Indian Coffee House is often recommended for its heritage and nostalgia, but honestly, my experience with the food was disappointing. While the place definitely has old-world charm and historical value, the food itself did not meet expectations.
I tried a few popular items, including snacks and coffee, but the taste felt average at best. The coffee lacked depth, and the food felt bland and outdated — not in a nostalgic way, but in a way that felt neglected. Compared to its reputation, the quality did not justify the hype.
The ambience is old-school, which some people may enjoy, but the seating and overall maintenance could be better. Service was slow, and the staff seemed indifferent. Prices are reasonable, but even then, taste matters more.
That said, I understand why people visit — for conversations, memories, and the historic vibe rather than food. If you’re going purely for the experience or nostalgia, you might enjoy it. But for food alone, I personally wouldn’t recommend it.
There are far better places in CP if taste is your priority.
