made but it came in a small bottle it was over 3.00 so I decided to just have water. My husband had the Hotwings it was tofu I sampled his but although it was okay it wasn't to my liking. But it doesn't mean you may not like it. All in all it was worth the because everything on the burger was crisp and very fresh.

Vegan with lots of gf options! It is right on 78. The menu looks amazing, soon the reaction to the food... After trying the veggie platter and the shrimp po boy....velvet cake and strawberry smoothie I can say everything is great! Highly raccomended

As a non-vegan, I got the Memphis Sandwich Platter and the sandwich was tasty. The fries were basic crinkle cuts, though seasoned well, and the beans were ok. I'm glad I picked out my own order before reading these reviews because I wouldn't have known what to try first, lol. NOTE: They are only doing take out for the time being. I went around 3:30/4 p.m. and was in and out in 12 minutes. If you're going during lunch or dinner, I'd suggest calling ahead.

This place was a real surprise. I eat vegan when I'm out with my brother. The Memphis BBQ sandwich was excellent, one would not know it's vegan. The sides were also great. I had the baked beans and collard's. When I'm in the area I would definitely eat here again.

Food was really tasty! This is my 2nd vegan meal that I've ever eaten and I wasn't disappointed! I had the bbq sandwich with slaw, beans, and fries. Everything was sooooo good! I couldn't wait to get home to finish my left overs lol. Restaurant was clean and server took our order pretty fast. I also, tried a piece of my friends vegan burger and I fell in love TWICE! I will most definitely be back.

A great variety of vegan standards, and a really friendly staff. DEFINITELY try the barbecue. The fried sampler was also worth it. Get the chocolate cake!

My favorite go to spot . The service is always pleasant . This jerk chicken sandwich was perfect . It was very clean inside of this establishment. I got a chance to park in front this time . That Lemon Berry cake was Fye !!!

I loved everything, except the mac and cheese, which was good but had a weird aftertaste to me. There are a couple of small tables outside and a whole big case of desserts. The servers were very nice.

I lived most of my life in Memphis and never tried this restaurant. But since I've been plant based for two years now I just so happen to try it while visiting and it did not disappoint. I got the jerk chicken sandwich. The sauce was delicious, a little too much for me, and the pineapples really took it to another level. I really like the hush puppies and how they had a spice to them. I was also able to try to Memphis BBQ sandwich and you wouldn't even know it was vegan. It was that damn good. They got the sauce perfectly. When I eat that I definitely feel like I'm at home!!

My vegan friend has wanted to take me here for a while (I'm not vegan but am very open to all types of food.) I'm glad I finally had the time! We had the appetizer sampler and the chicken drumsticks with Mac and cheese and French fries. The chicken drumsticks were crispy and delicious. The ranch was amazing. I have struggled to find good pork for years. Been stuck with jackfruit, which is not bad, but it doesn't taste like pork. This BBQ sandwich was so good. How good? It made me flood my basement. I was blown away. The strawberry milkshake was also very good. a lil too sweet but reminded me of the diner shakes I had as a kid. the ruben was interesting. the meat was a kind of slimey texture, but the flavors were there. the mac and cheese was bad though. I don't think they use nut cheese so it was very watery and bland. that was a little depressing, but the bbq sandwich makes up for any other misgivings

Food was really great. I got the bbq "pork" sandwich with beans and fries. Delicious. All of the reviews are correct about it. The Mac and "cheese" was basic though. Also the buffalo "chicken" was just ok. I was also NOT a fan of the strawberry lemon cake OR the snickerdoodle cake. The server was super nice, helpful and knowledgeable. It took them a long time to prepare the meal so do not go if you have to rush. Overall food was delicious though so I would go back.

When I first went, I truly did not know what to expect. I just know that I wanted to try them out! Let me first say, I love the aesthetics of the restaurant it is so cute and family friendly. I took a few pictures of the play area. They even have drawing on the wall (look like it was done by children), so yes that made me love it even more. I must say too, when I try out a vegan spot I always think the prices are going to be through the roof, but that wasn't the case. I was shocked how reasonable the prices are. This was my first time, so I tried the sampler. I had pig in a blanket, loaded potatoes, hush puppies, buffalo chicken strips, and a regular chicken nugget. It was all so good. I could not believe that it was not meat! I can't wait to go back and try more menu items! Great place!

I drove 1.5 hours to get to Memphis because I was saying overnight in a small town nearby. I knew I wanted vegetarian options so I did a Yelp search and found Imagine. I was disappointed that the dining area wasn't open so I had to eat in my car. The sandwich was yummy. It tastes even better when I put the coleslaw on it. Beans, tasty. Favored well. I'm probably going to go back to Memphis and when I do, I'll PROBABLY go back to Imagine and try another sandwich.

Imagine having a verity of options of your favor foods. The food was delicious as always and staff are always so kind. I've never had a vegan chicken philly but it was tasty.

We were in Memphis for conference and my husband is vegan so it was very hard to find a place for both of us to eat. We found this location on Yelp and decided to check it out. When we 1st looked over the menu we were so excited to taste all of the different vegan options and started off with the mixed appetizer. Very disappointed to see that it was pretty much all of the frozen vegan items we typically get from the grocery store that was presented to us on a plate at a much higher cost then when I serve the same items at home. The beans tasted like canned beans and very salty, the fries tasted like they came from a frozen bag. The only good items were the corn dogs and sweet tea. I was extremely disappointed that they used frozen processed grocery store vegan food items and pushed this off as restaurant quality. When we support vegan restaurants we are looking for fresh, creative cooking at a premium price because its fresh. I would suggest finding another alternative if your looking for fresh made food with fruits and vegetables. This is not it.

I ordered through a delivery service (postmates) to get some vegan grub delivered to my hotel during a recent stay in Memphis. I wanted to try a lot of their sides so I ordered the veggie plate (4 sides) and also the Chicken Drumsticks, which came with 2 sides. By now, I should know better than to expect a rich flavor profile to vegan mac and cheeses other than my own! The texture and sauce was on point but I felt that the flavor really lacked. I also felt this way about the coleslaw and greens. I wanted to like the greens but they were so salty and not super flavorful other than that. I'm not saying I didn't eat these sides, because I'm a lover of mixing flavors together and I surely ate every single bite. I don't like to waste! And it's not like it was terrible, it just wasn't the best. With all that out of the way, the cornbread was LIT. So were the hushpuppies! The bbq baked beans were banging and I loved the house made chicken drumsticks. So glad I asked for both their honey mustard and ranch dipping sauces. I used both! It seemed like the menu was mainly comprised of store bought vegan meats (maybe gardein products) so I'm glad I opted for something house made since I have those other products at home all the time. I loved the texture and flavor of the vegan chicken and the fact that they put a wooden stick in the center for that old fashioned "drumstick" feel. Vegans are nostalgic too, even if we are vegan for the animals :) The menu is huge and I wanted to order so much more but I will just have to try it my next visit. I'm looking at you, bbq sandwich!

Full disclosure: I am not a vegan, but my sister is. This place is totally approved by her... AND ME! Our food was GREAT! My sister was thrilled to be in a fully vegan restaurant, so we ordered a little bit of everything. It was really cool to get a taste of it all. As a vegan skeptic, I was like "all the food is going to taste the same..." Well I was wrong! Everything had its own unique flavor and texture. Some of the food you would never even guess was vegan. There's also a whole display case of fresh homemade vegan desserts that the owner makes herself. YUM. Currently, they do not allow dine in and are only doing take out. Overall, super happy with the food, the staff, and quality of our meal.

There were so many options. I chose the BBQ plate and was not disappointed. I'll have to return to try other menu items.

Baby B*tthole Bistro--still serving the s-word! Well now. I had to see what the Baby B*tthole Bistro was like several years after it became a cause celebre. It did not disappoint anyone who recalls the then-owners (I assume they still are) psychotic diarrhea (they must have gotten that from their toddler) all over social media in 2017. This all had to do with their potty TRAINING (not trained, note that) toddler wandering all over the restaurant showing diners its b*tthole. No, I can't make this kind of s-word up. :D The service on this occasion (May 2023) was rude, dismissive, and incompetent. The food is, as someone else's review said, along the lines of Daiya mac and cheese--at best. Oversalted, greasy, fat bombs, little flavor to be had anywhere--and it's pitiful that it gets good reviews. Some of the worst, breadiest, limpest hush puppies I've ever regretted trying. Desserts are sugar bombs of a certain glutinous consistency which probably can be left to the imagination. People's taste is in their....ok, enough of that for one review LOL!

Visited Memphis and tried out this cool place I love the atmosphere the food everything about it. Hands down the bbq sandwich is delicious it is hard finding vegan bbq and wow Imagine blew my mind!

Ugh. I had such high hopes for this place, especially after I arrived and found out they make the vegan ranch I have shipped to Reno. I ordered a ton of food to go because they don't offer dine in. They advertise a white Mac or a cheddar Mac, or a combo. I opted for the combo. I was utterly sad to discover it was cold, and bland. It didn't look like two kinds of Mac, it looked boring. I got their bbq sandwich which was very good. The beans that came with it were also great. The coleslaw was awesome but came in a container the size of a cup of ranch. Speaking of ranch, before I realized they were the people I order ranch from, I asked for a side of ranch. I never received it, instead I got tarter sauce. I also got the fried chicken sandwich with mashies. The sandwich was so boring and plain I actually drove to a Kroger to buy crystal hot sauce to put on it. The mashies were almost perfect except they were soaked in salt. I love salt but this wasn't edible. I didn't finish it. The corn bread was dry in a way I didn't know corn bread Could be. I ordered 3 desserts and received 2. I asked for the chocolate cake which was so dry that hours later after I doused it in coconut milk and let it soak, it was STILLL dry. The gluten free blueberry cream dessert was just awful. The mint pie? I dont know. I never got mine. Overall I would not return. It wasn't worth getting lost and spending 10 minutes trying to park. Not bad! The reviews were HIGH and I had HIGHHHHHH hopes for this place... As usual i was about to order the whole menu since i was leaving off to the airport and ordered to go. Plus they didn't have dine in and it was cold outside anyway. I ordered the IMPOSSIBLE 1-5 i have to say a 3, the chicken nuggets 1-5 a 2. I got to the airport to eat it, it was cold not there fault at all BUT the taste was bland. Next trip back i'll try something more different than a plain veggie burger. Nice size menu and im sure other stuff they had were better!

Racist place ever!!! The girl that works there is disgusting. I shop with imagine vegan a lot but this last customer service I got from them I will never step foot in there again! The girl that served me seemed very agitated, she is not friendly at all. I made an over the counter order and was told it would be an hour wait time. I agreed and placed the order anyway. i went back to get my order and was told there was no order for me. I stood there and watched her write down my order and she sped off with an attitude. If you don't like certain people and then you shouldn't be in a position to serve!!!

I had an absolutely phenomenal meal at Imagine Vegan while stopping for a day in Memphis on a road trip. Had I been in the city longer, I would have eaten there more than once! Here's what's so great about Imagine Vegan: 1. They're being really responsible about COVID-19, even in fall 2021 when a lot of restaurants have started pretending the pandemic doesn't exist: they're open for take-out only, and the staff wears masks. The price automatically includes a 10% tip that goes directly to servers. If you're visiting, there are lots of nearby benches in the area that you can sit on. We found street parking easily on a weekday at around noon. 2. The prices are *really* good, especially for portion size: fully vegan restaurants are often feel really marked up for a captive audience, but Imagine Vegan definitely is not. 3. The food is SO good! My husband and I split an appetizer sampler - you get to try two each of pigs n blankets, potato skins, hush puppies, "wings", and chicken nuggets (with sauces!) - all for just $10. We also got a large Memphis BBQ platter: just as I was starting to feel a bit sad that I wouldn't get to try the flavors of Memphis BBQ since I don't eat meat, I discovered that Imagine Vegan sells really great seitan-based barbecue. I recommend the "large" platter - for only $1 more, you get *two* sandwiches, along with great fries and really excellent baked beans. Check it out - even if you're a meat-eater, you'll find a lot to love!

We came here for some vegan food and we were so pleasantly surprised by the amazing food and service. Our server was outstanding - so friendly, gave us great recommendations, and just really lovely in general. And the food was excellent! I hadn't had any good vegan barbecue before, and it was so, so good. Definitely recommend if you're looking for an indulgent, yummy meal (especially if you're vegan) in a cool spot run by great people.

YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS! I ordered the buffalo wings as an appetizer and they were just perfect! The wings were small; you can find photos in other reviews. I can see why they sell the ranch in bottles because it is SO good, especially for being vegan! It's thin and tastes like the real thing! The shrimp po boy was just fantastic! I loved the amount of lettuce, pickles, and sauce that they included! I'd never had vegan shrimp, but it's very tasty! The chili fries were also very good! The only downside: I ordered sweet potato fries with chili, and these don't look (or tlike sweet potato to me? They were still awesome! The restaurant also has a little display of snacks and desserts for sale! I wanted to try every single thing, but I went with a piece of vegan jerky made by Primal Spirit. IT WAS BOMB. Please try this place! I drove 30 mins (one way!) for it and I plan to do it again tomorrow! Can't wait to try it all! UPDATED REVIEW: I did go back, and today was a pretty bad one for them... I live 30 mins away so I made the drive and arrived at 6 just to be told that they were closed until 6:30... This isn't posted anywhere, and I'm guessing they did it because they were busy or something? After 35 mins (I placed the order at 6:30 and received it at about 7:05), the cashier puts my food on the counter with my three to-go boxes sideways....... I literally looked at her and just said "oooookay..?" and she didn't fix it. My shrimp po boy did not look so hot after that. In addition, we tried the buffalo chicken sandwich, and it was very soggy! They didn't cook the chicken long enough to be crispy for the sandwich. On top of everything, they left 2 of my items off when they handed me my food, and I had to go back in to get it (thank god I checked before I drove home). This place seems very hit or miss, and I'm sure all of the bad reviews are justified. The customer service is lacking.

When you travel to Memphis, you want to try some bbq! I am not a vegan and I already had a filling bbq lunch around the corner. However, my vegetarian husband couldn't find much to eat at that place and asked if we could try here. Lunch number 2!! I wish I had eaten lunch already because the food was very good. My husband got the bbq sandwich with slaw and fries. We got a side of cornbread and I got spinach dip. The spin dip was fine. Nothing too amazing about but perfectly fine. My husbands sandwich was out of this world. I had a few bites and didn't know it wasn't actually meat. The texture and sauces were perfect. Wonderful spot to bring even your meat-lover friends. Very kid friendly.
