Indian Food if you're feeling that!

Google
Haven’t had Indian food for a while so decided to give this place a go and it was an outstanding experience! Comfortable, relaxing surroundings, excellent service and delicious food make this a must visit place! Food choices were Navarattan korma, Tikka masala (medium spiced), Naan bread. Onion Bhaji (lots came in one order) and Samosas to start. I highly recommend Indias restaurant!

Google
Absolutely the best Indian restaurant in Denver and one of our all time favorite restaurants in general! I grew up going and now I bring my kids (4 and 6) all the time. They beg us to take them and both of them insist on India's for their birthday dinners every year. Even though we now live 30+ minutes away we still regularly make the drive. We have reluctantly tried the recommendations of friends for most other Indian places in town and none of them come close to comparison. I'll do yourself a favor! You won't regret it!

Google
We had take out tonight. Been going here for years. The chef has the perfect touch tonight. The best Indian food I have ever tasted. Outstanding!!! Thank you for making our night so enjoyable India’s.

Steve Pierce

Google
The lunch buffet was good but not excellent. The chicken was "dry" in both the Tiki Masala and the chicken curry. Probably because of being in buffet trays for long periods. I'm sure when the trays came fresh out of the kitchen that was not the case.

Jesse Rockwell

Google
The Chicken Tikka Masala was incredible! As well as all of their Naan stuffed with potatoes was to die for! We inquired about their Mango Lassi and he gave us one for free to try! We have currently been back several times! Absolutely worth every penny this place is great!

Google
I am willing to elaborate on my 2-star review as requested, but it is not good.... First, the food. I stopped in for the lunch buffet to find surprisingly few choices on the buffet, all of which were marginally flavorful--just short of bland. There were one curry (chicken), one tikka (chicken), saag paneer, mixed vegetables, and tandoori chicken. That was it. The naan was soggy and chewy, and the pakoras were floppy and chewy. Secondly, I became aware of the fact that management takes a portion (or all?) of the servers tips which is highly unethical and even illegal in cases. Third, the interior is poorly lit leaving it feeling dark and dingy. I am not the person who left (good choice on their part) and it is rude and presumptive to accuse or question someone like that. I had a menu. The fact that you detailed an additional upset customer speaks volumes to all reading this review. In retrospect, a 1-star rating is likely more accurate, but the server (only) was polite. I rounded up to a 2-point review. Please, let me know if you would prefer additional descriptions or a change of the review to 1 star. Happy to do that.... Frankly, asking for additional feedback is not a smart move for a negative review. I always defer to the establishment to improve their problems, but in this case, I don't think there is any recognition of the issue with the owner sticking to the false perception that the food and service are great. I HIGHLY recommend a different Indian restaurant a bit further to the east on Hampden. For any doubting...check the attitude and rudeness this owner shows on social media and Google Maps, rudely insulting customers and arguing against the truth. This is why reviews are so important in today's world. Owner's Response: ...was wondering on what made you rate us 2? Are you the one who did not wait to be seated, sat yourself and then got mad at us since you did not have a menu! Got up and left in a huff- without giving us a chance to serve you.The sign,at the front clearly states " Please wait to be seated". Kris, owner.

Google
I love India’s . I first met Chris (the owner) in 1994 when India’s was in Tamarac Square. The food was fabulous then and still is today as

Google
Wonderful people serve here everyday. They have a great Indian buffet with 4 different curries and yogurt and desserts. Their Chai is the best Chai you could find in Denver. Very passionate and kind service, I wish I could come everyday. Going here on a Saturday wasn't very busy.

Yelp
We came for dinner on a Friday night and it was fairly busy but has plenty of seating. The ambiance is open but cozy, and the decor is beautiful inside. To start, we got a pineapple lassi and hot chai- both were wonderful. I would definitely recommend the pineapple lassi if you're looking for something sweet to drink. For food, we ordered the onion salad, spinach and cream soup, spicy chicken curry, and fish vindaloo. Last two we ordered medium spice and could have gone with hot. The dishes were all very flavorful without feeling too heavy! We will definitely be visiting again.

Yelp
This institution has been in 3 different locations. It has been winning awards since 1989 and for me and the fam bam have been coming here since that time. Truly the best Indian food period. We have moved away from Denver and come back for business and pleasure. And for many years have frozen the food and shipped it and or taken it with us on the plane home to the Republic of Texas. Family owned and operated. The chicken tikka masala, the saag, and the garlic naan are all epic. The ambience and the service with a smile is always appreciated. Keeps us coming back time and time again.

Yelp
Food was delicious! First time customer. Was a Thursday. They were very busy with take out orders. Note to self though next time we will not order drinks. Took about 25 minutes to get a drink. Our waiter didn't come back to take our order because the drinks were not ready. Once we placed our order it was great. Many people helped the waiter and they were fantastic. There looked to be only one waiter though as the other gentleman was handling the take out. If you go just be patient. It's worth it. I will definitely be back. Garlic Naan!

Kari E.

Yelp
The food tonight was excellent! The garlic naan and my butter chicken were s ome of the best I've ever had. The service was also excellent. My only complaint is that the portions of rice are laughably small, probably 1/4 of the appropriate amount to accompany the entree. Give us more rice to go with your perfect food.

Yelp
This restaurant was highly recommended by a local radio personality so I finally had the opportunity to visit. First off the Indian decor is beautiful! White table clothes and round tables were so inviting. I also liked the stainless steel table settings. Very unique and different. The food experience was very good and they had La Marca Prosecco; my favorite! In addition to being a beautiful place, it was "very" clean! Almost sparkling! Met the owner and he was so pleasant. Our server was very good and I would highly recommend for a wonderful dining experience. Would be great for date night or special occasion. Only one fault or question - couldn't find on Open Table to make a reservation?? With the beautiful web-site they have, and no Open Table, that needs to change.

Yelp
I recently discovered I like Indian food. Unfortunately, I allowed other peoples opinions keep me from trying it. Thankfully I don't listen very well. Except to Ross on koa when he said just try it it's really great. I can't believe it's been walking distance for 15 years. I've been twice now with my wife and plan to take a friend there this Friday. The staff were so kind in navigating our experience as newcomers to the food. They were careful to listen to our heat preferences. Both times dialed in perfect. We like spicy Mexican food but Indian food is another kind of heat. They can keep it mild or get real authentic if you are born one with the flame. We have had the coconut chicken and the more traditional curry chicken, the dish with the braised lamb was also equally amazing. I could just eat a huge bowl of their rice as an entree. The samosas were fire. Dinner is meant to be experienced here. Meals from scratch. Come sit with the your family and friends and let the time slow down for just a little while. The owner stopped by with a complimentary swill of grand marnier on our second visit. It just pulled all the subtle flavors back into your palate and then cleansed it with a sweet "I'll be seeing you soon" vibe. Ahhhh! Namaste!

Yelp
Best India food this side of Toronto. Lovely dining room. The wait staff is polite and friendly. Accomplished bartender

Yelp
Went there on a Thursday at 5:30PM. The restaurant was quiet, but the takeout area was hopping! The servers were kind, friendly, and very knowledgeable. The appetizers were quick and delicious. Our entrees were amazing. Loved every single thing we ate. Quiet and pleasant atmosphere, this is a great place for a date or a family dinner. Prices are reasonable. We will definitely be back.

Beth B.

Yelp
Consistently excellent food. Flavorful sauces. Be sure to tell server, if like me, you do not eat cilantro as it appears in many dishes and in some of the naan selections.
google avatar

Art G.

Yelp
I've had several dishes here and they have all been excellent. The interior is beautifully decorated and comfortable, and the service is great. I will be coming back!

Yelp
The food is so delicious you cannot go wrong. Service was impeccable. Ambience is beautiful. I highly recommend if you like Indian Cuisine. And even if you don't you will like this restaurant.

Yelp
What a cute place to stumble upon within Denver. We don't adventure out to much as a family all the time but this was a fun experience to have enjoyed for a Welcome Spring day with your religion community. They had a buffet all set up and well organized for us in their banquet room, so it was great they could accommodate a decent size party in a private room. The food was wonderful! They had everything plus more I could imagine. I will say this, spice doesn't bother me and their food was much better spiced then other Indian Restaurants. While my husband & I loved it, my kids not so much, they don't even like pepper on top of their meals or garlic while my husband & I love it on so many things. While it is a far trip from where I live if I was nearby I would check it out again. It seems to very family owned with wonderful kind staff there to greet and serve you. They were very quick to pick up after us when we finished a meal and ensure each time someone came up to get more food they used a new plate. My favorite dish here was the dal, while I can make it myself, they by far knock out out of the park for more vibrant flavor and taste! Oh and don't forget the Nan, oh man, you always have to have Nan with your meal if you are enjoying some good ol Indian food.
google avatar

Victoria B.

Yelp
Takeout dinner delivered after holiday swim. The rice was so beautiful and flavorful that I went back for more, then more again. If even the rice receives such attention from the chefs, how wonderful must the entrees be? (Hint: VERY wonderful!). No photos, because we were all too hungry (and I forgot). This is the best Indian meal I've ever enjoyed, from the naan to the lamb samosas to the amazing creamy saag paneer. Did I mention the rice?

Yelp
DELICIOUS, AUTHENTIC Indian food! Smells just like my friend's house (in Europe) when you walk in. YUM! Family and Colorado owned. Has been in 3 locations over the years (Tamarac Square, Tiffany Plaza, now stand alone building.) They finally own their own building. So will be permanent location! Kind people. When they say Medium--it will still be VERY spicy! But the seasoning is DELICIOUS! The lamb vindaloo is AMAZING! Chicken Tikka and Masalaa are hits, too. Vegetarian, vegan, omnivore--they've got it! Buffet available at lunch.
google avatar

Brad B.

Yelp
Stopped in for a family meal on Sunday night and what a treat India's is. From the warm welcome and warm chai tea, this place is a hit. I got the Lamb Vindaloo (medium spicy) and it was absolutely perfect. Very good portion size as well!! We ordered every kind on Naan on the menu and after trying them all, I was not disappointed. Highly recommend checking this place out for a great authentic Indian food experience!!
google avatar

Charles B.

Yelp
Another one of my favorite Indian restaurants in Aurora. This one is the only place you'll find samosas with lamb, and if you ask me, that's worth a visit alone. But also, they've got great standard dishes too. Can't go wrong with the biryani, saag paneer, or chicken tandori.
google avatar

Grecia P.

Yelp
Good spot for Indian food! The service is great and very attentive. I had the chicken vindaloo and it was perfectly cooked and had the perfect amount of spicy kick to it. The location is pretty big for groups, has nice decor, and is very clean all around.

Mary B.

Yelp
The lunch buffet is delicious and the service is excellent. Also they have a wonderful selection of teas which can all be served hot or cold.
google avatar

David K.

Yelp
I was so confident on how good the food was that I decided to go back the next day to order the same thing. It was a disappointment, I asked for spicy and it came out not spicy at all. The chicken tasted hard and not fresh. There was a lot of inconsistency compared to the day before. My plate was taken back to the chef to make it spicy but when it came back it was too spicy and just blah with hard unfresh chicken.

Yelp
I've been living a half mile from the oldest Indian restaurant in Denver for the last 10 months and I'm just now getting the chance to try it! I can definitely see why this place has stood the test of time and received so much praise because it is GOOD! I will warn you though, they do not play around with their spices. I had the Bengan Bahrta (grilled eggplant w/ peas and potatoes) with medium spice and it was tough to eat. I have a pretty decent tolerance for spicy food too. I would highly recommend going mild unless you really like heat! They have a huge menu and lots of vegetarian options! Most can be made vegan as well, and you can get just about every combination of veggies and spices you could expect to see at an Indian place. The decor is very fancy and clean. I would say it's semi-casual but you would not want to wear athletic clothes or sweatpants here. It is a very nice place and the service is fantastic as well. The prices are pretty crazy though in my opinion... My meal was $15 but we did get a good helping of tasty rice and some sauces that we didn't expect to have either. The lunch buffet, however, is only about $12 dollars. Can't wait to try that!

Yelp
Great people customer service is always warming and welcoming beat Indian restaurant award is well deserved

Yelp
the food was absolutely delicious you can tell they are using traditional spices and flavours and we were very very very happy with our meal and the restaurant itself is beautiful inside

Shirvahna G.

Yelp
What happened to the food and service at this restaurant? My family and I had dinner this weekend. We waited 20 mins to get water. We ordered the appetizer "Hors d'oeuvres" and received an over fried basket of cauliflower. Dinner was chicken this masala (which was decent) and the grill plate. Most of the meat of the Grilled plate was charred and uneatable. We got 1 shrimp, 3 piece of chicken and 2 pieces of an unidentified meat. Overall, the food and experience was a total disappointment.
google avatar

Kaity K.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing Indian food! Everything was so flavorful and delicious. I really recommend the aloo gobi, saag paneer, and chana masala - it was literally so delicious and we had plenty leftover to save for tomorrow. Also the garlic naan is the best I've ever had! You have to get some to have with your mains, you won't regret it The service was also outstanding and the staff made sure we had plenty of water to drink and we were satisfied with our food. Also very speedy service and just very friendly overall. Can't wait to come back here!

Leigh S.

Yelp
Best Indian food in the entire metro area. Service is attentive. Ambiance is authentic Indian decor and refreshingly quiet.

David K.

Yelp
Great food, great amibience, good service! The flavors are amazing. Best Indian food tn Denver.

Nick C.

Yelp
Been my family's go-to spot for Indian food for almost 20 years. Best Indian restaurant in Denver, and is run by incredibly kind folks.

Brian D.

Yelp
Terrific service! Very friendly staff. Very knowledgeable and helpful with choosing food options. And the food is amazing. Highly recommend the garlic naan and saag paneer, which is no surprise if you've eaten Indian food even once. #32 is fantastic too, but I forgot the name. Navartan korma I believe. Delicious. Top recommendation. Filling too, which is an accomplishment when Brian's in the house.

Shannon T.

Yelp
If you are a female and they don't get your order correct. If you go back in to get what you paid for, they will treat you like they treat the females in their culture. They will look at you like, "this girl shouldn't be talking" and kick you out of their restaurant. Females, do not go to this place without a male. Cause they'll treat you like shit and kick you out.

Jared S.

Yelp
this place suck.... everytime i go to pick up an order its never ready. also some dumb excuse.

Yelp
We have been eating at Indias for many years and through their three moves. It has always been a great place to dine and the menu is broad enough to accommodate a wide variety of tastes and diets. We had not been there in at least 18 months due to Covid. We had a houseguest last week who enjoys good food. We took him there and we were not disappointed. Great waiter with a wonderful sense of humor. Every dish we ordered to share was excellent and just as we had remembered. We are grateful that restaurants like India's have survived the pandemic and have not cut down on the menu offerings. It was extremely safe since the room is so large and no one was seated close to us. The staff continues to wear masks and we are very grateful for that. We are taking no risks with Covid exposure. Will be back soon.
google avatar

Stephen R.

Yelp
This place is a family staple for us. We have loved it for years. Young to old, we all love it.

Jenny K.

Yelp
I've been going to India's for over 20 years and it is consistently fabulous. The food and service are truly wonderful.
google avatar

Rebekah F.

Yelp
This was my first restaurant experience since the Covid19 restrictions have eased up, and I'm so glad we picked India's for our coming out celebration! The owner greeted us when we entered and directed us through a rope partition separating the pick-up customers from the in house diners. It is a simple modification that goes a long way to minimize contact with other customers, but it immediately brought to mind all of the planning that has gone on behind the scenes for restaurant owners to get ready to reopen. The two of us had our usual 1) Samosa appetizer 2) Saag Paneer (spicy the way I love it!) 3) Butter Chicken (my friend's favorite go-to entree at India's) 4) 2 rounds of Conundrum white wine. The food, service, and atmosphere were excellent as usual!

Hav B.

Yelp
The food is the best indian food around Denver, their server from Nepal is such funny guy he always get us a great service, the owner Criss is very respectful person, and very clean place, the only problem to go and eat there is that, one's you eat there you wont want to eat in another India Resturant!!
google avatar

Digital B.

Yelp
We were told that this is one of the best Indian restaurants in the area and that is no lie. Service is amazing, food is amazing, prices are reasonable. I don't live in the area, so I've never done take out or delivery, so everything is based on one visit. We will return here for future visits as we thought it was a very good experience.

Yelp
My first trip to India's Restaurant at their new location. The place is bigger from their original location. If I could recall properly, the first time I was @ India's Restaurant at their old location was in Dec 2007. Unfortunately, I could not recall what I ordered while I was there to begin with. So since they move to this new location here is my review on India's Restaurant. Certain of the dishes are OK for my taste bud. Yet some of the dishes they offer were such a disappointment. My gurl fren and I went here for an early dinner sometime back on September 28th 2009. If I were to recall correctly, these are what we ordered for that evening : * Shahi Bhajia which are crisp deep-fried vegetable fritters. These are OK for my taste bud. * Kanda Paratha is onion and garlic bread. This dish was pretty decent. * Murg Kebab ~ Spicy grilled chicken wings. I opt for this dish to be in a hot tomato sauce. I request it for EXTRA EXTRA HOT, SPICY HOT. I like this dish the best! * Akbar Boti ~ Tandoori lamb and shrimp cooked in a special sauce with bell peppers and herbs. For this dish, is my second best. As per norm I opt for EXTRA spicy too. * Mushroom Curry ~ A delicately spiced mix of Mushrooms, Peas and Potatoes. This is the dish my gurl fren had. She likes what she ordered for that evening and its one of her favorite dish to order whenever she comes to India's Restaurant. For beverages, I opt for Mango Lassi. The appetizers came promptly, but it took a while for our main entrees to come to our table. By the time we finish our dinner many more patrons were dining away in this restaurant. I ordered Lamb Biryani to take home for Hubs to try. For this dish, its a LET DOWN BIG TIME! Meaning MAJOR disppointment. Its so freaking BLAND! EcK! I might want to return perhaps order something different or perhaps on the day we were there, they have a BAD HAIR day or something. I do hope my review will differ. We shall see... Yelp
This is and has been my favorite Indian restaurant anywhere in the US. Don't live in Denver any longer, but was in town for one night and it was a no brainer where I wanted to have dinner. Chris and his family have a wonderful restaurant. When we lived in Denver and came often we were given such good service. Knowing I'll only be there once or twice a year now he still provides excellent service and has never not visited our table to check in.
google avatar

Saravanan R.

Yelp
One of those old Indian Restaurants focused on serving mild to medium spiced food to American customers. Had their lunch buffet, nothing special for vegetarians. Even their choice of food in the buffet was no spice dishes(in the sense, they are meant to not have chili hot spice) Veggie dishes in the buffet, $10 Dal Saag paneer Cabbage-Potato Saffron colored basmati rice Onion pakora Jelebi- dessert No Indian customers, I was the only one. But the place was almost full with American folks. Their regular/dinner menu looks good, a bit on the expensive side. The place is big, spacious and looks neat; have a banquet hall and a full bar. There is enough parking space too. ---------- Kris- Although, the lunch buffet seems so lavish for $10, my point is, it is still not attractive to Indians! Which could be the reason why I was the only Indian(my first time) in the restaurant for an hour or so that I spent at the restaurant. Haha, "who did I expect to see in a restaurant in the US?" Really?? Are you living in Denver or what?? Maybe if you had cared to take feedback and try new things(in this case old authentic Indian food with some spices and not the new Americanized mild spice dishes) there may have been more Indian customers at your Lavish Lunch Buffet. And don't be offended, I just tried your lunch buffet and wasn't excited to come back. And your dinner menu prices weren't very inviting either. And, You want to give me some hot sauce to spice it up?? It is not going to help. You have forgotten the Indian ways Kris. Good luck!

Yelp
They food was good, but I think overpriced. Maybe if we had dined in, I might be ok with the price. The interior is beautiful and peaceful, but we did pickup ahead and didn't realize how nice the place looked inside and we were wearing sweatpants I wouldn't have minded paying a lot for incredible food, but it was just good. My only other complaint was the cheese roti was tough and dry, but still tasted ok. Not the best Indian food I've had, but also not the worst. So good, but overpriced...at least for takeout anyway.

Natalie T.

Yelp
This is my favorite restaurant in Denver! The food is amazing as is the customer service. Thank you, India's!
google avatar

Amber S.

Yelp
I couldn't more highly recommend the Ticca Jehangir. It's my favorite meal to get here and I can't bring myself to get my other favorites anymore because it's so good. if you're looking for top notch service and food, I'd recommend India's Restaurant!
google avatar

Greg H.

Yelp
Picked up the 3 course combo dinner for 2 (for just me), fed me for 4 days! $55 total, lamb curry, lentil dish, and veggie curry, assorted appetizers, seasoned rice, 2 Naan, small salad, and 2 on bone chicken. Tons of food, plenty of food to feed 3 people at least or yourself for a few meals!
google avatar

Julianne H.

Yelp
The food was decent. My friends and I shared a few dishes: butter chicken, chicken tandoori, and chicken tikka masala. The chicken tandoori was quite dry. The butter chicken and chicken tikka masala were both supposed to be medium in terms of spice. The butter chicken was a medium. The chicken tikka masala ended up tasting mild. We didn't bother asking them to redo the chicken tikka masala because we had waited over an hour for the food to come out in the first place. Although service was really slow (in terms of getting our food, not for water refills), we ended up getting an appetizer on the house. I don't think I'll be coming back, mostly because it takes so long for food to come out. This is a comment to the owner. I was in a group of 4. If I had wanted to have mild tikka masala, I would have ordered from the express menu. Because I like to have some spice in my tikka masala, I ordered a medium spice tikka masala. However, it was disappointing because it was definitely not a medium. I feel like we were served the tikka masala from the express menu and not what we ordered

Yelp
India's is SO TASTY! Every meal we've had here has been delicious, whether dining in or taking out. Highly recommend!

Kyle M.

Yelp
I have been coming to India's for 30+ years. The quality and amount of food was diminished. The Tandoori chicken was dry and charred. The Saag paneer was of a lower quality. I hope it was just this night because I love to eat here.

Yelp
Delicious, muuuuy delicioso and the owner was very warm and welcoming. We came here on a recommendation from Mike Boyle, who is a huge foodie and radio talk show host. We live near Colorado Springs and will drive up again for the tasty buffet. Everything was fresh and cannot wait to go back with my whole family.

Sean S.

Yelp
Delicious, great service, comfortable atmosphere, good prices and a diverse menu. The lassi drinks are delicious, the curry is rich and flavorful and the stuffed bread I could happily eat by itself. I'm already looking forward to going again.

Ira P.

Yelp
The chicken was OK but should've used dark meat chicken instead. Chicken was a bit drier than expected.
