The State Mosque, also known as the Imam Muhammad Ibn Abd al-Wahhab Mosque, is the largest mosque in Qatar. It is a place of great tranquility and spirituality, offering a spacious and magnificent setting for worship. We arrived at the mosque for Asr Salah and were fortunate to hear the adhan and participate in the prayer. The main prayer hall can accommodate over 200 people in a single row, providing ample space for worshippers. Despite being situated in a bustling city, the mosque offers a peaceful sanctuary from the surrounding chaos. The mosque features a spacious veranda, as well as ample outdoor space and underground parking facilities. Additionally, visitors can enjoy a breathtaking view of the corniche from the stairs leading to the parking area. The State Mosque holds particular significance for Qatari citizens, as it is a popular destination for Friday Jummah Salah. In summary, the State Mosque is a remarkable architectural marvel that provides a serene and spiritual environment for religious observance and reflection.

Very happy when I visited this biggest, beautiful and fatastic Masjid of Doha. HIt has spacious hall and a small beautiful library also in the mosques. Big parking area underneath the Masjid. Wood art is admirable. Most foreign personalities come to this Masjid for Jumma and Eid prayers. Special area is reserved for ladies.

The mosque exudes a sense of peace and spirituality, making it a perfect spot for quiet reflection and prayer. The exterior courtyard, adorned with soft lighting at night, is equally breathtaking and adds to the tranquil ambiance. Visitors also appreciate the mosque’s immaculate cleanliness and the warm hospitality of the staff

Qatar National Mosque Grand Mosque‎جامع الإمام محمد بن عبد الوهاب As Qatar's largest mosque, Imam Abdul Wahab Mosque, also known as the Qatar National Mosque, was completed in 2011. Simple lines, elegant arches, very eye-catching, rich in Islamic traditional architectural features. The mosque has three libraries, separate prayer and fasting bathing halls for men and women, and a dedicated Koranic reciting hall that can accommodate more than 30,000 worshippers. The mosque is beautifully orthodox Islamic architecture, with a fascinating interior, a variety of hand-woven carpets with different patterns and 28 twig ceilings that automatically adjust the light and darkness according to the natural light coming in through the window. The Grand National Mosque was built in memory of his father by Qatar's founder, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani, named after Mohamed Ibn Abdul Wahabi. Address: 8G84+R83, Al Muhandiseen St, Doha, Qatar Transportation: Metro Red Line to 'corniche' and walk for half an hour, bus T605 Time: 10:30-19:00 Tickets: Free

Beautiful mosque inside out. The building has been given time touch much like Makkah and Madina's interior. Separate place for kids to play. There is a ladies section where ladies can also play.
