I loved our waitress -- she was so friendly and accommodating. Things I recommend: Carrots with mandarin oranges Cider aged in whiskey barrels Cherry beer Semifreddo for dessert I wasn't a huge fan of the pork belly but I'm by no means a refined pork belly expert. I wish I would have tried the brains... Awesome to have such a famous restaurant in the neighborhood. Definitely worth a visit.

Came here for the leg of beast dinner. This is a really fun thing to do with a big group of people, but would I come here again? Not likely unless I had to. There is just something about the actual leg of beast that I can't pin point why I'm not in love with the food. I feel like the flavor was overall lacking, and I can get something much better if my mom had cooked the meal (albeit, my mom is an amazing cook). However, I will say that I was extremely impressed with how all of the meat just fell off of the bone... now that was awesome. It's been awhile since I've been there, so my memory could be lacking, but I remember I was satisfied with the bone marrow and the braised greens. The bone marrow wasn't too rich and it did have some nice seasoning to it! The braised greens was probably my favorite. All in all, this was just an okay dinner. It was fun since it was very well presented and we had good company. We did however get to meet Chris contentino for a photo op at the end!

Took our family for the Leg of Beast for 8. We had the best time and had some great wine recommendations. All the food was absolutely amazing. This is a must visit if you are a foodie. Chris was also gracious enough to sign a book for us in the middle of the evening rush. Thanks again for a great evening.

Foodie gem hidden in San Francisco. Yes, sometimes they have exotic (weird) ingredients, but I think generally you can find something a little bit more usual on the menu. I usually mix it up and order a few of the classic plates with something new. The spaghettini with cured tuna heart, egg yolk & parsley is delicious and is almost always on the menu. The handkerchief pasta & rustic pork ragù is also an excellent classic. The waiters are super knowledgeable but definitely border snobbishness, but overall I think they definitely add to the dining experience.

If you are a carnivore, if you are into pork, this place is for you. The braised pork shoulder was almost the best I ever had. The best goes to a former sous-chef of Quince who runs Cook With James. The owner said that we could eat here every day. Although I agree carefully choosing from the menu would allow that to happen, I don't think my arteries would take it. Still, if you can, eat here, everyday. :D

Incanto is the place to eat if you are adventurous. I was lucky enough to eat calf's brain and beef heart served with radishes, fava beans, and summer onions. The entire meal was cooked to perfection and the seasoning for everything was spot on! The wine list is fantastic and the staff is very professional and knowledgeable. We sat at a table, but if you can, sit at the bar to watch the chefs.

Dinner was memorable because it was one of those long meals to be enjoyed slowly with a good friend where the wine and conversation kept flowing. We had the salumi platter which was so good; I enjoyed everything on there, particularly the pate. We had the special which was a combo of beef heart and tuna tartare, and we also split the spaghetinni which was cooked well and came with tuna heart. The pork shoulder fell off the bone and came with lentils. Everything was delightfully good and I'm glad I got to finally dine here before it closes for good. Looking forward to the new restaurant .

How adventurous of an eater are you? Do you like tongue, offals, and brains? If so, step right up! This an upscale, fancy restaurant that converts the most seemingly inedible parts of an animal (including more exotic animals) to something delicious. I would stick with the items on the 'Odds and Ends' menu since everything I tried on that was amazing. Certain items on the full menu were a miss.
