In 't Goede Uur

I came here back on Friday night March 21st and I loved the place. The server was very Nice and I was ordering in Dutch language most of the time. Being from New York, learning the local language makes a huge difference. I had the Cheese Fondue with Salad, Bread, and Vegetables. It tasted amazing when I dipped all of them in. For Dessert, handmade truffles with Dutch coffee. Definitely a perfect night as I was able to walk around Haarlem for a perfect evening.

I found my new favorite place for fondue! I loved everything from food to kind service and we will surely come back another time!

It was the first time that I tried cheese fondue. It was like melted cheese, a different taste for me I liked it. Beside that we ordered meat stew and it was great. If you want to visit a place that reflects Dutch cuisine and ambiance, you should come here.

Tomato fondue all time favorite =) 20220614 Love this place! Fantastic experience again. Took the tomato fondue again, and its literally the best! Very nice cheese fondues! Especially the one with tomato is my fav! When ordering a fondue you get unlimited salad and bread, but for the veggies or potato wedges you will have to pay a small amount for it.

What a cool experience! It was my birthday on October 2 and I wanted to take my husband somewhere fun and original for my birthday as we are new to the city. I felt like we stepped into a whole nother world coming here, the atmosphere was so unique and cozy and it made for such a special night for me. The food was insane and they even brought me a little dessert and sang for my birthday. I can't wait to come back.

I sadly didn’t enjoy this place. I had super high hopes since there’s so many good reviews but it wasn’t the friendly, good food place that was claimed. I came alone as I’m solo traveling and had an awkward time asking for a table despite the whole place being empty. Finally got a table outside and order but then I found a hair in my fondue. The staff replaced it but the next cheese that came out was really really alcoholic. I know that fondue obviously has wine but this was not normal. I felt bad asking for a second replacement so 30€ wasted. Super blue about it

You should definitely try kaas fondue once in your life 😇 and creme brulee is amazingly tastely 🤤🤤

I think the beef stew was one of the best things I’ve ever put in my mouth. The fondue was definitely delicious, but don’t sleep on the stew! Everything was so fresh and you could feel the extremely high quality and home cooking. Potatoes and bread hot out of the oven, for example. Also, a very cute house and friendly atmosphere. Really great service too!

Such a wonderful recommendation when we were in Haarlem. A locals place tucked away in a sweet neighborhood with amazingly delicious fondue. We arrived on a cold and rainy evening and found the friendliness and candlelit warmth the perfect antidote. Reservations strongly recommended, esp on weekends.

What a cool place. We stumbled upon this place when coming back from the theater. I could already smell the cheese from outside. In't Goede Uur is possibly one of the oldest restaurants in Haarlem. It looks really cose and nice inside, little bit like any old cafe you would go to in Belgium. There are small sitting corners downstairs and some tables upstairs. On our first visit there we just had some wine with cheese platter, but we will definitely come back for one of their specialties - cheese fondue. If you ever have a big group joining you for dinner or you would like to organize a family or cooking event you can always rent/ use their other venue/ space (very modern) for that occassion.

This place has a great ambiance, cool decor and friendly staff. My only complaint is about the french onion soup I got as an appetizer. It was't the best and it had lack of cheese giving the place is famous for its cheese. The fondue was very very good! I didnt like the one with vine I guess because I hate vine but the one with the tomato sauce was great. I wish they had side dishes but overall it was a great experience, and i would come back for sure. And PS they dont accept credit cards nor big bills so be ready
