In-N-Out Burger

This was my first time trying In-N-Out and my expectations were pretty high. The restaurant was very clean and the service was impeccable- far and away the most friendly cashier I've experienced in LA. Then the food arrived... I got an animal style burger combo. The burger was completely bland. The only good flavor that I could decern was the grilled onion and sauce in one decent bite. My fries were inedible. I'm not even sure how to get potatoes to that consistency.

"I placed an order and was told it would take 17 minutes, as they had many orders. However, it took 45 minutes for my order to be ready. They gave me a strawberry shake first, which was completely melted and undrinkable. I also brought a hot item with me, but the first order they gave me had gone cold. The manager and staff seemed to be just trying to get through the work, and they clearly didn't know what they were doing. I never want to go to this location again. They were rude and didn't even know how to apologize."

This location was busy, but which location isn't. The food was fresh and delicious. In N Out has some the best pink lemonade. Great service and food.

In-N-Out burger is a very consistent experience no matter what location you go to with some minor differences in service or cleanliness/safety. The food at this location is just as good as you remember with delicious burgers, fries that need extra salt and affordable prices. Service here was good, but parking and the location can be a bit challenging and while it felt safe inside I was slightly worried about my car outside. Overall another yummy In-N-Out trip!

We stopped here around 11:30 p.m. went to the restroom 1st before ordering and we should have just left at that point but it's In n Out. I didn't have my phone on me but there was toilet paper all over the floor the trash was over flowing with used paper towels it definitely was not checked in hours. After a small wait we received our 4 combos but the 2 double doubles, cheeseburger AND hamburger were served to us with burnt buns. An employee offered to re-make the burger and it was much better it looked like an in n out burger should look like. He seemed nice and apologetic about it. I appreciated that from him. For the duration of our time there, the trash from the dinning area were overflowing.

Food was wonderful, employees seemed extra busy but did very well given how full the store and drive through were! Was impressive really. Only complaint I truly had was I was wishful for ranch and didn't know it wasn't served there. But I lived without it!! They're parking lot though is fairly hard to get into with a van or truck, we had a van and Def had some problems with parking initially, and getting back out of the parking spot. Some car spots were double parked even which I don't often see, for those extra compact cars.

In-N-Out is the only fast food burger I’ll touch—and honestly, I don’t even think of it as fast food in the usual sense. It’s in a category of its own. The burgers are just consistently good, every single time. Nothing fancy, nothing overhyped, just solid ingredients done right. I keep it simple: a regular burger, fries, sometimes a shake if I’m feeling it. No secret menu gymnastics or 17 modifications. Just the basics, and it never misses. What really stands out—besides the taste—is how insanely well-run the place is. The system is airtight. Even when the line looks like an amusement park ride, it moves. You’ll wait, sure, but not in that frustrated, “why is this taking forever?” kind of way. The staff is always sharp, friendly, and hustling. It’s kind of impressive how smooth the whole operation runs considering how busy they always are. Everything is fresh, never frozen, and it shows. The fries are hand-cut, the shakes are real-deal ice cream, and the burger just hits that perfect balance of flavor, texture, and nostalgia. It’s one of the few places that lives up to its own legend. Five stars, easy.

you guys cant get it right. NOHO gets its right. Hollywood gets it right, YOU, Studio City....you dont follow directions. animal fries no onion... ONIONS on it. plain burger for a child, no cheese. you put cheese on and scraped it off so there's still cheese on it. AND the foods cold, AND your line is slow af. AND you made the regular lemonade the med and the light LARGE....we ordered opposite. who's unhappy and messing up orders? because there's no way this is accidental. get it together! the economy is too bad too waste money on this CARELESS ill intentioned ish.

This In-N-Out Burger, like all iNoBs, always has a line of cars winding through the drive thru, out of the parking lot and down the block. This location, also like all iNoBs, has amazing staff working the drive thru. Uniformed and friendly, one thing you can always rely on is your order being right at In-N-Out. I've legit never had a mistake on an order going through the Drive Thru! Such sorcery! Must get In-N-Out items: *~a shake, I like chocolate but I hear Neo is great as long as you like strawberries. cheapest shake this side of the mississippi. *now with the fries, get the animal style if you want that experience and well done. it's what everyone recommends so you prob want to give this a go. i like the basic cheese fries, but they aren't really anything special. unlike the... *~doubledouble! get whatever you want on it that'll optimize your experience but i will strongly recommend AGAINST getting the burger animal style. i like a double double with no pickles or onions, but extra spread....protein style if im being healthy *eyeroll*. secret sarah fact : i own in-n-out doubledouble leggings.

I will always say ahead of time when I am reviewing a chain that has a very standardize menu that I am gonna be reviewing, mostly the location and the staff and noting anything that is a detour from the standard experience. As per usual everything here was clean staff was friendly and helpful, and everything was rushed and hectic as you know in and out to be. No, I'm not saying out the world best burger I am saying In-N-Out double double is the world's best five dollar burger. I mean these days you can go get a whopper or a big Mac and spend more than this. So all those people saying oh it's not worth the it really is when you break down the burger to dollar value. The one thing I will warn is that this place does not have parking that is very helpful. Normally in and out knows better and has crazy parking all around and overflowing surrounding businesses, but this one was not that case.

On 8.10.2024... I nearly turned into a Pumpkin while sitting inside of In-N-Out located at 3640 Cahuenga Blvd. ----Let me explain---- Earlier that evening, my wife and I went to the Kia Forum to see Alanis Morissette perform at her sold out Triple Moon Tour. It. Was. EPIC. On our way home from... INGLEWOOOOOD, What! What! We decided a little late night snack was just what we needed. Our kids were home safe, already in bed, so adding 30 or so more minutes to our ETA home was ok by Grandma! So we made the quick decision to pull off the freeway, made a quick left, followed by another quick left, straight into the In-N-Out burger parking lot. I mean, it's was a Saturday night a little after 11p.m., how busy could it possibly be?? For half a second... I forgot we were at In-N-Out lol The parking lot was slammed... The drive-thru was SLAMMED.... But we had already committed, there was no turning back! No, Literally, I couldn't get out of the parking lot haha. Again, I forgot for half of a second where we were... Then I remembered, It's In-N-Out, it's always worth the wait! So I circled the lot, then again and then just like that "ohhh, someone's pulling out!" (Tires Screech) And... we got a parking spot!! We made our way in, joined the other late night L.A. party people & I decided right. then. &. there. that I was getting a Double Double and NOBODY was gonna stop me! My wife was like, "Are you really gonna get a double-double this late? Your stomach is going to hate you later." Did you not just hear what I said? I said NOBODY! Haha, =) (Don't worry, I didn't speak to my wife with this tone, or attitude... she's scary, haha) So about 15 minutes later, our number was finally called and I went up to the counter to retrieve our order which included my sad, lonely looking single cheeseburger... Whomp. Whomp. Whomp. Sike!! I ordered my double-double baby! (See pic below if you don't believe me). I said NOBODY!!! Hahahahaha Alright, enough of me being silly! So per usual, In-N-Out was UhhMAZINGGGG!!! Cooked Fresh... Made to Order... Delicious... And the perfect late night snack!! So as we were sitting there, eating, minding our own business; I looked at my watch, saw it was 11:51 p.m. and was like, "crap it's almost Midnight, we gotta go!" I've seen Cinderella one, too many times with my kids, I certainly don't want to be out past Midnight and turn into a pumpkin! ;) So we finished up, made our way back to the car and started our trek home. As we were passing through Calabasas (which just happens to mean pumpkin in Spanish).... Coincidence? You'll never know ;) My stomach started.... Ah forget it! Wife 1 Me 0 Before we go, Sing it with me... In-N-Out, that's what a hamburger, is all about!

Order was completely wrong. I basically paid more to get a basic burger. I only ordered 1 thing. Why can't you guys get it right? This isn't the first time either. Just the first time writing a review. Pretty sad losing faith in you guys.

Came here yesterday for a good old double double made animal style and small fries. The food was Soo good. As you can see from the picture! The wait was a bit long as per usual but well worth it. Great service the staff is always friendly and on point! I will be back soon

I know I'm gonna get a lot of grief for this but I don't get the hype. Now don't get me wrong this place is miles better than bk or McDonald's or anything like them. I really loved the grilled onions and the sauce was good too. The burger itself was nothing special and the shake again nothing famous about it. It was a perfectly good fast food burger no more no less. That said I loved the energy of the place and the old school bright red and white was fun. This location was absolutely packed even at 11 at night both inside and outside. Prices were fantastic and they have parking and a drive through! I'd definitely try it again if I'm ever near another in and out!

Fast service through the line but messed up one of our burgers but making it animal style so that person wasn't able to eat their food.

Location is off the highway so it's easy to get a burger during the commute. But the parking lot is not the best and sometimes you will need to park on the street. So drive thru is the second best option. But I feel at times the drive thru moves slower compared to ordering inside. Service is okay and at times inside is messy.

Not sure why I'm writing a review, since it won't put a dent in the business, but the lines here are so long. It's 8 PM on a Wednesday, and I've already been waiting for 15 minutes.

Closing at 1 when you're open till 1:30 is the same type of shit that has all the other restaurants closing for good. Do t think you're too good to go out of business.

I work near here and stop in once or twice a month. Great food and the freshest ingredients in fast food dining. This location seems to be slammed constantly, but the staff is always able to handle the castrophany with aplomb professionalism and enthusiasm. Whenever you have an employee's attention, you have their full attention even if there are ten other things going on. The employees at this location are truly stellar and deserve the highest of accolades.

[Review #737] 2023-023 Food Order: 2 CHEESEBURGERS (extra lettuce & tomatoes, grilled onions, add pickles), CHEESEBURGER (no spread), FRIES, STRAWBERRY MILKSHAKE Cashier: Chase We spent the day at Universal Studios with the kids & arrived at the parking garage before the park opened to catch the Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge preview. It was just after lunch rush when the kids were finally ready to eat, but didn't find anything onsite that appealed to their hangryness & left to eat at In & Out, located just under 1-mi. SW of the park. The timing was linner (3:00 PM) so it wasn't as crowded, there was only 1 person ahead of us & 3 groups waiting to pick-up their order. Our cashier looked like a high schooler; he greeted us warmly & gave my kids a set of stickers to keep them occupied. =) Our order came quickly, & I liked the consistency of this burger joint: menu & its prices, food execution, & service. Everyone scarfed down their burger... that's hot, fresh, & juicy! The fries were crisp but slightly heavy handed on the salt, otherwise, it's great. The strawberry milkshake was thick, rich, & creamy, especially refreshing on a warm spring day. The dining room is smaller than my local In & Out in terms of seating, there's a lot of "open" space that could be used for seating. While the tables were free of debris, they could use a wipe down. The soda fountain area is well-stocked & clean, & the dispenser is a touchless system. This is my 1st time seeing this... very forward thinking to improve the sanitary quality of dining out. However, the unisex restrooms, while clean, had a funky smell. While I'm not likely to be a regular at the Universal City/Los Angeles location, if we're here at USH & need something satisfying, tasty, & budget-friendly, this In & Out is definitely a stop! Recommended: Cheeseburgers, Fries, Strawberry Milkshake; pretty much everything on their menu & secret menu... you can't go wrong.

This In-N-Out location is my go-to. Consistently good service and food. The drive thru line moves efficiently compared others in LA. However, parking can be tough if you're planning on dining in.

I've come to this location for years and have always been treated with great customer service and food is always prepared tasty. I prefer coming here (instead of Lankershim) for the drive thru because they manage the flow of traffic a lot more efficiently. You're for real going In-N-Out lol. Parking can be tight but lots available. I feel bad for guests and especially employees because they constantly have to deal with the homeless population disrupting the peace. So y'all better be prepared for those type of people and watch over your table! Im giving them 3 stars today because I just am so dumbfounded by seeing their drink station during today's visit like chills are running through my skin. Image attached below: a bug visibly just chilling in there for who knows how long. Ugh i really like this location overall! Just wish things were tidier in terms with stations, bathrooms, and the floor.

Love the double- double and the Flying Dutchman the milkshakes are so good good when ever I take my kids and they order the milkshake even though there lactose intolerant.

Hallelujah it's the In & Out sign, and that means it's burger time for Frank and I'm excited. The In & Out Theme is in my head and I'm bobbing my head side to side just thinking of the best burger in SoCal. So I've now pulled in and walked to the counter for the order of the day. The # 1 is the Double Double with fries & drink and more order goes in with no hesitation. I eagerly await my red tray filled with a scrumptious Double Double. I waft the fumes of this delicacy to savor the moment and like always I'm in burger bliss. My experiences I love about In & Out is the Uber clean environment and nice clean cut workers. It's like The Osmond Family flipping burgers, all smiles and just happy to be helping you. Plus the food is exceptional every single time I come into this location. Now I'm gonna eat Vs chat!

When I'm Cali, In-and-Out always makes it's way onto the itinerary! It's a short walk from the hotels near Universal (giant hill on your way back). It can definitely get busy here. If burgers are you thing, I recommend ordering the Double-Double. Otherwise, you just get a really thin patty. For the burgers and fries, make sure to get animal stye! If it's your first time trying animal style, you can ask for it in the side. Their shakes are pretty good too. It can get crowded inside with people dining in and others waiting for food. If you want some space, you can wait at their outdoor seating. They have a speaker outside to announce order numbers.

Best In N Out location, burgers are always hot of the grill. Workers are always hard working. I get the 3 by 3 well done no onions, with animal fries no onions.

Service was slow but polite Messed up order Shake machine down so food was cold as they figured it out Fries were very stale if that's possible and cold. Disappointing.

This place needs some serious food quality training. Or, it should be shut down. The food is just never ever right. Burgers aren't seasoned properly, veggies are always wilted and mushy, and the fries are overcooked. I recently went to another location in the OC, and it was phenomenal. Everything was crisp and fresh. If I'm really being honest, all of the Valley locations really need an overhaul.

Closest In-N-Out to Universal Studios Hollywood. Drive thru lines are long, but you can park and order inside with ease. Pros: -it was raining the day I visited. It was nice to see that they had a sign up that offered kids free hot cocoa when it was raining. I love that! -burgers are great as usual Cons: -n/a You need to ask for things like lids and straws.

My wife and I enjoy coming In-N-out Burger for many years for the fresh and made to order burgers,fries and especially their milk shakes made from real ice cream. They use high quality ingredients in their burgers,fries and shakes. We always go to different In-N-Out Buger in different area especially this one close by Universal Studios. After visiting Universal Studio we often come to In-N-Burger.

Still my favorite burger spot in LA. Clean, fast and fresh. This location is a little less busy than Hollywood and it's worth the extra 10 minute drive.

Had a pretty bad customer service experience tonight which is surprising for In N Out tbh. My boyfriend picked me up food on his way home from a 10 hour shift because this location is right on the way home from work and super close to us. I hardly ever make bad reviews because I'd really just rather not. But apparently the guy at the drive thru tonight was like really rude and hostile. I guess asking for spread and chilis was a lot to ask for from that guy and he told my boyfriend that he "should've told him sooner because now I'm in the middle of doing something." Even though he tried catching his attention multiple times. The worker went "well I couldn't hear you." Then handed my bf the sauces all crumpled up, and motioned at my boyfriend to grab them, very irritated. It also seemed that that same guy wasn't being very nice to his coworkers either. Like huh???? LOL I get customer service can suck sometimes, I really do but like cmon bud. We work customer service too, even talking minimally because you're having a bad day or tired is really totally fine. It's nothing personal but maybe try not doing that?

Horrible customer service!!! They messed up my entire order, didn't even offer to remake it. I stood there for 5 minutes to speak to someone and no one approached me. Ended up ordering a second cheese fries and they proceeded to put a small piece of cheese on the right side of the basket. A whole mess!! Everyone here should get fired. Never returning. Impossible to find parking too

Stopped for a quick lunch. Lance took my order, 1 Double Hamburger and 1 Double Cheese burger 2 French fries and 2- Soft-drinks. Only, a few minutes after I remembered that the Double Hamburger was meant to be ordered Protein Style. Lance was kind enough to help me Correct my mistake. Fabulous Service, Delicious Burgers & Fries (not overly salted). Thank You All! We enjoyed lunch.

The young girl who took my order outside had no patience for me ordering my burger that i forgot to ask for no cheese. She had this rude demeanor like she didnt care about doing her job. If she wants to hear someone better come to the driver side of the window not the passenger side. The lady who gave me my order from the window had this weird energy to her. Im not coming back to this in n out. Only the guy that took my payment was cool and nice. go to another in n out this one sucks. Im not even happy with my food.

Interesting location. Next to the meca of entertainment and multi-million dollar homes yet it attracts homeless and drug addicts. The people are nice every time I come here but most of these restaurants the employees are. This place is super busy as it attracts a lot of out-of-towners (Universal Studios right up the street. The place is always clean but the only issue is the size of the building. There are only about a 1/3 of the seating as most other in and out's. So claiming a seat is essential. They have a couple outside tables but very few. The drive through line spans out to the Main Street which is a very busy street. Overall a decent place.

Fast and friendly service. There aren't enough parking spaces in the lot. There are plenty of meter parking spaces on the street.

My goto fast food joint. Friendly staff, delicious and they get my order correct most of the time. One time they forgot napkins but thats ok, I have sleeves for a reason. Drive thru line is almost always long but moves very quickly.

The service was really good jesus gave me a lot of respect and gave me everything i requested, overall a really cool guy. Everyone here is really nice recommend coming here if your near by. Most likely they will never get your order wrong.

It's a great place to stop and great place to get your animal fries I enjoy having grilled onions and raw onions in my double double the customer service is excellent and that's what I enjoy being treated right so you can be a repeat customer

I have been to this location multiple times. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to find another spot. The burgers are kinda slimy, the lettuce and onions are wilted, and the fries always seem to be stale and cold. There was a short stint when the food was really good, so I know that this In-N-Out can do better. I wish they would.

Hubby and I stopped in for a late lunch after flying into LAX. Due to COVID, they were only offering drive thru and take out. We did drive thru and chose the car dining option which is served in an open box. The line moved quickly and the service was great. Hubby and I both ordered a double, double with no tomato. We also shared animal style fries. Everything was super fresh and extremely tasty! Their burgers are so juicy but not greasy. The fries were delicious with the animal sauce and cheese sauce. The grilled onions on the fries = perfection! Overall, a great experience at In-N-Out!

We usually come to get some burgers after watching movies at the AMC city walk . Tonight the weather is freezing and can't stop feeling bad for this young girl taking orders outside . I wish she was wearing warm gloves and a better jacket .

Consistently perfect every time. I have never had any issues, EVER! My order is always correct, the staff are wonderfully pleasant, and my food comes out piping hot!! The line may be a bit long sometimes, but the food, staff, and overall quality of the experience makes it worth it. This particular location is top notch! Keep it up Cahuenga location!

Even though the lines can get pretty long (especially during peak meal times), they go fairly fast. I've gotten dinner during their busy times and I was "In and Out" within 30 minutes or less.

This is our local in n out. We always do drive thru but on 2 different occasions they forgot an order of fries and didn't notice until we got home! So frustrating.

Their location is a blessing and a curse, right off the freeway for easy access, but that means it's always over-run (as are most locations). You can still order inside, but there's no seating currently during Covid-crap and there are 3 tables outside if you can get one. They did let 3 people order who just pulled up their shirts over their faces order, but told 3 others to without masks to leave. No one caused a scene at least. Staff is always super happy and professional to deal with no matter the location.

Good food, service, eating area and employees. Will definitely be going back for more.

I live 5 min from here so I used to come very often. The last 5 times I've came and ordered animal style fries, they're literally cold, the cheese isn't even melted. I order a cheeseburger, it's cold as if it's been sitting there for at least 10 min. Today has by far been the worst experience at in n out. In the middle of a rush hour where there's 50 cars lined up and we get stale, cold food at a FAST FOOD restaurant. Extremely disappointed.

great customer service, clean tables, and the best burgers in la. this location is very consistent with their quality for their food. if you are in the area, definitely try it out.

This used to be my favorite In-N-Out. Let me start by saying I haven't been here in a while so I am completely shook after my last visit this past Saturday night. Though it pains me to relive this visit, I'll walk you through it so you can avoid this 1/10 experience. It was a warm summer night. I had just left a party and was craving a cheeseburger to finish the evening on a high note. Little did I know... Strike one was an employee was parked in the extremely busy lot where we circled to find a spot. After a couple of loops, we snagged a spot. We waited in line and I laid my eyes on an employee wearing legit the dirtiest In-N-Out shirt I've ever seen. It was as though he had been playing on a muddy slip n slide all night. It was not your usual pristine nostalgic uniform you are used to seeing. Anyway, we were summoned by the most unfriendly In-N-Out employee I have ever interacted with. Not even one crack of a smile. I am almost certain he didn't even say hi. He absolutely did not have an ounce of joy in his body. We even tried to be nice and break the emotional wall he had up to no avail. He was annoyed when he repeated the order and it was incorrect. This was strike two. Here's where it gets ugly. The placed looked like it had been ransacked during an apocalypse. There were no napkins, the floor was covered with food and sticky substances- I can't make this shit up. As we waited for our order not one person was on the floor cleaning up tables or replenishing anything. For god sake, even the pink lemonade was out. Like, how is that even possible!? At one point a man came to the front and said very loudly that there was no toilet paper and he had to use his hand to wipe and asked an employee for napkins. I am 100% serious. I'm laughing now, but seriously at this point I was wondering if this was where the next deadly virus was being born due to the unsanitary conditions of this location. I'm sure I'm at strike 4 or 5 now but the final straw was that they didn't even toast our buns..I came out of it unscathed but I vow to never revisit my once favorite location ever again.

Never been disappointed by In-N-Out in my life until today. Ordered a double double burger, lemonade and 2 fries. The wait was long but expected. Unfortunately when I came home, they only gave me 1 order of fries even though I paid for 2. It also didn't help that the fries were over cooked and crunchy. They were not good at all. There was also a weird potato clump in my fries too! At least the lemonade was fine. But where is the quality and consistency we all know and love? This location is close by but I'll drive further for better service and food from a different In-N-Out.

I like this in-n-out location. It's convenient by the freeway and seems to go rather quick. The parking lot can be quite crazy, but I think they try to do a good job to manage it. Every time I have come they seem to swift thru the drive-thru line. Ate the heck out of my animal fries in the car all sloppily and a grilled cheese. Can't go wrong with in-n-out ya know? Good bargain fast food novelty.
