Inca Rail

The all inclusive package was well worth it. Made it very easy and less stress. The bimodal bus was enjoyable. The train was nice, seats were not the most comfortable but the cultural show was a nice addition and the staff very lovely. Our guide Frank was superb!!! Best ever. We highly recommend.

A cool ride to a cool place. Nobody tells you all you have to do to get to Machu Picchu but I promise your eyes will thank you. Not to mention the tasty vegan restaurant in Aguas Calientes. The rail entertained us with a reenactment of a traditional indigenous love story. They offered drinks and snacks for a purchase. The seats were a bit snug for my taste but the view is visually stimulating. The staff were organized, professional, and friendly.

I have traveled around and had many many tour guides but I can easily say that Rosemary was was the most amazing tour guide I've ever had! Her passion and knowledge for Machu Picchu was incredible. We spend a little over 2 hours on the Circuit 2 route (the best one to book btw since you get the views from the top as well as a tour of the central parts of the site). Rosemary was a wealth of knowledge answering any question in detail and giving us a real insight into this special place. The entire crew at Inca Rail did an amazing job taking care of us the day of our tour. From the early morning pick up at the hotel to ensuring we were always in the right line to get to the site as quickly as possible. I would 100% recommend and book Inca Rail again over any other rail line that does trips out to Machu Picchu

Perfectly fine. It's one of 2 train companies that take you to machu picchu town. The scenery is very pretty. You cannot pick your seats so going there we were facing backwards while returning we were seated forwards. The train ride takes about 1.5 hours, stops along the way for other trains to pass.Snacks available to buy on board. Took the cheapest option the voyager. There is more expensive options. Baggage can be stored under your seat or in the space between the seats behind you. No luggage storage cart or area. On the return trip if you booked the bimodal to cusco they will assign/tell you a bus # to go to when you arrive in ollataytambo ( they will give you a paper with the bus # and # of people to show to the bus/ sprinter driver). That will be the bus that will drive you back to cusco( another 2 to 2.5 hrs). The AC was not on but the air coming through the sprinter windows was fine and it wasn't that hot. The website was easy to follow and book tickets. The train station was modern and lovely. ( premium lounge by the dusty road outside was a joke though). The staff wearing outfits and leading you to the train was a nice touch. All of the staff were nice. You need your passport to check in for the train.The train was modern enough. The seats were fine but a bit narrow and kinda awkward staring at a random person accross from you. Bathroom on board. No wifi on the train, only at the train station. Over all it was good. I don't understand all the bad reviews. Inca rail was perfectly fine.

We went to machu piccu with Inca rail. On the route to Machu piccu we took 360 train, which was quite good. Comfortable, with a wagon without windows and musicians, who plays and songs good but with awful acoustic and so loud that ears start to bleed in 10 mins. But on the way back to Cusco we decided to buy “basic” train, thinking that we will not just have panoramic view. In fact, the train is much worse, without space for both passengers and luggage, I was struggling the whole route. The same with bus, if in “360” tariff it was comfortable, in the “basic” one the bus was awful, also with much less space. And of course it was written nowhere that basic is for Lilliputians, and garbage in general

Super easy to book. Not sure what’s up with all the bad reviews. Gorgeous views too. There was a restroom, a spot to charge my phone and they let me move seats so I wouldn’t get motion sickness. Complimentary tea and delicious cookies 🍪

Lots of bad reviews but my experience on the return train to and from Aguas Calientes was great. The Cusco IncaRail office is modern and has super helpful, English speaking staff. The office in Aguas Calientes has weird opening times (pictured) but were super friendly and let me change my train time last minute, with no fee. The minibus to the train station was new and very comfortable. All ran as expected and on time. My only gripe is I paid over $50usd extra for a panoramic ticket to Aguas Calientes and an economy (voyager) ticket back. The panoramic and voyerager carriages are the same seats, tables and windows. The only difference is panoramic carriage had a balcony at the back and they provide 3 biscuits and a cup of tea or coffee. The balcony had a live band playing and it was lots of fun singing along and dancing in the open air but I don’t think it’s worth the extra money. Otherwise a lovely experience!

Shuttle service from Cusco was awful. There’s very little space in between seats, so you get squeezed by the reclined seat in front of you and kicked by the passenger behind you. They did a 30 min stop in the 2 hours ride from Cusco to Ollantaytambo, making the already long trip from Cusco to Aguas Calientes unnecessarily longer. The train station waiting room is too small and was really crowded. The food on their coffee shop was overpriced. The boarding process was amateurish. A terrible and very expensive experience.
