The older female receptionist I spoke with — she’s the one I’m referring to. The room is right next to the road, and the noise from the traffic is very loud. The room has no soundproofing at all — I can even hear when the person next door coughs or farts. I asked to change rooms, but she said the whole hotel was fully booked. However, that’s clearly not true because I can see there are only a few rooms occupied. She told me that if I wanted to change, I’d have to pay an extra 19 AUD in cash. However, I checked on Trip.com and saw that the price difference was only 9 AUD. I think that’s not fair. She then said, “Then just put up with it,” because I’m staying for three nights — that’s terrible service. She also made me feel uncomfortable discussing personal matters with her.
