Stumbled upon this place while at dinner. The vibe in here is just so chill. I loved it! They have this big tree with lights on it in there and it's awesome! I got some tea, with the help of Cooper! He was very friendly. If I'm ever back in town I'll definitely be stopping by again!!!

This is a wonderful & welcoming book store & coffee bar. It's just down the street from my house. The espresso shots are fantastic! The staff surprised me with a birthday present. If I wasn't too mean to cry, I would have cried tears of joy. I have never felt such acceptance from a business before. This is a great place to order books. If there more stars to give, I would give them more. 100% best business in Lincoln Nebraska USA.

Google
Cute little bookshop with a coffee bar and amazing staff! We were there at close and had car problems, the staff was more than happy to help try to get us going again even though they had to stay after close on a Sunday! Thank you so much, we will be back to shop again soon.

Absolutely love the new space! Ordered a latte and it was excellent. Easy parking, clean space, fun stuff on the shelves, and cool neighborhood shops nearby. Go visit! 📚

Slingshot-listed. Good drinks. Free library section. Blind date book section. Zines and comics. Local art available. Inclusive space.

This is the most welcoming place I’ve ever shopped out. It’s like a one stop shop for good vibes. Comfy seating, plenty of books, OH- and the coffee is to die for!

Google
This store is amazing! Every time I come is like a brand new adventure. The staff are always friendly, the drinks are good (they have a rotating seasonal menu), and there is always something new on the featured table!

Best bookstore in both Omaha and Lincoln. I love that most of the books are written by authors who hold marginalized identities, there’s so much more to buy than just books, and the coffee shop is amazing. I’m moving to Omaha soon and will gladly make the hour drive to go back to Indigo Bridge!

Yelp
A spacious neighborhood coffee shop and bookstore. The coffee is amazing and they have unique flavors like lavender and rose syrups. I liked that the kids section has a small activity table and bean bag chair for my toddler to play and read. The back of the space has ample tables and a couch for anyone wanting to work or read. I had a rose latte and spent 45 mins relaxing and reading in the bright, airy space.

Yelp
My favorite things about Indigo bookstore is that it's inside an old building and right across an ice cream shop! When you walk inside the bookstore you see that they have their own mini Cafe and seating area to hang out! The bookstore is intersectional and they support the LGBTQ+ community and have created a safe space for the overall community as well. I love that their book sections are labeled by the genre. One topic that I saw was about community activism and books in different languages. They have a children's reading area with a giant tree which I thought was welcoming and fun. They have a piano that anyone can use and play a tune and pins/stickers/bookmarks made by local artists that you can buy.

Yelp
I absolutely loved the environment, and everything inside. It felt like such a safe place, and the owner was beyond sweet and caring.

Yelp
How can I not five stars Indigo Bridge Books and Cafe?! Pop in and explore all the books and wide variety of selections. And then grab a homemade waffle cone with ice cream at Ivanna Cone right next door afterwards! It's actually pretty big for an indie bookstore, and a different layout from others I've been in. Gold stars for everyone!

Yelp
If I ever need an excuse to come back to Lincoln, Nebraska, Indigo Bridge will be at the TOP of that list! We were in Lincoln over Thanksgiving (yikes for extended family!)- and I am SOOOOO very glad to have stumbled upon Indigo Bridge. My heart sings for the small, locally-owned book shop. Absolutely adorable, and so homey! Their staff is welcoming, warm, and helpful in that no-overly-pushy way. I could have easily spent a whole afternoon here- and it helps that there's a cute coffee shop inside. (Mmmmm that warm butterbeer!) I lucked out and came on Small Business Saturday- and you bet I was more than happy to support them on this perfect holiday. Got some holiday gifts, cards, and postcards. It's indie book shops like Indigo Bridge that inspire a new generation- pulling us away from our phones to get immersed into a good book and wander the shelves of a real book store again. Thanks Indigo Bridge!

Yelp
What an adorable bookstore. The staff was really friendly. The coffee shop within the bookstore looked lovely, and the woman behind the counter there was also extremely friendly. They have a number of fun gift items and little knickknacks. Love all the stuff for people who like to journal, dabble in some doodling, and cards and other stuff.

Jessica S.

Yelp
I've always loved this place and keep finding more and more reasons why. First, the location. The old rickety wood floors, the wood paneled walls, the smell of neighboring Ivanna Cone mixing with the fresh brewed coffee. But also Indigo Bridge is more than books, it's a place to meander, play (love the children's area and book days), relax, enjoy treats, and even study or work. It's one of those places that just feels open and welcome and like you can do your thing and not be harassed and it's just a place to be and I love that. I also love that Indigo Bridge and many of its employees are so socially minded, working with non-profits and other local businesses. Another wonderful and fairly recent reason to ad Indigo Bridge as a place to visit is the food! A new menu of sandwiches and warm bowls of pasta go well with the coffees, teas and juices available for purchase. I recently found myself working out of one of the quaint little 'library' looking rooms and enjoyed a strawberry mint tea and a fabulous mac n cheese ham grilled cheese. It was delicious!

Yelp
Love this place for the coffee, books the service. Coming from California this place is a breath of fresh air. Nebraska owned and operated.

Trina H.

Yelp
Awesome small bookstore in Lincoln. Had a great time perusing books and even bought a couple. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and I will definitely come back!

Tess M.

Yelp
The employees are so friendly here! I love the relaxed and inviting atmosphere of the store. Plus, my coffee was prepared exactly how I wanted it... and it was delicious!

Alek Z.

Yelp
This is a nice little bit of local flavor, kinda like the hipster version of Barnes & Noble. They've got a decent selection of newly minted books, but nothing as vast as you'd find at a larger national chain. They have their books organized appropriately and it's easy to find what you're looking for. I bought a copy of "World War Z" (which is freakin' awesome, by the way) and it cost me like 15 bucks. There's also a coffee bar in there, though I haven't had their brews yet. I've heard they're good though. The staff seem to be very knowledgeable and friendly.

Dave F.

Yelp
Absolutely awesome independent bookstore, one of the best I've ever been to, and the Creamery location just adds to its level of coolness. Not huge, but tons of books of the type I like to read (and browse). I can't stand Barnes 'n Noble or Amazon, I like little bookstores with attitude like this. There used to be a bookstore or two like this in all major cities, now forget it--but this is a gem in li'l ole Lincoln.

Abbie F.

Yelp
For such a small business, the book selection was great. Modern and relevant literature, plus fun little items. The coffee was delicious. The honey cinnamon latte was spot on.

Judy T.

Yelp
The coffee is good but beware if you talk with the baristas and compliment them on their tattoos or ask them any questions about the tattoos you will get barred for the establishment.

Leila A.

Yelp
Absolutely out of this world bookstore!! AMAZING staff! Great in-store selection, but they were super helpful and willing to order anything I wanted that they didn't have. Once ordered, I received my books extremely quick. The cafe is very cute and has some tasty drinks. I especially love this location for a stop during the Farmers Markets! It's just a beautiful and cozy spot in The Haymarket! Definitely recommend.

Ali L.

Yelp
Best independent bookstore that I've ever been to. Plus, I know the owners, and they are some of the sweetest people you'll meet. Really caring, good hearted people. This bookstore hosts an array of community events, and is dedicated to making Lincoln the best city it can be, hosting kids story telling events to artist displays to selling a local pastry chefs organic creations. The Cultiva Coffee is delicious too. Indigo Bridge holds a special place in my heart, and even though I have left town, I frequent it whenever I come to Lincoln to visit. Support this gem!

Yelp
I had no idea about Indigo Bridge until earlier this summer when the Farmer's Market started! I don't get downtown very often otherwise. The reviews are amazing and I've been looking for a good alternative to purchasing books at the big retail chains (I'm sort of boycotting BN...). Anyway, I hadn't made it in yet but when Groupon offered an amazing deal, I snatched it up and decided to pay Indigo Bridge a visit this past weekend. I'm so angry at myself for not going in sooner. What an amazing and cozy and AWESOME little independent bookseller! Obviously, their variety of books isn't as large as the bigger bookstores, but they had the book I was looking for, so I didn't mind! The booksellers themselves were amazingly helpful. And so eager to help - which is very much welcome. I forgot to bring my printed out Groupon with me, but that didn't matter to them! They told me I could pull it up on my iPod Touch and they'd accept it. And when I couldn't get connected to their wifi, they went the next step with me and let me pull the Groupon up on their computer! Most places would tell you "too bad - no Groupon, no book!" The coffee bar was pretty awesome too. They lost a star because the barista was a little spacey and didn't really know what was going on with anything. He handed me my coffee cup and just assumed I knew what to do next (unfortunately, I didn't and couldn't see the coffee carafes because they were blocked). Compared to the helpfulness of the booksellers, I had expected a little bit more service from the baristas, too. The coffee, however, was excellent! Very smooth and yummy! I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Excellent bookstore-- great ambiance, tasteful and laid-back atmosphere, and respectable book selection. They even have a little reading/play area for kids, strategically placed an ample distance from the coffee bar/grown-up reading areas. What impressed me most, however, was the aforementioned coffee bar. They serve Cultiva coffee (see my rave about them for further information), and their great taste in suppliers trickles down into the cup. I found the baristas--and all of the staff, for that matter-- to be friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. My only regret is their location, as I live in Omaha.

Yelp
We love story and craft time. It's a great time for mom to grab a latte and relax while the kiddo has fun with stories and crafts. Afterwards we go to the main seating area and play board games. The children's area is lovely, the whole store is just a pleasant place to wonder around in, or sit down and relax in, and the Saturday morning staff is fantastic.

Anastasia B.

Yelp
I don't know anybody that does not love this bookstore. You are guaranteed to find something about this store that will make you smile. On certain days they have community lunches where they serve soup and you can enjoy some nice conversation with fellow book lovers. Free will donations are accepted to cover the cost of the soup.

Yelp
The Indigo Bridge Bookstore is brand-spanking new, and has officially become one of my favorite places in Lincoln. The ambiance is totally relaxing, mixing a combination of industrial design together with honoring the building's historical detail, and adding in custom art pieces (like the life-size tree) to flesh-out the space. They have a great kid-friendly store, complete with a bi-lingual story hour on Saturday mornings. They have also provided an awesome venue for Cultiva coffee in the new Indigo Cafe, so you can get top-notch espresso while your kids enjoy educational entertainment. All in all, Indigo is a fabulous addition to the Haymarket collection of shops and is a great opportunity to support two local visionary entrepreneurs!

Yelp
When you walk into Indigo Bridge, it's overwhelming to the senses. In fact, it's almost confusing -- but in a sensory overload goodness kind of way. There are tables and bobbles to your right, a cafe and more tables to the front, and to the left are lots of nifty tchotchkes and further on books and games galore. The store just keeps on going. I found some curious and peculiar reads here, and the great thing is that if you nab a book, you are likely grabbing the only copy (something about that makes one feel ... elite). There's just something cozy about this store. It's unique, and it reflects this in the variety of books, jewelry, games, and nifty gadgets and gidgets.

Susie M.

Yelp
I agree with Charles G. on this one -- my only beef with this place is it's too far away! Granted, that's my fault. I was very fortunately taken to this awesome place yesterday by my boyfriend, and I can't wait to go back. I was impressed by the selection of books, and delighted that they carry not only some Chronicle Books items [which I love], but also some more independent stationary lines. The layout of the store is cozy and conducive with all my favorite qualities of a bookstore/coffee shop combo...unlike the larger chains, it sports private rooms for studying, chatting...I can't wait to go back to visit on my next trip to Lincoln. And I'm going to make sure that's very soon.

Yelp
I love this free style cozy place. Drink, Books, piano, street view.. I like ordering 32oz tea. I feel like i want to steel the tea cup and a pot. I just ordered same tea pot at amazon.com.

Kame N.

Yelp
Locally owned bookstore with a heart. Great coffee, fun gifts to buy, quaint atmosphere and of course lots of books. This store helps spread kindness through its public outreach. I love to support this bookstore as it supports our community. Great place to relax, unwind and restore.

Joe L.

Yelp
THE best coffee shop in town. They have Cultiva coffee which is the best I've had in Lincoln (the coffee house is nice if I'm in the mood to swim through the crowds of hipsters and college students), it's quiet, and clean. I could easily spend all my afternoons here. Nebraska Food also delivers here, and if you're an Open Harvest member, you get 10% off! Having been to 98% of the coffee shops in Lincoln, don't miss this one.

Cait W.

Yelp
I love Indigo! Not only do they serve Cultiva Coffee, but now that Pepe's is there is a ultimate favorite of mine. When not eating, I like going there to read and drink a coffee. I only usually get a drip, but it is always hot, and staff is usually very polite. There have been a few times that they seem understaffed, but sometimes that just can't be helped.

Skylar R.

Yelp
Oh yeah. Their atmosphere is alright. Coffee is overpriced. But props for making the worst iced chai I've ever had.

Brittany S.

Yelp
BEST BOOKSTORE IN TOWN!! I love Indigo Bridge. The atmosphere is relaxing, books are well stocked, employees are always very helpful. This is one of my favorite places in town.

Johnson Q.

Yelp
Stopped here on a whim on a trip across America. We were looking for some on road entertainment, and this place was listed with something we wanted. Not ranked as a great place, no recommendations, just a bookstore with stuff. We gave it a shot, found some parking, and stepped in. I almost wanted to stop traveling. It was an amazingly calm bookstore, might have been a slow morning, but that added to the atmosphere. I looked around at a few books, but spent more time looking at all the unique decor, and the amazing number of hidey spaces that one could sit down, read a book, converse and socialize, or just watch out the window. Sadly I couldn't stay long. I decided to get a latte. Not a over topped mocha hazelnut frappe shot in the face, just a nice mellow drink so that I could continue to lie to myself that I am a coffee connoisseur, and appreciate the delicacies of a fine drink. Well that's exactly what I got, a perfectly balanced drink with amazing coffee flavor singing to my taste buds. I almost wanted to buy a gallon of the stuff for my trip to Chicago and beyond. I'm looking forward to the next time I drive through Nebraska just so I can stop at this place.

Neala B.

Yelp
Coffee! That's what we wanted! And what we found at the cafe inside Indigo Bridge Bookstore which is in the old creamery building in the Haymarket area. We sat in a beautiful wood paneled room and enjoyed a cup of coffee for him and a decaf iced latte for me. Great coffee hit the spot as did the friendly faces. A perfect respite from the afternoon heat.

Joel L.

Yelp
Indigo is my new favorite bookstore in town. The staff is very helpful and the store itself is a very, very nice place to be. The fact they have Cultiva coffee and a nice little cafe in the front just ads to the amount of time I'll have to spend there. Only problem is you'll have to deal with the normal haymarket stuff, parking and such,to get to Indigo.

Salmon P.

Yelp
OMG! The employees here are SO CUTE! I love them, even the boys (I am not gay, not that that matters). Love this place!

Sheila H.

Yelp
Not as much book selection in some areas as some other stores in town, but they more than make up for that by being one of the friendliest places I've ever set foot in. I love independent bookstores, and this is just one more great example of why. From the gorgeous tree that decorates the children's section to the delicious coffee smells permeating the entire space, you couldn't ask for a more peaceful place to browse for your next book, to do a bit of work, or to sit and drink coffee with friends.

Clark B.

Yelp
In the age of online book shopping, the only thing that can keep a business like this alive is flair, style and service. They have all three. I usually go for the coffee though. Their baristas male every drink by hand, and it can take a very long time. The result - totally worth the wait. The latté art alone makes it worthwhile.

Elaina M.

Yelp
On Saturdays they sell Cultiva coffee by the lb for $3 off! It gives me an excuse to stop in after I shop the farmer's market. Their selection of books is really decent and the atmosphere is bright and cheery. Plus it's in the deliciously smelling creamery building with lots of character.

Sandra G.

Yelp
best bookstore in town to get your vape on at! the only reason i didn't give this e-cig haven a fifth star is because they don't have any books about electronic vapes. will be back v soon

Emily C.

Yelp
The coffee is good and the baristas are usually nice. The food selection is limited. It's a decent place to do homework. No complaints.

Mary H.

Yelp
Love locally owned businesses and this one does so much public good. Sit down at the common table for soup with a purpose. All good will offerings go to a mission. I try to frequent the store as it is so much more than a book store - this store has a heart and a conscience. It is good for our community to have business with a soul. They have a good book assortment and will special order. Also check out there gift selection- fun and quirky items. Also you can get a good cup of coffee.

rob m.

Yelp
Excellent bookstore - obvious that a thoughtful person does the buying, wonderful eclectic collection. I love the addition of this bookstore to Lincoln - thanks very much! And serving Cultiva Coffee helps too :)
