I had a truly enjoyable stay at Independence Hotel in Sihanoukville. The property is beautifully located with breathtaking ocean views, creating a calm and refreshing atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The surroundings are peaceful, full of greenery, and perfect for anyone looking to unwind away from the city. The staff were polite, attentive, and very supportive throughout my stay. My room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with everything well maintained. The hotel’s overall cleanliness and relaxing ambience made the experience even better. One of the highlights of my stay was the Sunset Restaurant. The view there is absolutely stunning—perfect for watching the sun set over the ocean. The food was delicious, the service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere felt warm and relaxing. It’s a must-visit spot within the hotel. The hotel’s pool and beach areas are also great places to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Sihanoukville. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Sihanoukville—Independence Hotel offers comfort, hospitality, and unforgettable views, especially at the Sunset Restaurant.

This 1960s hotel is a mid-century marvel. It has beautiful forested grounds with monkeys and squirrels. The swimming pool by the sea and the private beach is lovely. The rooms and design features are great too. The service is a bit more wobbly. It varies from great to indifferent. Also the wi-fi didn’t work at all. They said they had called the repair people but this isn’t acceptable.

I recently stayed at the Independence Hotel in Sihanoukville and had a wonderful experience. The room was spotless, featuring a large, comfortable bed and a full range of amenities including an iron and ironing board (up on request), which was perfect for my business needs. The front desk team was incredibly friendly and took the time to explain all the facilities in detail. A highlight of the stay was the breakfast; the selection is excellent and definitely shouldn't be missed! For dinner, I highly recommend the Sunset restaurant. The chef’s curated menu is superb, and the sunset views are breathtaking. I also visited the spa for a 60-minute "Fix Me" massage. It was incredibly relaxing and left me feeling energized; just be sure to book in advance! Even the gym was a highlight, as I could enjoy a full sea view while on the treadmill. Overall, this hotel offers amazing value and a top-tier experience.

I've stayed here previously several times, those I really enjoyed. |This time not so much. |The main historical building I really enjoy, with great views of the ocean, nice large rooms and comfortable beds. ||However, in the hotels quest for money, opening up the beautiful oceanside pool for people from outside, meant paying guests couldn't get a seat. Waiters are running around trying to serve so many guests (not enough service staff for the influx in visitors), some not even wearing appropriate swimming outfits. It's not a facility for hotel guests. ||Previously the beach was also private, but now people come walking in and out, sitting on the seats. Not guests at the hotel. The staff leave the area before the sun goes down. These are just basic management. ||I will never say at this hotel again, and with newer hotels opening this will struggle into the future, will be saved by it's iconic location and name. You wont get repeat guests. ||Breakfast was great, staff fantastic in the breakfast room. ||Potential, but badly managed.

The location and the vibe are so nice — it really feels like I’m on an island. The hotel is very clean and spacious, and the pool is beautiful. I especially love the gym, because I can enjoy the sea view while I’m working out. The breakfast is also really delicious. Overall, I truly love this hotel and everything it offers.

This hotel is what I still want to stay in. It is located on the mountain, far away from the noisy urban areas and close to the beautiful coast, with a long beach, a beautiful infinity pool, an oversized garden, perfect room service and cleanliness. The monkeys in the last few photos can be seen on the way to the hotel. This place is very suitable for parents, couples and group trips! Strongly recommend it.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
