25 Best Places to Visit in South America

"Sitting at high altitude, this former capital of the Incan Empire mixes ancient Incan architecture with baroque Spanish temples and monasteries; highlights include the vibrant San Pedro Market for souvenirs and fresh produce and Coricancha, the Temple of the Sun, once among the empire’s most sacred buildings. Emmanuel Burgio, who has been coordinating South America travel for more than 20 years, recommends having cocktails near the tower of the historic San Cristobal Church: “You can enjoy a panoramic view of the sun setting over the historic center and Plaza de Armas.”" - Amanda Ogle Amanda Ogle Amanda Ogle is a writer and editor who specializes in travel, food and drink, sustainability, and general lifestyle topics. Scam! We had booked an excursion to the 7 colours mountains. In the end we just drove for 7 hours and saw nothing at all, because the weather conditions were not good. When we asked for our refund the agency told us that they could not know in advance. Today we went back pretending to be new tourists: the agency told us that it is possible to know the weather conditions in advance. I do not recommend this agency at all, very unprofessional, dishonest and does not take into account our opinions while all For all those who are at the Pirwa hotel (which is great by the way) do not book with this agency

⚠️ SCAM ALERT ⚠️ ⚠️ SCAM ALERT ⚠️ Do not book with them, it is a pure scam! We booked a trip for the 7 colors mountain, starting early in the morning. A few hours of road later, change of atmosphere: "we can't go there anymore, there is snow" so we make a turn, we pass by a simple lake of a mortal boredom which was on the way, to come back to Cuzco in the beginning of afternoon. We had paid more than 100 sol, we thus asked for a refund: well no, refused. After negotiation the guide "agrees" to give us back the money and doesn't even bother with a semblance of honesty by not giving us back even 1/8 of the initial payment. Back to the agency to get our money back, they kindly send us away because they said they could not foresee this bad weather. When I pretended to be a new customer a few hours later, I learned that in reality YES, they DO could predict the weather. Their answer when I take them on the fait accompli was to close the agency under my nose 😂 CONCLUSION: You want to pay more than 100 sol to drive 8 hours, without seeing the slightest landscape, with a fundamentally mediocre guide, all this to visit a lake as bad as the agency in which you booked the stay? Go for it! As for me, I did not see the color of this famous mountain, and yet there are 7 of them DON’T GO THERE ! Waste of time and money

Inca World Peru is the worst travel agency that I have ever met. I travel a lot. I had a contract with them while I was in Cusco for Traditional Cusco 4 days – 3 nights from 12 june till 15 june 2016. The service they offered me was different and transfers ALWAYS LATE. On the day I had to travel to Machu Picchu I had to be taken from my hotel at 03:30 am but the driver can in the hotel to took me at 04:45 am with an 1:45 min late. I arrived at Ollantaytambo station 10 min before train left. The driver had driven so fast, risky and dangerous. There was a risk for my life. The last day I had transfer at 7 am from my hotel to the bus station, but the transfer came at 07:50 am. AND I MISSED the bus to Puno. I was in Peru for holiday, but part of my time was under stress because of Inca World Peru travel agency. I paid 302 USD for their terrible service. People DO NOT USE this travel agency!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
