We stopped by for dinner and I’m glad we did. Service is extremely hospitable and welcoming. We didn’t see any tourists dining so I guess it can be considered a more refined local spot. Recommend the seafood but octopus, sea bass grape leaves and the fava bean mezze were all exceptional. Overall decent mezzes and good seafood mains.

High quality ingredients and so delicious dishes. I have never had problem at restaurants that are recommended by Vedat Milor. This place is not an exception. Good service, kind waiters, an flavourful dishes. Highly recommended.

From the front, it didn’t look much, but the garden terrace is amazing. We were hungry but the few things we tried were delicious. Some interesting ancient recipes as well.

Nestled near the Beylerbeyi pier, this tavern combines an excellent location with an atmosphere of understated elegance. The terrace at the back is a true gem, especially during summer evenings—a perfect spot to enjoy the breeze and unwind. The menu struck a fine balance between the classics and unique, thoughtfully curated dishes. What stood out to me was the inclusion of recipes borrowed from Tovmasyan, Yerasimos, and Evliya Çelebi, each crediting its historical source—a rare and commendable gesture of culinary homage. For my meal, I tried Hurma Kebabı for the first time, and it was nothing short of exceptional. Paired with the attentive and warm service, it’s no surprise this tavern has become one of my favourites in Istanbul. A must-visit for both locals and visitors seeking a refined yet authentic dining experience.

This place was recommended to us by one of our Turkish friends. It didn’t disappoint. All the mezze’s we ordered were delicious, very friendly service starting from the nice lady at the door who makes you feel at home with her smile. I recommend this place if you’re looking for a cozy local experience.

Stopped by just to have a Raki and they told us we had to buy something to eat. Sooooo glad we did!! Had a couple of mezzes that were super fresh and tasty. All of them recommended by the staff that was super kind and attentive. Careful tho, a bit on the expensive side! A bit sad our boat had to leave, but definetly an unexpected pleasure.

This restaurant offers an oasis of peace and welcoming atmosphere. Traditional Turkish cuisine at its best. Great seafood dishes and attentive service. Dining here is an experience on its own. Everything we ordered was super delicious and fresh. Freshly baked rolls were amazing with salad. Highly recommended!

Over all great experience - food was pricy but tasty and I loved the atmosphere and friendly service. We only drank 1 bottle of water but were charged for two and also didn’t realize there was a 20% service fee tacked on the end til after I handed the server a cash tip. Menu was limited - only red meat and sea food mains so I got more of the vegetarian mezes to make up for this and they were tasty. I especially enjoyed the eggplant with tahini and the grape leaves stuffed with lentils!
