A great experience. Inca Rail’s flexibility allowed us to spread our experience over multiple days which made for a more relaxed and enjoyable experience. Assistance and recommendations from our guide Carlos helped us to get the most from our time at Machu Picchu and the town. Highly recommend.

What I appreciated most was how the journey itself became part of the experience. Watching the landscape slowly change outside the window felt calm and almost surreal. It added something special to the trip.Clearer boarding guidance could make the experience even better.

The all inclusive package was well worth it. Made it very easy and less stress. The bimodal bus was enjoyable. The train was nice, seats were not the most comfortable but the cultural show was a nice addition and the staff very lovely. Our guide Frank was superb!!! Best ever. We highly recommend.

Our trip to Machu Picchu was truly an unforgettable experience and, without exaggeration, the highlight of our entire journey through Peru. The journey itself was part of the adventure – we enjoyed a comfortable, perfectly organized, and visually breathtaking train ride with InkaRail. The panoramic windows allowed us to admire the stunning Andean landscape throughout the trip, and the onboard service was professional, friendly, and flawless. The overall organization of the trip was top-notch. Everything ran according to plan, with no stress or confusion. Transfers, timing, and communication were all well-handled, so we could fully focus on the experience itself. We also appreciated the staff’s willingness to offer advice and assistance – it was clear that they genuinely cared about ensuring visitors had the best possible experience. What truly made this trip extraordinary, however, was our guide, Geordy. His approach was not only professional but also warm, heartfelt, and full of enthusiasm. Thanks to his deep knowledge of Inca history and culture, Machu Picchu truly came to life for us. His explanations were engaging, clear, and filled with fascinating details that we wouldn’t have learned from regular guides. He knew how to respond to our questions, adjust the pace of the tour, and create a pleasant atmosphere throughout. Thanks to Geordy, we didn’t just see beautiful ruins, we truly understood the significance and spirit of this magical place. His energy and passion for history make him an exceptional guide – without him, our experience wouldn’t have been nearly as powerful. If anyone is planning to visit Machu Picchu, we highly recommend traveling with InkaRail, and if you’re fortunate enough to have Geordy as your guide, you’re in for the best experience in Peru. This day will remain one of our most cherished memories.

I recommend the premium all inclusive, pickup at the hotel to MP and vice versa, don’t need to worry about transport, ticket to MP and guide.

The actual experience in the train was amazing. The live music was awesome and the coffee/tea and cookies were really nice. But I purchased a package and was unsatisfied with the experience. I never heard from the guy who helped me again after paying which made it feel like it was transactional and that he only cared about making a sale. I paid for circuit 2 and received circuit 3 due to error with the system and was not discounted anything. I asked if I could get a ride from the airport for the inconvenience and couldn’t get a reply until it was too late and was told it was a “last minute request” when I had asked far in advance just never received a response until the day of. Sent an email with my hotel location and primary contact number but still kept getting texts to my phone when I didn’t always have service (why I had a different number as my primary contact). I had to message them to receive tickets for the bus, super unorganized. I missed my city tour due to issues with the other rail system, which I understand is not Inca Rails fault, but you would think that people are traveling from all other the world to come here and they could work better together to ensure everyone has a smooth trip. I had to walk two hours, miss my train, miss my bus, miss my city tour….and was told they had to break company policy to get me on another train and bus home because it was our fault we missed the train. I thought purchasing a package was going to make it a smooth trip and that was not the case

Unless you have money to throw away, avoid this company. You pay over 80 euros for what it’s supposed to be a luxury ride, which is actually a train build in 1969 that travels at 30km/h and is extremely wobbly the whole way. Sure, the views are good, but for this price they don’t even offer a free snack or drink. Instead, they do an extremely inappropriate performance on the train as if anyone ever asked for it. Additionally, the train stops in Ollantaytambo and from there they put you on a van till Cusco. This is not clearly advertised on the website at all and I just feel robbed thinking that I paid 10€ for a van ride that would have been 10 soles by colectivo for the exact same mode of transport. This very uncomfortable van brings you to the most random spot of the city from which you then have to Uber back to your hotel. Considering that the van is filled with tourists, it doesn’t seem like a very difficult concept to bring us back close to the centre where all the accommodations are.

The on boarding process is smooth and timely. The waiting room is nice with clean restroom and hot/cold water! The group leaders are festive to spark the excitement. We have a positive experience overall! The exception is to do ticket exchange. It is too much trouble and it could use a little help from AI to make the process easier and cut down wait time!
