Independence Cocktail Bar

Very unique cocktails with a twist of Thai flavor. The rum ingredients are sourced locally. The staff are very friendly and chill. I especially love the art and music of this bar, very artsy in a Thai retro way. 10/10

Went here since PP, the bartender from TOT recommended this place cuz it closes at 2am, and TOT was closing at 1am. My partner and I still wanted our cocktail fix since it was our last full night in Bangkok, so to Independence Bar we want. Before that night I've never heard of E-sarn/Issan region in Thailand but after that we are now EDUCATED - or maybe just a little bit hahaha. It's one of those times when as the bar nears its closing time, it experiences a "lull" so the customers leave and the orders coming in gets less and less and I think that's when the bartenders let loose and are free to talk hahah. (Of course make sure to be sitting at the bar instead of the tables for this to happen). This guy bartender called Bank/Joy explained to us all about their drinks and apart from getting surprised at how strong Issan rum is, we were also surprised to know he's only been working there for 3 months, and as his first job too, and already it seems like he knows the ropes already too well!! In the last hour that we had until they closed, we got offered free popcorn and popcorn refills, free clear soup (which felt like the kind of soup you would have in the morning trying to nurse a hangover), free Issan rum tasting, and bought 4x E-sarn region inspired cocktails (shoutout to the Baksida Punch and Bakmo Punch cuz we like our drinks tangy). Due to Bank's salesman skills, we also bought a bottle of Issan Rum to add to our mini home bar. What a fun one hour we spent there and the only thing I didnt like during our time there is the fact that they close at 2am when I think that's when the fun actually starts 😆 i also didnt like that we were flying home the next day so we will definitely be back, Bangkok!!

11/10 service. I arrived on a Sunday night and had the whole place to myself. Nice staff took care of me during my whole stay. Not sure if it would be the same when packed so I'll have to go again. 2025 now, and I've visited multiple times since the above, which was from 2023. Service is still good as well as the drinks. The menu has changed to Isan ingredients. Surprisingly they still remember me which is very touching and appreciated.

First time here! Soooooo nice and the cocktails are sooo goooood. I live the concept, the menu, and the service. Bamboo did great job explain us the details without hesitation. Will be back for sure.

100 out of 10!!!!!!!! You guys have to come here for real. 2 bartender girls are amazing, they made our night completed joyful with laughed (Their name is Bamboo and Amway, they will be there only weekday). The drink also WOOOOOOW, it was so good, we have ever tried this kind of flavor before so great local drink. I’ll go back there again for sure! Sit at the bar is the best.

I would say it's one of the BEST bars I have been so far! this place gives out more like a friendly atmosphere, not like a Bar-Bar. (Maybe bcus I went on Monday night) The bartenders there were all girls and super friendly 💕 I would feel safe even if I went alone. They treat you like friends and give you good advice on drinks. Impressive. The signature cocktails may not be that strong, but it's good for a not-heavy-drinker (Sweet&Sour) Most importantly, No Tax No Service charge! Definitely come again!

Delicious and fun drinks with friendly and caring staff. They have a smoking room that you can enjoy playing chess. The bar is filled with famous quotes from movies. Nice music. Would 100% recommend to stop by and try.

All the drinks a delicious. The whole atmosphere was incredible. Went there 2 nights in a row. The whole vibe was amazing and incredible friendly staff. I would recommend for everyone to give this place a try.
