Well-situated, easy access to main activity areas within old town. If it matters - hotel guests get 10% off from McDonald’s within same building. Basic rooms but good enough, as expected for price point, and most importantly clean. However, the only way to get hot water from shower means having to lower water output greatly such that the heater has time to do its job. Could use more power sockets. Staff cordial, hotel quiet despite location.

Not recommended. Pros: Strategic location with happening town. Cons: - Like an event hall comverted into rooms. - Room facilities are bad for the price we’re paying for. - Doesn’t feel safe. Door corridor is public accessible. - Door lock doesn’t work. Asked for technician to come. He didn’t solve the issue. Door left unlocked.

Location is excellent just in front of Thaphae gate. Service is good. Triple room is good. However, double room is too small and tight. Overall, it is good to stay there as budget trip.

We found out during our trip that there was flooding in Chiang Mai, so for safety reasons, we had to cancel that part of our trip. But when I reached out to the hotel in advance, they and the booking platform kept blaming each other and making up excuses to avoid giving us a refund. The person at the hotel even lied, saying they never got a request from the platform, which wasted an entire day for us. In the end, we didn’t get our money back. The staff’s terrible attitude made that day of our trip to Thailand really bad. Thailand is great, but this hotel was awful. The staff were arrogant and rude.

The hotel has Superior, Deluxe, Deluxe Corner, and Family Room, and is a good hotel to recommend as a cost-effective and well-located hotel. Imm Hotel Tha Phae Gate Chiang Mai is located in front of ThaPhae Gate, which is the entrance to Chiang Mai's Old City, so there are many shops around. It has Starbucks Coffee Shop, Amazon Cafe, Boots Store, McDonald's Burger King, Pizza Company, 7-Eleven, and famous dessert cafes. Imm Hotel ThaPhe Gate is close to Warorot Market, Night Bazaar, and the Sunday Market, which opens every Sunday.

I booked this hotel online, but I couldn’t check in upon arrival. I had to wait in the hotel lobby for several hours before I could get into the room, which was around 6:30 PM. Good hotel good location but Bad service
