We went back to Eger after 20 years and this was our first time to stay at Imola hotel. Great location with the option for underground car parking for fees. We got room number 2 which was located on the first floor with a balcony to view on the castle. The room is not huge but includes a small fridge with drinks and sweets. Short walk distance almost everywhere. Absolutely lovely food at Macok bistro (Michelin awarded restaurant) which we may highly recommend. Very friendly staff.

A beautiful and well organized hotel, located a few meters away from the medieval fortress. Everyone at the hotel was nice and ready to help. We also liked the garage that can accommodate about 10 cars.

We are recurring guests for 3 years in a row. The location is great, so is the restaurant. The rooms are ok but their air conditioning is really due for replacing - doesn’t cool much and sounds like it’s about to explode which makes it impossible to sleep with it on. Then the staff is a mixed bag - the receptionists were friendly and the guy working the evening shift spoke great English (which is a unique feature in Hungary). The breakfast female attendant was a disaster though - we came like 30 min before the breakfast was closing - coffee machine was broken, no plates, no glasses on the tables and they weren’t stuffing the buffet any longer which meant we didn’t get enough bread of our liking. When we approached the waitress she helped us but with an attitude. We really felt like intruders and not like paying hotel guests.

Great location adjacent to the castle and on the verge of the bustling area of Eger. A great place to stay but we did have a few issues. It was an extra hot few days and the A/C could not quite keep up. We learned to cool the room down with the morning air and then close down the curtains. In room #4 the WiFi signal was not very strong but there was service. On our first day they the self-service coffee machine at breakfast stopped working but they gladly made our coffees on their super-machine in the kitchen. The next day the machine was replaced with an alternate the also had problems. We could only make espresso and then we could add what we wished. None of these issues were a big problem or would keep us from returning.

We just spent three lovely days at this hotel, and could not be happier with our stay. Nice clean rooms, helpful friendly service, and an absolutely epic restaurant on site (Michelin starred). The location could not be better, it is literally right next to the castle entrance. Thank you so much!

We spent just one night and it was fine. The rooms have a good size, shower is great (good pressure). The balcony has no privacy, it's a long corridor with chairs and tables connecting all bedrooms, but we didn't use it anyway. The breakfast was nice. The waitress kept refilling things pretty fast and helping when someone couldn't make the machine to work.

I recently stayed at the hotel for one night and had the pleasure of staying in a rooftop apartment. The hotel boasts an excellent location in the heart of the city, yet still offers a peaceful and tranquil environment. The breakfast provided was top-notch, offering a variety of delicious options to start the day off right. The room itself was well-appointed and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities one would expect from a hotel. The staff was friendly and accommodating, always willing to assist with any needs or questions. Overall, my stay at this hotel was fantastic and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay.

We stayed here for two nights while wine tasting in Eger. What a lovely spot. We had a nice little apartment (room 6 - although not so great for my husband who is 6’5” because we were on the top floor and the ceilings slanted. Glad he survived.). This is a lovely location with parking for guests (for an extra charge). Quite a bargain and a lovely place.
