I recently had the pleasure of dining at Impronta Venice, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious, each dish bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. It’s clear that the chefs put a lot of thought and care into every plate. The service was equally impressive. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, making excellent recommendations that enhanced the overall experience. The timing of each course was perfect, and they made sure we felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout the meal. I highly recommend Impronta Venice for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience in Venice. It’s a must-visit for food lovers!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An unforgettable culinary experience! The lobster pasta was absolutely divine — rich in flavor, beautifully presented, and perfectly cooked. Every bite was a celebration of freshness and quality. Highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates fine seafood and impeccable service!

From beginning to end, the story of our dinner can be summarized as a delightful and fanciful jaunt through the intellectually exquisite tastes of the chef. This menu contains soul. To write more would cheapen the love of cuisine and respect to patrons this establishment showcased us on this fine evening.

Seriously the food was INSANELY good. Hands down the best gnocchi and pasta I’ve ever had in my life. Top notch service. So sad we only had enough time to eat here once.

We had an absolutely unforgettable experience at this wonderful restaurant! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality. The atmosphere was cozy ,the food was simply outstanding—every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. You can tell the chefs take great pride in using fresh, high-quality ingredients. Each bite was a delight, from the appetizers to the decadent dessert tiramisu.Definitely high recommended and will love to come again.

Impronta is a culinary gem in the heart of Venice. This restaurant masterfully blends Venetian tradition with a modern approach, creating an exceptional gastronomic experience. The atmosphere at Impronta is lovely. From the moment you step inside, you are enveloped in an elegant yet incredibly welcoming ambiance. Subtle lighting, refined decor, and discreet music contribute to a state of relaxation and anticipation. It's the ideal spot for a romantic dinner ❤️. But the true star is, without a doubt, the food. Each dish is a work of art, both visually and in taste. We were deeply impressed by the freshness of the ingredients, the impeccable quality, and especially by the perfect balance of flavors. From the homemade pasta, with a divine texture, to the impeccably cooked fresh fish and see food, every bite is a celebration of authentic Italian cuisine with a distinct Venetian flair. I highly recommend the seafood specialties, which are a true explosion of flavor. The service is impeccable. The staff is attentive, professional, and extremely friendly, anticipating guests' needs without being intrusive. If you are looking for a memorable dining experience in Venice, Impronta is a choice you won't regret.

This is a nice little hidden gem in Venice. The restaurant is beautiful decorated with a modern vibe. The food was fantastic and the service was exceptional! We were especially a big fan of the tuna tarter!

Google
We stopped in for dinner for 2. All dishes were phenomenal - the tagliatelle and red mullet especially so. Service was fantastic with multiple additional courses served as compliments of the chef.Atmosphere was cozy and intimate but not overly formal. Conversation was possibly at normal volume. I would 100% return to the restaurant again and the meal was one of the highlights of Venice.

Yelp
My friend had suddenly returned to Florence for a meeting, so I went to the restaurant alone at 11pm. Their food was amazing and I ordered the creamy seafood pasta and the berry pudding. The heavy cream with the seafood was so delicious and it was the best dessert I've ever had! Their service is really very intimate and warm, until closing time is still in earnest service. They are always attentive to the needs of their customers. All I did was mention tiramisu. They gave me one. The restaurant environment is also very relaxed and chill, unique decoration style and murals. This is my most memorable day in Venice, if you are in Venice please try this restaurant!!

Yelp
Food: The pasta dishes were amazing! I devoured my pasta, I loved the sauce and how it was cooked, and got to try some of my family's dishes as well. We all enjoyed our dishes and left with empty plates haha. Tuna tartare was also delicious. Tuna was so fresh and refreshing on a hot(ter) day. Service: Food was fast! Ambiance: It wasn't too busy when we came by on an evening (6:30 pm) on a weekday in May. We sat by the window so there was nice natural light coming in.

Yelp
WOW! Our first day in Venice (and Italy!) and we decided to go to Impronta. I spent quite a bit of time researching places to go before our trip and we were not disappointed. We booked our reservation in advance and everything went smoothly when we arrived. The 7p-9p was booked day of I noticed so book slightly in advance if you can. Everyone that took care of us was lovely. We started with the chef's special raw fish app and wine, then the seafood amatriciana (first time having it and very pleased), finished with the tiramisu and a wonderful espresso martini with baileys, and lastly a delicious limoncello. My husband doesn't care much for tiramisu but it's one of my favorites and he couldn't put his fork down for this one. The espresso martini was beautiful and possibly the best I've had (and I've had plenty coast to coast in the states!). The pace of the dinner was perfect, it gave us time to chat and also enjoy our meal. The interior is lovely and relaxing. Overall I definitely recommend this spot, and if you're lucky, Roman will be your server and make your evening that much better. Although, everyone was great. Check this place out if you're looking for a great seafood inspired dinner.

Yelp
We had scoped this place prior to our trip. Having seen it pop up in multiple reviews and on various sites, it seemed like a no brainer to make a reservation for our first night in Venice. The reviews were spot on and this place was simply fantastic. Service was on point and the food was excellent. The wine service missed a few marks and so this would have been a 4.5 but given the totality of the experience I rounded up The wine list was decent and we went with the 2018 Antinori BDM which was reasonably priced. If we are getting down to brass tacks it should have been decanted and the stemware could have been better for a BDM. It also was stored on a shelve not in a proper cellar as it came to the table at best room temperature The Food: Steak Tartar: nicely minced and fresh. Minimally seasoned to make the beef shine. The aioli added a bit of richness as the meat was quite lean Beef carpaccio: Not a true rendition as the meat had a slight sear on it. The beef however was near blue in the center. The aioli as before added a bit of richness and the pesto crema? helped to balance it out. The croutons were a bit superfluous. gnocchi with duck ragu: Nice pillowy gnocchi and the duck ragu had a nice depth of flavor and while it was simply spiced the freshness of the ingredients shone through lukewarm spaghetti on beef tartare: Wow this one was good. The tartar was as above minus the aioli. The al dente pasta was sauced with ricotta and thyme was rich and luxurious. The tartare had finely chopped olives and tomatoes in it and the brininess helped tame the richness. Beef with Rocket: Yes I went beef, beef, and more beef for all three courses. The beef was cooked a perfect rare with just salt and pepper. The parmesean flakes and rocket helped cut the rich beef flavor for a nicely balanced bite. Pineapple carpaccio: Thin sliced pineapple that were macerated in grappa? formed into a flower. So Tasty We finished the night with an Amaro

Yelp
Totally fine with a hip atmosphere but a good example of Tripadvisor's overwhelmingly positive spin creating hazards. This is a very good restaurant but compared to high-end big-city Italian in the US it's nothing special. Main complaint for me was that the tuna tartare was basic and icy in the middle. Felt like a waste of a meal slot.

Yelp
Impronta Cafe was a wonderful experience for dinner! The service was excellent; the waitress was able to recommend a stellar bottle of wine for our meal. The food was delicious, too! Finishing with the tiramisu completed our evening. We sincerely enjoyed our time and would recommend!

Yelp
The service, the ambiance and the cuisine are top notch. Every course was beautifully presented and catered to my gluten allergy. It was our favorite meal in Venice. We are international foodies and believe this spot scores high on a restaurant rubric.

Laura M.

Yelp
The absolute BEST lunch we had in Venice. We were not sure what wine to order with lunch and our waiter helped us choose by allowing us to taste 4 different kinds. It was a real treat to eat here

Yelp
Came here for dinner after a long day of walking around Venice and Murano. We ordered the preserved cod purée, red onion gelato on polenta for a starter ( sorry no picture), pork chop and polenta and the sliced beef with Parmesan and arugala. The food was really good. The service was friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant. We came because we were looking for gluten free options for my spouse.

Yelp
I had the ravioli and also tried the gnocchi. It was very good. Some of the best pasta I've had in Italy. The restraint was very nice and romantic. The waiter was very nice and funny overall I really loved this place and there was also some cool glassware. The dessert was perfect we had a crepe with ice cream on it and the pudding. Both were amazing very creamy ice cream with a delicious fruit filled crepe. And the pudding was amazing.

Yelp
It is indeed a hidden jewel in Venice. We were tired of a long trip, just want to find something near the hotel to eat. Search up yelp and found raving reviews about it. So we just went and try. The lady was no nice. We did not have a booking, but let us in. It is contemporary Italian food, but after so many traditional food. It was so great to have something different. The food is soooo good, and the tiramisu is just heavenly

Yelp
Loved this small restaurant! Don't let the name deter you - it is a restaurant not a cafe. It's a nice break to enter a contemporary spot after days of authentic Venice. Service was prompt and friendly (enough) and the food was delicious, creative and beautifully plated. Two of us had the ravioli with raisins and pesto (based on another Yelp review), a third had the orange gnocchi with duck ragout, and the fourth had the steak tartar. We were all very happy with our selections. Three of us had aperol spritzes, and the fourth had two glasses of wine. The check was very reasonable, and it was a worthwhile choice. This area is out of the way, but worth the trip.

Yelp
After spending the day walking around Venice, my husband and I wanted a nice sit down meal that was reasonably priced with delicious food. This spot came up on Yelp; however we were a bit concerned since it had cafe in the name. Our concern was unfounded and this was one of our favorite meals in Italy! This spot takes reservations and although we did not have one, we waited about 15 minutes at 8:00 pm and were seated. They have an English menu (along with some other languages as well). We started with the assorted meats and cheeses. This was a great start to the meal! We ordered each a primi and secundi which proved to be way too much food. Next time, one primi each and one secundi is the way to go unless you are very hungry. The basil and pine nut ravioli was our favorite primi. Smaller portion compared to other primis, but outstanding filling and great sauce. We also ordered the duck gnocchi - more hearty, but the ravioli won our hearts. We each ordered a seafood secundi - Seabass and a seafood stew. Both were beautifully served; however we were so full, we couldn't finish them.. plus we wanted to try their tiramisu. The tiramisu is very well presented and so far, the best I've had! Great dessert option if you're looking to mix it up from gelato.

Yelp
My wife and I are huge foodies, so we set out on an adventure to find a delicious restaurant on our own. Normally we ask hotel staff for good local spots, but I trusted my instincts and Trip Advisor reviews. We were led here to Impronta by the looks and descriptions of all the menu items. We started with the Chefs Mixed Fish Appetizer which had great presentation! About 4 out of 6 samples were very tasty, and 2 we didn't care for. For entrees I got the Black Noodles with Seafood in Tomato Sauce which I loved! And my wife had the Duck Leg with Seasonal Purée and Violet Potato Chips, also delish but much more rich than a savory dish. The wait staff was very polite and made sure they checked on is to see if everything was going well. I'm a little upset I didn't get to try the Suckling Pig dish, sounds so good and right up my alley! The place is a bit small inside and unassuming, but give it a shot! I don't think you will regret it if you're into lots of flavors. Cheers, happy dining!

Yelp
Out of all 5 cities we visited on our trip to Italy, this was far and away our best meal we had! Everything we had was absolutely perfect and mind blowing, from the caprese salad to the steak tartare to the tarimisu it was all our favorite! Service was great as well - a hidden gem in the magical pathways of Venice!

Yelp
Hidden gem!! Wow... walking down narrow 'street' on way to Ca'Rezzonico and found this --very impressive! Reasonable prices and impeccable service. Food was delicious and served hot and quicker Breakfast Special of eggs, bacon, salad and toast, plus Fresh OJ and an expressofor only $10E !

Yelp
As a self-proclaimed seafood hater, I was nervous about coming to Venice, a seafood haven. However, Impronta has unbelievably quality seafood. In addition, the ravioli and spaghetti seafood carbonara blew me away, such rich flavors with pine nuts and well down shrimp. Lastly, the dessert was IMPECCABLE. My travel partners got the tiramisu and the coffee taste was a perfect ratio for the dessert. Lastly, I got the dessert of the day, pistachio mascarpone on a cookie with strawberry sauce; see photo attached. I will have dreams of this dessert from this day forward. Unbelievable. Out of this world. Can't stop raving about it. My travel partners are already tired of hearing about it. Overall, great place for vegetarians or those weary of seafood. Very English friendly as well. Dessert, well you already know how I feel about it.

Yelp
I must first say this: The absolute BEST TIRAMISU we had during our entire 10-day trip to Italy was at Impronta Cafe! Now for the rest of my review ... We ate at Impronta Cafe because I read great reviews online before our trip and also because our hotel (Palazzo Odoni) recommended it. Our dinner was delicious. My husband ate the rigatoni with ham, and I ate the chef's special: a tricolor gnocchi with three different types of fish tartare on top. The server also told me the sequence in which to eat the three pastas. Cool! I loved sampling all three and exploring the differences in the flavors among the gnocchi. The pesto was my favorite. We split a bottle of local Venezia wine with dinner, and it was lovely. And of course, the greatest tiramisu of our whole trip. Impronta Cafe added a dollop of coffee-flavored gelato on top! Impronta Cafe gets two thumbs up and a very special place in my memory because of my favorite dessert during my entire Italy vacation. :-)

Michelle W.

Yelp
Highly recommend this place. They have an English and Italian menu and some of the servers speak English. The customer service was really great. For an appetizer we got the assorted cheeses. For dinner we got the spaghetti carbonara and the pesto ravioli and they were both delicious. We also got a bottle of wine and sparkling water. I think our total was about 70euro. The atmosphere is nice and there are big windows so you can watch people walking by.

Yelp
The pastas are definitely their strong point. The grilled chicken was cooked okay but lacked any flavor. A dash of spices would have done the trick. It is a moderately trendy restaurant but still has a casual ambiance. Prices were very reasonable and service was good. House red/white wines are very cheap and tasty. Sauté of mussels and clams with cherry tomatoes and bread toast Spaghetti with fresh tomato sauce and basil Tagliatelle with pesto Grilled chicken breast with roasted potatoes
google avatar

Yelp
This was my last dinner in town and so unexpected. Started with a spritz and stuck with unique seafood. Appetiser of cod and creamy polenta matched with an onion sorbet topped with lardo all of these on blinis. My pasta was on the chef menu. Ravioli carbonara with a shellfish tartare. If i could i would come back so i can try other items on the menu.

Klu K.

Yelp
4.5 stars, actually. Fabulous pasta and mozzarella. Sufficient service. Went for a 1pm res, and they took us at 12:30. Would def go again, with pleasure!

Yelp
Phenomenal presentation to every single dish on the menu! Very fresh and tasty food! It's off the beaten path and away from the tourist traps! Great place... get comfortable here!

Yelp
Found this wonderful place while lost, exploring the beautiful island of Venice, we were hot and hungry and took a chance that they had a table fo us to rest and fill up. We were able to score a table if we were able to be out within 2 hours, which we assured them we could be. Table was given and we were given ample time to review menu and order, we shared a buffalo motz, appetizer and then both ordered a carbanara dish mine clasic his with seafood. I had an amazing drink after asking for the drink menu and as I people watched like I do everywhere everyone was enjoying their food. It was nice to see the wonderfully plated meals be delivered to their tables; I think we were lucky to be able to catch a seat here and would most likely seek out this place should we return to the area it was that good and the staff was wonderful yet still give you your space, gotta love European wait staff :)
google avatar

Cyndy K.

Yelp
Cyndy's Bottom Line: Creative delicious renditions working with traditional ingredients. The service was excellent and very attentive. Great ambiance and I loved the big windows to look out and people watch.
google avatar

Derek S.

Yelp
This was by far the best meal we had in Venice. Service was excellent and friendly. The mussels and clams starter was excellent. Large enough for a meal in itself. The buffaloes milk and raw ham is a tower of caprese salad-- wonderful. The shrimp amatriciana and the carbonara were equally fabulous. Get a reservation and enjoy!
google avatar

Yelp
I'm disappointed to say that this but, was by far the worst food that I had while in Italy. First off, this place LOOKS amazing, hip and fun interior - nice little touches all around. Now, the service wasn't bad, but I cannot say that we felt like our server was at all excited about serving us...which is a shame because we're the type of american who do tip even though it's not needed. Now the food, I cannot say that the food was made in correctly or that it wasn't "up to snuff" in a sense of the culinary world, however - I personally did not care for it at all. I personally do not care for spaghetti with the raw or "tartare" meat on the bottom. If you're a particular eater, go for the cheese platter which was not bad - and get a peach Bellini.

Xingyi Y.

Yelp
Delicate and tasty. Not too expensive. Recommend the 4 raw fishes starter, it's artistic with 4 kinds of sauce. Pork, Ravioli is also good. Really enjoyed our meal.

Cora A.

Yelp
The food was absolutely divine. Best meal we've had in Italy so far. On a side note, we had called to make a reservation, but had a communication mix up and they forgot about it, but they were more than welcome and seated us almost immediately even with a full house.
google avatar

Shani H.

Yelp
We had a long lingering lunch, enjoying a platter of meats and cheeses, plus two courses each, skipping dessert because simply there was no room for it. The waitress recommended a gorgeous bottle of wine to accompany our meal. The service was impeccable, the food delicious, the ambience lovely with a quiet hum from both tourists and locals and a big glass window at the front enabled diners to people watch and admire a typical Venice scene of narrow passage and a bridge. We arrived when it was busy and were one of the last to leave. Highly recommended.
google avatar

Stephen D.

Yelp
This was our last meal in Venice, before we went back home to our sad lives not in a town filled with enchanting canals and delicious food. I remember the beef tar tare was the standout of the night. The menu is so creative and just wacky enough without deterring people from trying new things. Our server was really helpful and the beer/wine selection was really great too! I would dine away from the door and away from large parties, it could get really loud.

Yelp
Wonderful little restaurant over in Dorsoduro, a nice stroll away from the chaotic, overpriced San Marco tourist trash places you'll find. Some genuine local food, with people who actually speak Italian! The cuttlefish ink spaghetti was excellent, felt homemade, and tasted delicious. The gnocchi with duck ragu was also wonderful, super soft melt-in-your-mouth gnocchi. Portions weren't very large, everyone in the restaurant seemed to have polished off their plates, but you won't leave very hungry. Drank a beer and a campari spritz. Waiter spoke several Languages which was nice.
google avatar

Ian L.

Yelp
A solid 4 stars. We had a table for five by the street. It's amazing being able to look out and watch people go by. The dishes were very well presented and executed. Veal cartilage was excellent, soured onions and chickpea puree complementing the stringy cartlilage. Rabbit was a little salty and I just did not like it all that much. Tasted a little like overpriced ham. Swordfish (fish of day) was juicy and tasty. So fresh and nothing could have been better. Codfish with favala beans was grilled excellently, a very unique combination. Seabass was seared well and very fresh, we'll balanced and simple flavors. Roast Suckling pig did not have crackle in skin, disappointing. Flavor was good though. Dessert - I was too full. Nonetheless it was good chocolate and the brother devoured it.

Bill R.

Yelp
Great place off the beaten path. Recommended by Fodors and turned out to live up to the recommendation. We started with a salad - yes they do let you eat out of order!- which is a "compose" it yourself, then the mussel and clams soup, then fried squid, shrimp and vegetable. All was different and very good except the fried veggies. Too much breading. Salad was very fresh! Service was great, had some Sauv Blanc by the glass that was very good and cheap - £3.5 - but still typical Venice small pour. Atmosphere great, sit inside but can watch all the folks walk past -and did I say great service? Highly recommended. Make your way here - fun to walk outside the usual tourist area too!
google avatar

Yelp
We were in Venice for two months and this was a favorite. The bacala mantecato preparation was the best we found. Their salads are terrific, as is the chicken schnitzel. Very congenial and attentive service.
google avatar

Zhou Q.

Yelp
Food is good, staffs are friendly, no problem for non-Italian speaker, they were willing to split the plates for 2 person to share, chef special appetizer is awesome
google avatar

Lisa S.

Yelp
Grilled octopus my heart does sing!!!! Perfectly prepared tender with ricotta, pesto pumpkin and a veggie I don't know. The black pasta with seafood was also good as was the wine 2.50 euro. They had only an hour for us to eat before a reservation and it worked!
google avatar

Natasha H.

Yelp
Was here tonight and ordered the roast pig with green apples. It was good but nothing extraordinary. The beer we ordered tasted plain and the bottle said best served by 5/29/14, which was 4 months ago. They did provided good customer service and took it off our bill when we found out, which was nice if not expected. Apparently a whole shipment of expired beer was received at the restaurant and the owner did not know.

Sue Z.

Yelp
Best dinner we had in Venice. Staff was attentive and professional. Our group chose four different 1st courses and all were equally superb. Ricotta ravioli with pesto was very light and delicate. spaghetti with clams had tender baby clams. Both spaghetti carbonara and gnocchi with duck Ragu were rich and flavorful with being too heavy. 2nd courses had generous portions, enough to share. Leave room for dessert! Recommend reservations, they were busy.
google avatar

Ted S.

Yelp
Our best meal in Venice! Beef tar tar was delicious. Thanks Stephen D. Even the less adventurous eaters loved it. A bit more pricey than other $$ places we tried, but much better. Staff was knowledge and helpful. Unlike like other restaurants, no sales gimmicks or pressure to order food we did not want. Great presentation. Apparent the chef took pride in the food, not in taking your money. One of the few joints without an employee out front trying to lure you in.

Iman N.

Yelp
Food was horrible the carbonara was way too salty and the ravioli was inedible. They sell cheap $8 wine for $25 euro. Food looks good in pictures but doesn't taste good at all.

Yelp
This was one of our nicer meals in Venice... we liked the modern casual feel of this restaurant, all the wait staff were very courteous and nice during our visit. We shared the mixed fish appetizer which was visually stunning and fun to eat. So it was off to a good start. we also had the primi course, Drew had the orange potato gnocchi w/duck ragu and spinach smoothie base.... really tasty but the gnocchi are so small I kinda prefer them a little larger personally... I had the clams and spaghetti and they were perfectly cooked with the right amount of seasoning and portion.. I was very happy to try these since I've never had them before and wanted to try them while in Venice. I had the fish of the day which I think was seabass that night served with vegetables but they put it in a broth too ... I didn't really want that but it was good... I'm just not a seafood soup kind of person and was a little disappointed with my choice but it still tasted good. Drew had the seabream stew (he like fish with soups) and he thought he could have ordered better as well...It almost looked like the same vegetables and broth as mine but his had maybe a bit more tomato... if you like this kind of thing you should get it... Drew said it was ok... I think if we were there for a longer period of time we would go back and try different mains but we really enjoyed the evening here. Great modern food, priced for what its worth, and I can recommend it to others no problem. I think they are doing a wonderful job bringing modern twists to the regional choices. I'd also like to try for lunch as well.
