Such a breathtaking mosque, boasting stunning architecture and set within an expansive complex that can accommodate over 30,000 worshippers at once. No prior booking is required, and the friendly mosque volunteers are always welcoming and helpful. If you arrive in shorts or non-conservative attire, they’ll gladly provide the appropriate clothing so you can enter with ease. An absolute must-visit when in Doha.

Architecture & Design The mosque boasts a magnificent blend of traditional and modern Islamic architecture. With its domes, grand archways, and intricate geometric patterns, it reflects the beauty of Islamic heritage while incorporating contemporary elements. The spacious prayer hall, adorned with chandeliers and calligraphy, provides a serene atmosphere for worshippers. Religious & Cultural Significance Named after Imam Muhammad Ibn Abd Al Wahhab, a prominent Islamic scholar, the mosque serves as a central place for religious teachings, prayers, and sermons. It plays a key role in Qatar’s Islamic and cultural identity, hosting important events during Ramadan and Friday prayers. Facilities & Capacity The mosque can accommodate over 30,000 worshippers, making it one of the largest mosques in the region. It has separate prayer areas for men and women, large courtyards, and modern facilities, including ample parking space. Visitor Experience • Open to Non-Muslims: While primarily a place of worship, the mosque allows non-Muslim visitors to explore its beauty and learn about Islamic culture, provided they follow modest dress codes and visit during designated hours. • Peaceful Atmosphere: The mosque’s elevated location provides stunning views of Doha’s skyline, making it a great spot for reflection and photography. • Accessibility: Easily accessible from different parts of Doha, with well-organized entrances and guidance for visitors. Final Verdict The Qatar National Mosque is a must-visit landmark for anyone interested in Islamic architecture, spirituality, or Qatari culture. Whether for prayer, sightseeing, or learning, it offers a deeply enriching experience.

Visiting the Imam Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab Mosque was a truly memorable experience. We arrived on a weekday around 10 a.m. and were pleasantly surprised to find the mosque nearly empty, giving us a peaceful, unhurried opportunity to admire the stunning architecture in quiet awe. Our guide, Sarah, was an absolute highlight—kind, informative, and easy to connect with. Originally from the U.S., she made us feel instantly at ease and enriched our visit with thoughtful insights into both the structure and the principles of Islam. The tour was completely free, but the experience was priceless. A must-visit in Doha!

Absolutely stunning mosque! The architecture is breathtaking, with intricate designs and a peaceful ambiance that makes it perfect for prayer and reflection. The interiors are beautifully lit, especially in the evening, creating a truly serene atmosphere. Plenty of parking, well-maintained facilities, and a welcoming environment. A must-visit if you're in Doha! 🤍

Another beautiful venue to visit whilst in Doha. Takes about 20 to 30 min walk from the West Bay metro station. Alternatively there is a bus (107 i believe) which goes from West Bay to the Mosque. The Mosque gardens are beautiful. The Mosque itself is lovely too and super spacious inside. The office / library area hands out Islamic books for free in multiple languages (which doesn't relate to me) , and hand out more appropriate clothing for women and men where required.

A very beautiful Mosque with a rich history. This was an awesome experience and a must-visit. The view is already breathtaking to the Mosque and the Doha-skyline. For everyone who is interested in Islamic culture is this very interesting. You learn and see there so many aspects. The staff is very helpful and friendly, my great appreciation and thanks again to Sarah. I learned so much from her and great was it to meet her there. I came without a tour guide and gave not a call in advance, but that was completely not a problem. Amazing accompaniment from the entrance and during the tour through the building. Definitely worth, what a wonderful afternoon I had.

A stunning mosque named after the brilliant Imam Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhab رحمه الله. The mosque is very large and clean. The views are stunning not only if the mosque but if the city in the background.

Very beautiful from outside. Unfortunately we couldn’t visit inside because was during Ramadan and we arrived in time of prayer. The security only let us to admire from outside. Very nice people. Useful info: they have a giant parking lot, so you can drive there with no worries.
