Indiana Colony Market

The little shops here are great. It's just that some don't make it or stay longer. You might like the new one that comes up but one day you don't come back for a while and it's gone. Plus parking is meh, there's the city spot down the street is cheaper than the private lot nearby.

Terrible facilities. The only bathroom with a baby changing station was locked, and the employee stationed there today did not know what the entry code was and he was reluctant to get up and find out - even with a crying infant who needed to safely be changed. They ended up not helping at all. Whoever runs this place, and that employee with zero compassion, should be ashamed of themselves. A working baby changing station, by the way, is required by state law in most cases.

Omg my bus stop to Pasadena left me 2 doors near the shop. Was curious. Went in and fell in love with this place. Great place to visit.

I was waiting for 180 bus.

Pretty small food hall with only a few vendors. Nice, clean, and quality vendors! The Pie Hole in the back has a nice seating area. The coffee shop next door occupies the entire half and seems busy. Parking is in the structure next door and none of the vendors validate. Street parking is an option but may be difficult to spot. Bathroom is in the basement. A little scary cuz you have to go down the stairs pretty deep but it's clean. Make sure to ask the staff for codes.

I just love this little nook. Don't expect a giant food hall like some that've been popping up all around LA/the country--this is like their little sister. I lived in Pasadena back in 2015 and recently moved back, and I'm pleased to see that Indiana Colony is as lovely as ever. They've got a Pie Hole, Pressed Juicery, a tea place, and a newly added Wanderlust Creamery. The Coolhaus and old flower shop are no longer and it actually feels like they could maybe add another vendor or two, but the extra space is nice too. They've got a handful of tables for hanging with friends, sipping a coffee (or juice, or tea, or ice cream) solo, or getting some work done. There's an entrance both on Colorado and from the back alley, and if you plan on driving, I suggest the lot on Fair Oaks/behind this cute little block. They share a wall with Intelligenstia and both are fun spots to pop into while walking in Old Town (or just to soak in a bit of the A/C during the warmer months). Restroom is in the basement and you need a code, just as an FYI!

What a charming little pocket in old town Pasadena! There are several shops here offering a variety of snacks and treats. It's clean, the quality of the shops and offerings seem to be high, and it offers a secret little pocket to sneak into to escape heat, rain, cold, or just for a little deliciousness.

Indiana Colony may not be Grand Central Market or Anaheim's Packing District, but it sure does offer Pasadenians (Pasadenans?) a cute alternative. Flowers, spices, pies (savory and sweet), coffee, ice cream, and cold-pressed juices are housed here. There are a handful of tables and free wifi, which is a bonus if you're looking for a cozy spot to post up for a few hours. The Pie Hole, Cool Haus, and Pressed Juicery sure do know how to pick solid real estate. Noticed a sign that Pop Physique will soon join the Colony's lineup in the basement downstairs...an awesome addition! On Colorado, entrance right next to Intelligentsia.

The Indiana colony is a versatile space evident from the Lincoln pop-up boutique installed in the middle of the room! Not sure how long it'll be up, but I love that this area is so communal! Located right next to Intelligentsia, the Indiana colony has a small flower shop out front, an ice cream bar (coolhaus), bottled juices, the pie hole, and a decent amount of tables and chairs to sit, mingle, or get some work done. There's wifi and outlets available, so if you run outta juice while working at intelligentsia, head on over and plug in over here with a fresh cup of coffee!

I had no idea there was even a name for this place, but I have been here so many times, I had to leave a review. Comparing it with something huge like the Packing House would be a stretch but it is a small collection of shops and food, Coolhaus being my favorite and the reason I step foot in here most of the time! Simple decor, high ceilings, industrial kind of look, airy, bright. Not too much seating or too much to do, but it is a nice stop while in the area to grab goodies from multiple vendors at once. Parking can be a pain, meters out front if you are lucky. Coolhaus rocks and with that so does Indiana Colony!

Such a super cute market that boasts coffee, juice, snacks and most importantly free wifi with plenty of weekday seating. I came here to work for several hours (until the battery on my laptop ran out) and had a great experience. The space is pretty large but not massive. It's chill, quiet, and had surprisingly few people in on a Monday afternoon. On top of being a great working destination, it also seems like a great spot to meet people. While here we met a student from CalTech who was photographing the eclipse and he offered to take our pics and turns out he's a real champ photog because I could probably use them as a headshot they're so nice. Interesting place, interesting people. No alcohol served here but maybe someday they'll have a happy hour place or something.

After a long day of window shopping on Colorado Blvd, nothing beats a little visit to Indiana Colony! It'd be insulting to call this place a food court, so let's say a collection of ~6 gourmet stores, with notable places such as the Pie Hole and CoolHaus all located in one big spot. Even though the industrial design makes this place feel kind of sterile, the spaciousness and relaxed atmosphere is definitely welcoming to small families, pets, and kids on leashes. And I really like how the stores complement each other because you can get some pie here, look at succulents there, eat some ice cream there, etc. Mmmmm ice cream.... Fun fact: The building, considered one of the oldest in Pasadena, takes its namesake from a group of Indiana residents who originally settled in Old Town.

A great little space with some cute, trendy businesses inside! The lighting is a bit dim, and the spacing of the vendors is a little strange, but it's still a great place to be. I love that you can get so many yummy goodies all at once :) It's a versatile area with ample space and seating and has a really fun vibe on weekend nights.

Aside from the fact that it is a very nicely renovated building dating back to 1904, the Indiana Colony Marketplace houses COOLHAUS........ that's enough for me. Some of the BEST ice cream, amazing flavors and taste to match..... and let's not forget the sensationally soft and tasty cookies they offer to make THE BEST ice cream sandwiches ON THIS EARTH. Oooooohhhhhh yaaaaaaaah. Then, if flowers be your thing, a lovely little floral shop as you enter the premises. Some beautiful flowers and arrangements, quite honestly. Towards the back, there is a tea and spice shop with some wonderful fragrances to inhale..... and buy. I was there just to look and ended up buying some herbs/spices because they smelled so good. There's a Pie Hole there, but I haven't availed myself to their sweets...... got too side-tracked with Coolhaus and darn glad I did. Check this place out.... plenty of seating where you can eat your ice cream or pie.

Ahhhh Indiana Colony, I love you so. With pie, juice, ice cream, succulents and coffee all an arms length away why would you go work anywhere else? Definitely a favorite of mine for sitting down and getting some work done. It is a very open atmosphere with industrial furniture but feels like a community all coming together. Check it out when you're in Old Town Pasadena!

This is a very interesting location with a number of small businesses inside which are all memorable in their own ways. My favorite of the bunch is Coolhaus, which makes unique ice cream blends such as Dad's secret stash, cocktail themed ice creams like Makers Mark Manhattan, and even lactose free options like Dark Chocolate Sorbet and Vanilla Pear Sorbet, for those of us who are lactose intolerant. You may have seen Coolhaus packed ice cream sandwiches in ritzy stores like Whole Foods - here they can make any combination you like, even a triple decker ice cream sandwich using two scoops of ice cream and three cookies. I'd like to try the "Pie Hole" which is also inside the Indiana Colony but I haven't gotten around to it yet. They have some interesting pie slice choices, which interestingly are all different prices. Finally, there's a juice bar in here and a store that sells interesting plants. My neighbor picked up an exotic flower in a pot from here last week. All in all, an interesting little set of stores to come visit.

I can't imagine you need anything more than pie and coffee, juice, spices, and flowers. I love this place.

An all-natural ice cream shop, cold-pressed juice, pie & coffee, tea & spices, and a floral shop all in one. Customer service at each venue is great and love supporting small businesses. No matter the weather you can always find something here to enjoy as a delightful snack.
