We ordered the scallop risotto and the squid ink linguine, these two dishes is pretty special, less likely to see these dishes before. The lemon sour taste in the scallop risotto was a bit too over, overall the favour was pretty heavy. However the squid ink linguine was surprisingly great, it tasted special and really delicious, highly recommended this. We also ordered the tiramisu, which is very different to the original one, I prefer the original one more…… While the service and the environment were both good, so it was a good lunchtime.

Absolutely gorgeous place! I had my dinner during sunset outside with a nice view. The Linguine Negro were just perfect, as was the Coconut Sorbet as a desert. Also there was delicious sea bass salad on the house! The service was fast and super friendly. I hope, I can come back one day!

Amazing dinner hosted by Toni. He was great and trustworthy for the recommendations. We had the oxtail risotto, burrata with Sintra’s mushrooms and two great sweet treats to end this great experience. Fully recommended! We wanted to make a reservation for the next day but they’re closed on Wednesdays! Go there if you have the chance, you won’t regret it.

Was really looking forward to trying the food here, given that the reviews of this place were amazing. We got the lamb & the shrimp with green curry. Lamb was okay and the flavor of the shrimp curry was amazing but I was expecting more of that curry/sauce for sure, like what I’ve seen in photos that other people have posted on Google. Upon questioning they said “just depends on how much soup the rice has absorbed” …? I just don’t understand how some can be made so soupy and mine ended up so dry. Was really expecting a soupy/more saucy dish so I was really disappointed. Again, flavor was amazing but maybe make sure to ask for more curry/sauce/soup if you order the shrimp with green curry.

This restaurant is so calm and relaxed, the service is perfect and the food is amazing. On week days there is a main course and a drink (wine) for €15.50, which is incredible value for what you receive. The seafood linguine really blew me away, and the cheeseboard was the best I have ever tried. Thanks for the incredible meal!

Google
ABSOLUTELY the best dinner in Lisbon and Sintra. We are so happy we found a table here and enjoyed this great dinner. Great food perfectly made, great taste, not at all touristic. Reasonable prices, great wine and deserts. Staff was very friendly and helped us ordering. The trip to Sintra had a very tasteful ending. Congrats to all of you, If we return to Lisbon for sure we will return here.

Google
We had an amazing dinner tonight! Totally recommend it! The oxtail risotto is a must try and with the starters is impossible to be wrong with the amazing selection they have. We did try the cheese with a tomate ham and the mushrooms with burrata. Toni was super nice and truly helpful!

Enjoyed a fine dining experience with standout dishes like the cod fish l, soup and roasted peppers. However, the squid’s texture wasn’t quite to my taste.

Yelp
We were recommended this restaurant by our driver in Sintra who said it was the best place in the city so we decided to try it for lunch. I had the shrimp and cod risotto while my wife had the sea bass with vegetables. Both were excellent. The service was superb and the waiter had good drink advice. Overall, a great meal!

Yelp
The best in Sintra!! Hopefully going back tomorrow for one last time. Im still dream of an oxtail risotto that took my breath away, but everything that chef Luis Santos do is just magnificent. We went for 2 weeks all over portugal and didnt have anything like it. Is a most, even if you can go to Sintra just to eat in his restaurant. ext with your camera ¡¡Lo mejor de Sintra!!

Yelp
Omg. Just go. Our best meal of two weeks. Prices great. Food incredible. Staff great ambience nice. Like a Michelin experience.

Yelp
Had Incomum bookmarked to try while we were in Sintra for the day. We dropped in on a Thursday afternoon (1:30pm). Only a 5 minute wait for a table. Service was okay but they don't double check your order. No lunch menu, entrees are 14,00€ to 34,00€. The tasting menu (47,50€ per person) didn't seem worth it. - Incomum vinho verde (3,50€) - light, easy drinking. - Sugestão de peixe do dia (14,00€) - daily fish special was octopus with risotto. Octopus was excellently cooked; meaty yet tender. The risotto was bland. - Vieiras coradas c/ risotto de maracujá (21,00€) - sautéed scallops with passionfruit risotto. The three scallops were tender but not similarly sized. Passionfruit risotto was a first for us. Nicely balanced. Was expecting more of a wow factor at Incomum.

Yelp
This was seriously the best service I've had in forever. I wish I got the server's name but he was just so attentive, friendly, helpful, and thoughtful. He truly went above and beyond. Our food and wine were fantastic. I'd come back solely for the wine! Seafood is very fresh. Even the side veggies were done perfectly. Could have a tad more flavor in the dishes, but everything else was perfect.

Yelp
We had lunch at Incomum while exploring Sintra and it was one of our top dining experiences. The hospitality and service were impeccable and it was a plus that the staff spoke English. The staff were attentive to our table service and directed us well to find the restroom when needed. + We ordered the Board of Portuguese Cheese with Chutney and toasts which I highly recommend. I wasn't a big fan of sheep cheese prior but this dish changed my mind. The cheese wasn't very pungent and it felt like a mix of brie and goat cheese. The cherry chutney was absolutely delicious and paired well with all the cheeses. + The hubby tried the Iberian Pork Filet Mignon w/ Clams Polenta which we would also highly recommend. The filet mignon was tender and clams fresh. + Lastly I got the linguine al nero w/ shrimp and brown crab. The cream crab sauce that coated the linguine was divine and shrimp cooked to perfect. The only regret was that the dish was so big, I couldn't imagine one person eating it themselves.

Yelp
The food was decent but I would say the wine and dessert were the best! The lighting was a little too bright for me. The service was good!

Yelp
This place was recommend by Las Tours. We spent the day out so we came in hungry. We didn't book a reso but def recommended doing so. Most of their tables were already reserved so we needed up sitting in the back. Their table set up was fantastic though. They had a wide range of Portuguese food from seafood, to soups and salads, and beef/meat options. Food came out fast, place was clean, and their staff was attentive. I ordered the linguine with clams and shrimp which was delicious. Portion was okay but sort of pricey, (Just a little bit) it was more upscale. But the salmon app was fresh. There's also two bathrooms one in the middle and one in the back, but their single person bathrooms. Overall, we had a great experience here.

Yelp
Great wait staff. Very professional. Nice peaceful atmosphere. We had a great meal here. I'd say the best we had in Portugal. We started with the Azietão cheese with tomato chutney and toast. It was amazing. I don't know how they make the tomato chutney, but it was so good. Combine it with the Azietão cheese and it was unbelievable. I had the Lamb chips. My partner had the Shrimp green curry with exotic risotto. Both were delicious. My plate was filled with chops! We liked it so much, we talked about taking the train back out to Sintra just to eat here again. Highly pleased with this restaurant and would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Spent the day exploring all the palaces and castles Sintra has to offer while hiking up and down the hills. We wanted to grab something before heading back to Lisbon by train, so we stopped here. We were seated immediately at one of the outdoor tables. It was a perfect weather day, so this was very nice. We ordered some drinks and got the meat and cheese platter. Eat of the meats and cheeses were local and all were really good! The toasts they provide along with the board were delicious as well! We really enjoyed the hour or so we sat in the Portuguese sun and took in a bit of the European lifestyle we were looking for. Our waiter was attentive when we needed something, but otherwise just let us relax. For dessert, we split the tiramisu. It was made with port poached pears along with the usual ingredients and it was delicious! Highly recommend.

Yelp
I came to this place to have a nice meal with my boyfriend, the menu looks nice but they are very irresponsible with how they work. We ordered gazpacho and pork fillet. I am ALLERGIC to CORIANDER, in the menu it was not written but as I always do I asked the waiter to be sure. He confirmed for both meals. The soup came and it had coriander, I started having allergic reactions, he said he is very sorry, I took his apologies thinking it is an honest mistake. He went to the kitchen to be sure the other meal doesn't have coriander. After a 30 min break I started eating the pork fillet came with polente. And the polente - was FULL OF CORIANDER!!. Never seen this much of disrespect. If my allergy was more serious I might have died. They really ruined my day, I hope you won't hurt any other person's health.

Yelp
Really nice spot in Sintra. Loved the food. Service was excellent. Very reasonable and delicious selection of wines. A very popular spot for locals and out of towners. If visiting Sintra again, Incomum would be at the top of my list to visit again.

Yelp
Our meal here was fabulous. The place is right outside the train station and a great way to start off your time in Sintra. My shrimp risotto was sublime and my guy's seabass was perfectly grilled over a bed of basmati rice and pickled vegetables . We let our server know we had tickets so they fast tracked our meal and everything was perfect.

Yelp
Got a reservation? If not, get one! We walked up hoping to have dinner for four but were turned down since we didn't have reservations. As we stood outside disappointed and in search of something else a gentleman came out and called us back in. We were so happy especially since we had quite the walk over. We were greeted and seated right away. Our waiter was very sweet and she provided great suggestions which we all followed. I had the linguine with shrimp and brown crab. My plate was rich, creamy, delicious and loaded with shrimp. Hubby was pleased with his steak too. Everyone's food looked amazing and we each cleaned our plates out. Thanks to the gentleman who called us back in. You saved us from having a bad day (we were getting hangry) It just happened to align up for us perfectly.

Yelp
Recommended by a server @our hotel & so glad we took his advice. Interesting decor, very simple. Food was fantastic & service was great! Highly recommend!!

Yelp
Pro-tip: Sit outside if you don't have a reservation. Price: 5* Value: 5* Taste: 5* Ambience: 4* Service: 5*+ (ask for Andy, he was great) A group of four stopped by on our way to Sinatra. Sat outside and had an amazing meal, with great service and a great view. We all had the lunch specials which is a great deal. The lunch special is 15 euros. It includes bread and olive oil, a soup or salad, a main course, a dessert, and a glass of wine or beer or water. Killer deal. The food was amazing. My partner and I shared the sea bass and Iberico pork. They were both delicious. Juicy, tender, well seasoned and they each hit the spot. The salad was fresh and vegetable soup was good. The dessert we ordered the chocolate cake (good) and the almond tart (amazing). The wine was their house red and it was so smooth. I will return.

Yelp
Final stop on the food tour and it was a great one. We were seated in the tasting room and had fabulous service. A great wine, some fantastic sardines and just a calming and relaxing visit. Excellent Portuguese red wine and after croquettas, chorizo, cheese, and the like, I went sideways and chose a plate of sardines in a spicy tomato sauce. Not only were they delicious (and hooray, heads and tails removed before serving) they were served with an interesting vegetable I've never seen before, salicornia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salicornia which I'd love to see more of. Beautifully presented food, great wine, a very comfortable tasting environment. Incomum is five stars and a great finish to my day of exploring Sintra. Yelp
Incomum was great! We ate here after a long day of exploring Sintra and were glad we did. It's closer to the train station bus stop but easily walkable from the historic center if you are swinging by for lunch and have more things to see. Unfortunately, we didn't know that and got there late in the day when the tasting menu was no longer available but we still greatly enjoyed our experience. We started with the codfish ceviche, which was delicious. The cod was very tasty and just salty enough to pair well with the bread, blistered peppers, and the tomatoes. I had the octopus with spinach and sweet potato, which sounded a bit like an odd combination to me, but it was delicious! The octopus was perfectly cooked and had a great meaty flavor that paired will with the spinach and sweet potato. Definitely get this if you like octopus! I would definitely come back if I ever return!

Yelp
No reservations? Just stand outside for two minutes and they feel sorry for you and let you back in. Nice place with good food. Service staff very knowledgeable about menu. Good ambiance and good prices in this place. Worth the walk...

Yelp
We were recommended this place in Sintra and had a late lunch here. We didn't have a reservation but they were able to fit us in which was nice. This place is much larger than it looks from the street so do try and go in. The bread and olives were fantastic. I ate the Octopus which was cooked really nicely and a generous portion, but really what hit it out of the park oddly enough was the sweet potato that accompanied it. It was caramelized to perfection, I was so happy to just sit and eat what is supposed to be a side. We enjoyed the lobster soup, it was smooth and rich at the same time. My husband got the beef and potato gratin, both were done well and it was a nice meal to end a day of touring around! Service was fine, but wouldn't say it was memorable.

Sara Jane W.

Yelp
Food was amazing and our server, Joanna, made the evening so special and fun. By far our best meal during our entire trip to Portugal. We had many small plates and my entree was the scallops with mushroom risotto. So amazing! Highly recommend!

Yelp
We had dinner here as a group of 4 after a day of exploring sintra and it was the perfect meal. Staff was kind and attentive and everything we ate was delicious! Would definitely go again.

John M.

Yelp
Our hotel host recommended this restaurant. After one bite of my scallops and risotto I said to my wife 'best meal I have had in Portugal.' After my second or third bite I said 'one of the best meals I have ever had anywhere.' My wife said her sea bass was similarly out of this world. We had a duo chocolate mousse and affogato for dessert and they were equally wonderful. Just go to this place. Flipping incredible.

Yelp
They hype is real! This was a very cute restaurant, a bit outside the main tourist area. The food was amazing. Everything from the wine selection, appetizer, seabass entree, to dessert, were all incredibly tasty. Combined with good service that was not overbearing. I would definitely come here again if I am ever in Sintra. Make this a place to eat on your next visit!

Yelp
This place is spectacular! Great service. Good prices. Delicious food. We had Salad Mesclum with fruit - amazing. The chips and guacamole were good. The cod & the sea bass were delicious. And the chocolate fondant and raspberry sorbet was one of the best desserts I've ever had!! Reservations are suggested.

Yelp
Wow. Just go here if you are in Sintra...and if you are not, it's worth the trip. Excellent execution on everything, especially the pumpkin risotto. I hope to be back one day.

Yelp
This is the best high-end restaurant in Sintra! The menu is exceedingly creative and chef delivers powerhouse plates on the tasting menu - and do yourself a favor order the wine tasting menu as well for a very nice tour through the menu. My favorite waiter: Rogerio is incredibly knowledgeable of the menu and wine list... ask for him by name!!! I've visited at least 5 times over the last 12 months and this place delivers EVERY time... if you appreciate great quality food, a creative menu, and nice ambiance - this is your place... Come hungry and be patient and everything will be perfect....

Yelp
We spent 3 nights in Sintra and ate here on the first night. We should have come back every night. The food was great. We had the lamb chops and sea bass. Both dishes were very good.

Yelp
Incomum by Luis Santos was my favorite meal during my trip to Portugal. We're talking not only in Sintra, but over a one and a half week span in five cities including Lisbon and Porto. We stopped by for dinner after visiting a bunch of the palaces in Sintra. The restaurant was recommended to us by a friend. Funny enough, we had some trouble locating the restaurant so I stopped by an ice cream shop for direction. The chef, Luis Santos, was at the ice cream shop!! You can't make this stuff up! The interior was fully booked on a Friday evening but we were seated promptly on the patio. It was a bit chilly out and the staff was gracious enough to offer us blankets. What a nice touch! The service was actually great throughout and the chef stopped by after his ice cream lol to thank us for coming. Crab bisque (4/5): a delicious soup similar to lobster bisque. The flavor was there, just not a lot of seafood. Pork tenderloin (5/5): now this was the star of the evening. If I could give them more than five stars, I would. This may have been the best pork I've ever had in my life. It was so tender, flavorful, and delicious. My dining companions all ordered the same dish and they were in agreement. Luis Santos is a phenomenal chef and I was happy I was able to check out his restaurant during a short trip to Sintra.

Yelp
Wonderful meal. Reminds me of a favorite restaurant back home where you could easily be a regular. Nice staff, good selection in particular vegetarian as well as meat lovers and good portions. Solid wine list. The olive oil pudding with pineapple sorbet was unforgettable. Not a super high end restaurant but very close to what you would expect at one for reasonable prices.
google avatar

H David K.

Yelp
Oh my wow - did that just happen in my mouth? What a great find in Sinatra! I got the Tasting menu with the wine pairings and everything delivered. Lots of very creative flavor combinations that you might not expect, but chef gets high praise! The green gazpacho and basil sorbet was so good! The avocado salmon samphire was on fire ! The scallops with passion fruit risotto was cooked perfectly and was so bright! And the duck margret with sweet potato and fig had so many flavors working together! And finally, the olive oil pudding with pineapple sorbet was the dagger! The wait staff was great. I'd recommend reservations - the place is on the smaller side, but does have indoor and outdoor seating... I'm going back!

Yelp
I planned my entire day in Old Town Sintra around having the 11 EUR lunch here that I had heard so much about (it goes until 3 pm, so I hurried back from Pena Palace and skipped the Moorish Castle, a decision I'm totally glad that I made). They refer to it as the "'Executive Lunch" on the menu, and it's hard to imagine ordering anything else, even though the evening tasting menu looked pretty fabulous and I was almost tempted to just get that since I wouldn't be able to make it for dinner. But, 11 EUR is not to be passed up, so Executive Lunch it was. To be honest, nothing about the food itself blew me away, but the great service, ambiance, and amazing deal, still makes this a worthwhile meal while in Sintra. First Course - Olives + Bread. I actually don't like olives but I ate a few of these. They weren't as potent as those I've had in the past, so I didn't hate them, but they didn't exactly manage to make me a sudden olive fan. Second Course - Soup or Salad - I had the soup. A nice starter. Third Course - They were out of the GuineaFowl and maybe that would have been better than the pretty salty Codfish that I had. Fourth Course - Dessert - The coconut cake was quite good. I was only planning to take a bite but ended up eating the whole thing. To drink (included) I had a glass of white wine, which paired perfectly with my meal. If I had paid much more I probably wouldn't have been as satisfied with the meal, but given that it was 11 EUR, I can't complain.

Yelp
It is a very nice place with wide selection of wines and delicious food. Staff is very helpful and friendly.

Yelp
Amazing. Had the 3 course lunch special. Incredible value. Service was great. Strong attention to detail from the ice water presentation to giving different knives based on ordering fish vs pork. Chocolate cake and John Dorey fish were the highlights. If you can visit here for the lunch special - do it! Felt like we robbed them for only $25 euro for 2 people though dinner did seem significantly more expensive

Yelp
Wonderful food and excellent wine, a great way to end a day exploring Sintra. We didn't have a reservation, but the host was able to accommodate us. We visited their wine shop next door and enjoyed a glass while we waited for our table. We recommend the sea bass and asparagus risotto. The restaurant itself is a little spartan as far as ambiance and decor, but still made for a nice intimate dinner.

Marcia E.

Yelp
We happened upon Incomum on our visit to Sintra, as it was away from the bustle of the train station & the center of the Centro.

Yelp
Tucked away in the small town of Sintra was this culinary delight. The surrounding views of Sintras illustrious castles along with friendliness of the staff set the mood for an amazing dinner. We started off the meal with a rose wine along with peppers and prosciutto. The wine was refreshing and fruity. The peppers were yummy with a little kick to them and the prosciutto was so fresh and tasty. For our entrees we had the octopus which was so tender and delicious it was grilled to perfection. I had the pork tenderloin and I could not recommend this dish more. I've never had pork that just melted in your mouth with each bite. It was served with clams and polenta which was a nice addition to the dish and made for a delightful dinner. If you're looking for a restaurant to sit and relax at for the evening you have to try incomum. The wine list is great and they even have a shop next store where you can purchase bottles that you had with dinner. The staff is so friendly and the view is so peaceful!

R. W.

Yelp
Superb and sophisticated lunch menu, excellent food and service. Facade is deceiving, as there is a very nice dining room behind the street entrance. We shared some really fine foie gras and also had the seafood bisque for starters, followed by the plat du jour (seafood risotto). If you're in the mood for a little something on the fancy side, including a white tablecloth dining experience, you won't regret a meal here. Definitely not a shorts and t-shirt type place.

Yelp
A real nice restaurant in Sintra serving delicious food. We were a large party of 20 and the restaurant took extra care to ensure that service was timely and enjoyable. We had a pre-set meal which started with a carrot soup. It was one of the best soups I have tasted. The entree portions were a bit small but the flavor of the seafood was great. Overall a great experience! Do try this restaurant if you are in Sintra. Will I return : Absolutely!
google avatar

Hannah E.

Yelp
Let me start by saying that the lunch menu is a screaming good deal. Bread, olives, beer/wine, starter, entree, and dessert for 11 euro? Please. Especially when one of the options is octopus risotto. Which I ordered. Of course. Sadly, though the octopus was tender and there was a delightful mystery vegetable on top giving the whole dish a lemony crunch (I later discovered it was samphire), the whole thing was one-note and that note was the flavor of imitation crab. I don't know why - the octopus was clearly octopus, not imitation crab - but that flavor was unmistakable. It really off-colored the main dish for me. The starter soup - some kind of butternut squash, I think - was delicious, though the olives were underripe, and I wished there had been olive oil for the heavy brick of cornbread we were served. A berry-poured red velvet cake finished the meal on a good note.

Yelp
Wonderful restaurant. One of the best we've tried in and around Lisbon. Everything we tried was delicious. The local wine recommended by our waiter was also excellent. The staff extremely nice. Highly recommended.

Yelp
strong 4.5 stars here. Based on a group of reviews across multiple platforms we decided this would be our lunch stop during our visit to Sintra. We were delighted with this restaurant choice. A bit more casual at lunch with sidewalk dining, but be prepared if you've been comfortably touring town that you may feel underdressed in the white table-cloth dining room. Multiple well-dressed business people enjoying lunch. We were given one of the tables on the sidewalk (away from the business folks). Our server seemed a bit grumpy on our visit as he provided menus and asked about drinks. Planning to eat light, we chose some appetizers/small plates for our meal. The Iberian ham plate was as delicious as we expected-so smooth as to almost be sweet. They know how to do this so well in Portugal & Spain. Unfortunately, the bread served with this was underwhelming. Quite dry. My DW chose the crab and lobster soup. It smelled delicious, heady with that aroma of the sea. Asking her how she liked it, I was offered a taste. To both of us it tasted a little "fishy". Not unpleasant but that flavor of seafood not 100% fresh. Maybe just our personal tastes. We also felt it was lacking in quantity of lobster/crab meat. Given all that, not a drop was left. The local cod ceviche sounded interesting as the menu calls it "unusual". I order ceviche nearly every time I can so chose that. And a dish that would turn out to be quite possibly the most delicious thing I ate during 17 days in Portugal-Seared Scallops with Passionfruit Risotto. The ceviche was prepared with pieces of mango and bits of red onion and was redolent of really bright lemon flavor. With the number of lemon trees we saw in our travels, not surprising. Very fresh tasting-not fishy. I am always a bit leery ordering scallops-which I love-in a restaurant because I prefer them a little more on the done side rather than the light sear you find in many establishments. But I could tell immediately the three beauties served atop my passionfruit risotto were perfect. And they were. I had never chosen a risotto made with any type of fruit before. But this was a revelation. The flavor really exploded when eaten. Bright, citrusy, and deep. Like it had been simmered for hours to establish so much flavor (though it probably wasn't). And this complemented the scallops sooo exceptionally. The two together was amazing. My wife said I was "glowing" while enjoying every bite. I could have ordered a second portion easily but I chose not to. Truly a dish I will remember for a long, long time. An added note, they serve the food here on some really attractive and unique plates. All the high ratings we had seen in other reviews were spot on. It's a wonderful choice for enjoying a meal during a visit to Sintra. Highly recommended.

Yelp
By far the best meal I've had in years. We had the tasting menu with wine pairing, and it was absolutely fantastic. Cannot recommend more highly. Just go. That is all.

Yelp
The food was very good, innovative. The service was excellent and welcoming. Try Incomum when visiting Sintra! You will leave with a smile.

Yelp
This place is simply divine! The food, service and atmosphere were all superb! This lovely restaurant delivered one of our finest meals in all of Portugal! Highly recommend!
