We spent three unforgettable days at this safari lodge during our honeymoon, and it was truly the trip of a lifetime. The airport transfer was seamless, with an air-conditioned vehicle that made the journey comfortable and relaxing from the start.||The lodge itself was stunning, and the meals were some of the best we’ve ever had. Each dish was beautifully prepared, and we were blown away by the quality and flavor of every meal. The attention to detail throughout our stay was exceptional—everything was thoughtfully planned to ensure we had the most incredible experience.||The service was outstanding. The staff went above and beyond to cater to our every need, making us feel pampered and taken care of throughout our stay. ||The animal sightings were incredible; from the moment we walked in we got to see a family of elephants bathing during our lunch.||Overall, this lodge was the perfect place for a romantic and adventurous honeymoon, and we couldn’t recommend it more. The combination of great service, amazing meals, and exceptional attention to detail made it a truly special experience.

Staying at Imbali Safari Lodge was the highlight of our three-week South African trip. We stayed for four nights in ultimate luxury and enjoyment. We took advantage of the twice-daily safari drives on comfortable and custom Land Cruisers. From the bush babies (hot water bottles to stay warm on the drives) to the delicious food choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, it was clear that the folks at Imbali are thoughtful and thorough in the way they take care of their guests. The room was immaculate, comfortable, and relaxing. With a great view of the riverbed (and the elephants), we enjoyed our down time almost as much as we enjoyed our safari drives with Victor who on our first night spotted a 4-inch lizard twenty feet into the bush. While the lizard itself was not that impressive, it was Victor's ability to find and identify the flora, fauna, birds, and wildlife in Kruger that was on full display. Each subsequent drive was a grand adventure seeking out all that the national park has to offer. Upon return, Mary and the rest of the staff made sure that we were taken care of with good food and drink.

We stayed at Imbali Safari Lodge fir 3 nights in early July 2025. An amazing lodge with extremely hospitable staff. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly as also took us to the right spots. While we saw a No of animals, did miss seeing the Buffalo & the lion….though on our last safari we did spot two of the ‘pride’ for a couple of secs, behind the bush, albeit at a distance. The Bush walk was excellent and educative. ||The food at Imbali was excellent and there was plenty of it. The watering hole was great…across the dry river bed…and it was nice to be eating meals while animals (mainly elephant herd) stopped over for a ‘drink’||The management was nice to have a BOMA dinner for us, though it was||Overall an amazing experience with suites that were cosy, clean and comfortable. A esp mention must be made of Mary, Golden & Winston from the staff and Kingsley, Jenin & Mpho from the guides (and drivers of the safari vehicles….wonderful viewing from the well renovated open safari vehicles)||Would not like to miss out on the fact that the Lodge was very active in replying to my emails and answered each query immediately. Esp mention of Lungile Munukha the reservation consultant||God bless Imbali & Extraordinary!!

WOW!!||We have just got back from five nights at Imbali for our honeymoon and have made lifelong memories here.||The lodge itself feels very traditional, lovely restaurant area with the added bonus of the watering hole you can view from your table. We were lucky enough to see animals there most mealtimes! Rooms were great too, we enjoyed cooling off in our plunge pool on the deck after our morning safaris. Food was also delicious!! You definitely wouldn’t go hungry here and the lovely staff remember your general wine orders for you. We actually had a day where we were the only guests in the whole lodge & treated like royalty - France especially was great.||The BEST part of our whole South Africa trip was our safari drives.|Gombe/Clement was absolutely AMAZING. Not only was he soo knowledgeable on everything safari related, we loved our sundown drinks getting to know him and his village traditions etc. We honestly felt so lucky to have him as our driver and even luckier we had multiple private drives, we cannot thank you enough! ||If you would like a traditional lodge experience with great staff, lovely food & the best safari drives, book to go here. We will treasure these memories forever!|||Ps:|As other people previously mentioned the lodge is around 2 hours from|Hoedspruit airport but don’t let this put you off, the drive itself is like a game drive!

Wonderful lodge in the middle of Kruger. Cabins are spacious, comfortable, clean. Private small pool with each cabin and view to the park. More than once we saw elephants walking by while sitting on the patio of our cabin. Food was delicious and always with choices. Staff were excellent - welcoming, efficient, friendly. Safaris were exceptional. Jeanine (sp?) was our guide and she was terrific. Very knowledgeable, very attentive, great sense of humour and made the trip a huge success. Would recommend this lodge and would visit again.

This lodge is one of the best we have stayed in. We have done many safaris over the years. Staff very good. Rooms spacious with everything you need. Even you own little plunge pool. Our guide, Clement, was very good. He took his time on the drives, always looking, searching for sightings. We find some guides just race around! Even my gluten free needs were fully catered for. Thanks Imbali for a great visit.
