Well-situated, easy access to main activity areas within old town. If it matters - hotel guests get 10% off from McDonald’s within same building. Basic rooms but good enough, as expected for price point, and most importantly clean. However, the only way to get hot water from shower means having to lower water output greatly such that the heater has time to do its job. Could use more power sockets. Staff cordial, hotel quiet despite location.

The IMM Hotel in Chiangmai is of average standard. The rooms are adequate. The bathroom are too much smaller, No place to keep the luggage and no wardrobe. The breakfast has minimum choices and he menu is the same everyday. Very few choices for vegetarian guests. The staff are not very friendly but still OK. They do listen guests want in room and do their best to ease them. I suggest, they should change their breakfast menu everyday with more choices for veg items so both veg and non veg can enjoy.

I truly cherish this place. In November, I made the choice to spend a few days here. The customer service is outstanding. It’s located right in front of Tae Phae and very near the Night Bazar. I’ve become fond of this hotel due to its friendly staff and lovely rooms. Currently, I reside in the Haiya sub-district, but when I first visited Chiang Mai, they greeted me with such warmth that I will always hold that memory dear. Regarding the location, it’s simply ideal. I frequently drop by to enjoy a cold brew in the lobby because it truly is a magical spot. So, if you ever spot me in the lobby, it’s simply because I miss you. Thank you for your hospitality.

Room did not have a window which made me feel a bit uncomfortable and lack of fresh air. Breakfast was bad to be honest. We have skipped it twice (even though we paid for it) because the options were so limited. There was no electricity for one day (9 am - 4pm) and because there are no windows we couldn’t see anything in the room. The location was good. I would recommend staying somewhere else when visiting Chiang Mai.

I can see why a certain type of leisure traveler would love this kind of accommodation, but for business travelers it just isn’t suitable. While in a very central location across Tha Phae gate, near to tons of food stalls, cafes, bars, etc, it is situated on a very congested street with a McDonalds in front, making it difficult and sometimes downright dangerous for ride shares to pickup/dropoff. We had meant to walk to the markets at night but the streets were so crowded that we couldn’t risk banging into other people while carrying pieces that we had purchased for our shop. Also, and this is what made this a “never again” for us - there is no hot water! After 15 hour days spent on our feet in dusty streets and villages, having to shower in warm water just did not cut it. For those on vacation, people who don’t require luxuries like hot water, this is a great budget option as the staff is very kind, rooms have small refrigerators and AC and WiFi are both reliable. Beds are also pretty comfortable, and for under $50/night you can’t go wrong. Bottom line - if Hot water is a must, don’t. If you’re ok with warm showers and don’t need to stick to a schedule or on traveling on business, look for newer accommodations like the Luck Thai which will now be our company’s default.

The rooms are small & congested, but given the spot on location just opposite to Ta Phae gate (especially during friday markets) are such a delight.
