Had a great lunch here. I ordered the cured mackerel and duck confit. Both were excellent. I’m usually hesitant to order mackerel because it can have a strong fishy taste, but this one was very meaty and mild while still being kind of fatty tasting. It was really delicious. The duck had very crispy skin and the meat was super tender. I’d definitely recommend a visit.

Inato is, food-wise, a pretty good new spot in Braga but, to me, the staff/service is what let them down. I got in from the street for lunch with no reservation and could be seated, which was nice, but the restaurant was also empty at the time as they had only just opened and it was before typical lunch time for the Portuguese. My experience of the staff was that they seemed to (try to be) too posh for my liking in their attitude and interactions. This especially goes for the head waiter/maitre d’. Just because I came in shorts and a t-shirt with a backpack on, it seems as if I wasn’t as worthy of their time and efforts as other guests, even though I was the only one in the restaurant for the first 30-40 minutes. The head waiter was more concerned with prancing around looking important and tending to minuscule things than to cater to me. I simply didn’t feel like I was given the same care and attention, as I am used to in this level of restaurants, and when other guests arrived, the difference in service was clear. And mind you, I have eaten at quite a lot of Michelin star restaurants and even two 3* (Noma and Geranium), alongside a bunch of other Michelin recommended or other fine dining restaurants. Food is my drug and this trip was, unfortunately, a downer. Anyhow, they got the Bib Gourmand recommendation pretty early on and in terms of the food, I think it was well-deserved. Decent quantity, though there could have been a little more, and some really nice and clean flavours with nothing being overpowering or too dull. The wines were good as well and more than decently priced, as it goes in Portugal. Overall, nice little restaurant with good food from some great chefs, but the waiting staff and the experience they gave me was the big let-down and what makes it so I won’t come back.

We were so fortunate to be able to enjoy a memorable dinner at Inato. We lucked into a table and were so thrilled. Food was magical! Bread service was exceptional. Best focaccia ever! Starters were outstanding especially the oxtail bites and cauliflower tempura. Mains were so memorable: We shared the seafood rice and our son had the steak with truffle risotto. Delicious and flavorful. We ended an outstanding meal with the salty caramel cake and chocolate. Staff was so warm and attentive.

Mandatory pilgrimage to Braga, absolutely delicious. Top notch cuisine and personnel! Come here every year

During a spontaneous stop in Braga, we stumbled upon this hidden gem. The intimate modern decor set the stage for an exceptional dining experience, amplified by the professionalism of the staff. The couvert, featuring a variety of delectable bites, was a prelude to the culinary excellence that awaited us. Personally, I couldn’t get enough of the flavorful focaccia. The duck confit and black pig mains were not only beautifully presented but also distinct and refreshing, showcasing the chef's creativity. The dessert, a salted caramel, mascarpone gelato, and dates masterpiece, was perfectly balanced – my only regret was sharing one with my boyfriend and not ordering one just for myself. Overall, this restaurant stands out as one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in quite a while. I’m already looking forward to returning and extending my heartfelt congratulations to the entire team for creating such a memorable culinary journey. Bravo!

We stumbled into this restaurant in order to dodge the rain. Initially, we were going to have two glasses of wine and leave, but ended up having one of our most enjoyable dinners in Portugal. The service was superb, the food was excellently prepared. If you are in Braga, be sure to stop here!

We had a absolutely fantastic meal here. The service was friendly and attentive. We ordered two portions of hose mackerel for starter because it was so delicious. Highly recommended!
