Kayshauna our tour guide was great. All the food stops were very tasty. They could have been more spread out. We ate no breakfast, but I found myself too full to enjoy the later tastings. The walking was a good length and interesting cultural insights. All in all a great afternoon.

I loved the Boise River Urban Wine Trail tour with Indulge Boise! As a Boise local born and raised, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a food and wine tour in my own backyard, however the tour far exceeded my expectations. I was pleasantly surprised to be introduced to a few new wineries and restaurants I hadn’t visited before, and I even learned a few things about the area along the way. Angela, our tour guide, was fantastic, warm, knowledgeable, and engaging throughout the entire experience. It’s clear she’s passionate about both the local food scene and creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone. I’m already looking forward to checking out the other Indulge Boise tours. I highly recommend this experience to both locals and visitors.

I’ve never been to Boise Idaho before. I learned so much about the culture and the food was delicious! Bob was an excellent tour guide! 10/10 recommend this tour if you are traveling to Boise and want to learn more!

Google
Highly recommend this tour. Adan did a fantastic job showing us different areas of Boise on foot. We indulged in some of the cities best food and drinks. It was the best of everything.. educational, tasty, good walking and plenty of interesting sights to see.

Google
This tour was one of the best experiences we had in Boise! It was a thoughtful walking tour through downtown, with stops at four locally owned restaurants (96% of downtown businesses are!) and visits to public art spaces and parks. The food was incredible! Each stop offered a delicious variety of flavors, most paired with cocktails, and we got to hear the stories behind the restaurants and their menus. Everything felt elevated—even the sandwich shop served house-made rolls packed with unique sauces and gourmet flavors. It was fine dining you could eat with your hands. Dietary restrictions were even handled (unexpectedly) on the spot with creativity and care. Our guide was exceptional and deeply knowledgeable about Boise’s history, social and political culture, and how the city is navigating growth while working to preserve its local identity. As a group of women in advocacy and government, we really appreciated being able to engage in honest conversation about how the city works. I’ve already recommended this tour. It’s a must-do!

Google
We booked our tour for 8 adults; there were no “outsiders”. Our group consisted of 8 adults: 2 are visiting from North. Carolina; 6 of 8 are locals; 4 of the locals are return Indulge Boise tour customers. My hubby & I are locals & 1st timers for any kind of food tour. Tour Guide, Bob, greeted us with a great big smile & a twinkle in his eyes! Bob is fun, friendly, easy to talk with, kept our interests, ready for questions & LOVES being a guide & sharing Boise and/or Idaho history/stories and of course FOOD! Weather was perfect. Our food stops were ready upon our arrival. I loved the 2 wine varietals we were served (included) at 2 of the 3 food stops. A good time was had by all!

Google
A great option to explore the evolving heart of Boise. Angela and Henry our guides led us on a wonderful art and brunch tour of the evolving culinary and artist scene in downtown Boise. The food, education, and conversation with fellow food and art lovers was priceless. Highly recommend to any food lover visiting Boise or one who lives in or around Boise.

Google
Bob was a fantastic tour guide! Loved every moment. The history, sightseeing, and food stops were a nice combination - giving us a good feel for Boise. If you opt for alcohol included, the wine pairings were nice, too. I loved that he incorporated the Basque area and one of the Basque restaurants on the tour. Also, he tried to keep us cool as often as possible while temp was 107! Highly recommend! Oh, definitely try the blueberry ketchup!

Yelp
I want to give a 4.5 stars. Only taking away a star for paying for alcohol up charge and only receiving a strawberry mimosa and a cider drink of the 4 places we went. Olive- our host- 10/10. She's warm, welcoming, inviting and so damn smart. A wealth of knowledge. I want to be her friend. Stop one- lemon tree 5/5- will be back and recommended to friends and family. I tried a sandwich that I would never order on my own. And it was delicious. Sausage, pear, jam, figs, goat cheese and amazing local bread. Strawberry basil mimosa- so good. Stop two: bacon! Wow!! Incredible. Atmosphere, service. Awesome. The bacon shot jar tasting of their flavored bacons hit the spot. A piping hot bowl of their bacon Mac n cheese was the show stopper. Hot, ooey gooey, bacon, mushrooms, pasta, cheese and tomatoes hello! Finished with a beignet. No alcohol. Def coming back. Third stop: Sid's garage. Fun. Super Smokey smell- fire alarm was going off when we walked in. We had the flashed fried deviled eggs. To.die.for. I will say there was an issue with our order, and it was handled in front of us instead of taking it to the side. Ace pineapple cider provided. Finished at guru donuts- not a sweet fan but that salted caramel donut. Yum! Olive made the experience. Expected more drinks for the up charge.

Yelp
This is a terrific way to get to know the city and all of its fantastic restaurants. Bob was a fantastic tour guide, giving us history on the city, showing us the local art and just being all around entertaining. Looking forward to trying the brunch tour next.

Yelp
Absolutely loved our Indulge Boise Brunch & Art tour. We were celebrating my daughter's wedding and opted for a food tour and it was the best decision! Suzy was a fantastic tour guide and everything we tried at different locations was fantastic. Highly recommend Indulge Boise when looking for a food tour!

Yelp
A solid 4 star experience. Olive was our guide and she did a great job. However, there were moments you could definitely tell a script was being followed. I think this wouldn't have been as evident if there were others on our tour. I enjoyed the history and Freak Alley as well as the food. I tend to be a picky eater so I was amazed at how much I loved the sandwich at our first stop. Perfectly sweet and savory. And the strawberry basil mimosa was just the right addition. Their sandwiches were fun and I'd enjoy trying more options. The next stop was Bacon, where we had bacon shots along with bacon mac & cheese. We also had a beignet. I appreciated our server and you could tell he was genuinely glad that we were there. I was still full from stop 1 so I had the bacon shot and a portion of the bacon mac & cheese. I would absolutely go back just so I can explore more of their menu. Then we headed to Sid's Garage. This is where things went a bit weird for me personally. The food here was the flash fried deviled egg. I'm not a fan of deviled eggs but my friends LOVED these. I think this may have been a favorite stop of theirs. I really enjoyed the cider that we were given. There seemed to be an issue with our order and while Olive tried to step away to handle it, the manager brought it back to the table. It was a bit weird for this to be handled in front of the paying customers and kind of left an "eh" taste for the restaurant with me. Finished at Guru donuts, where the salted caramel was a group favorite. Overall, this was a good tour. This is the 3rd food tour I've done this year in different cities and I feel like it might be a bit overpriced compared to what was included in other cities - especially when it came to the drinks. Olive was a great guide and really made the experience worth it.

Yelp
All i can say is WOW! We had the distinct pleasure of taking the BoDo on the Greenbelt Savor and Sip Tour with Indulge Boise Food Tours yesterday!!! It was the best tour I've ever been on and I've toured around the world. Sooooo much food and the guides were thoughtful and educated on the downtown/city attractions! A multi-course savor and sip progressive dining experience designed to highlight diverse local cuisine in Boise's BoDo neighborhood. The tour was 2.5 hrs of culinary DELIGHT! Highly recommend 10/10

Yelp
The Boise Brunch and Art tour with Adan was so delicious and impressive! We came for a girls weekend never having been to Boise before and it was such a great way to explore the city and it was a great surprise to find out how amazing all of the food and pairings were. We enjoyed all of the knowledge and levity our guide Adan brought to each place. I would absolutely recommend this as a must do to anybody who loves food and wants to get to know Boise better.

Yelp
Having just moved to the Treasure Valley, we came across info regarding Indulge Boise and their food tours. We thought it might be a fun way to learn more about the place we now call home while checking out some local hangs for foodies. Tonight we had a Fantastic time on their "Greenbelt Savor & Sip" tour! We enjoyed amazing food & drinks while learning loads of Boise history along the way. We started out with delicious pizza and a Huckleberry/gin cocktail pairing at The Wylder, followed up by a stroll through Julia Davis Park, and the Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial Park, to learn about Boise's empowering black history and strong human rights advancements over the decades. Our next culinary adventure was a Smoked Piggy pulled pork sandwich with slaw topping on a ciabatta roll along side savory fries (prepared for us by the stellar chefs from Smoke & Thyme) paired with a brew of our choice--in which I selected the Irish Red Ale--all enjoyed at the White Dog Brewing Company. We then meandered through the Arts District and landed in The Warehouse Food Hall where we were treated to our final two cuisine experiences. We enjoyed a Gua Boa Pork Bun and Japanese Curry (sooooo good!) at Bao Boi and finally wrapped up our tasty evening with an ice cream and beer/wine pairing at The Stil. By the end of the event, we were totally full having experienced so many tasty goods AND made friends along the way! Thank you to Anne--our tour guide--and Indulge Boise's very own founder Angela Taylor for a fantastic and educational tour! We plan to book future tours with you in the upcoming months! #indulgeboise #the_wylder #smokeandthymeboise #whitedogbrewingboise #baoboibuns *ilovethestil

Yelp
This is a fantastic experience you don't want to miss while you're in downtown Boise. Such a great way to see and experience a city. Anna, our guide was a wealth of knowledge about the food and restaurants we went to, And also gave great stories and insights to the buildings the people in the community. It was my 1st foodie tour! I'm hooked and will be doing these in every city I visit!

Yelp
The following is a complaint I submitted to the BBB and got no response. My tour was cancelled in March 2020 due to Covid. I was issued a credit for a future tour. I recently requested to schedule a tour and was told they were not doing any tours at this time. I have email and called, many, many times with no response. I am requesting my money back for the tour tickets I purchased, as they are unable to accommodate me and I am not aware of any Covid 19 mandates restricting tours. Thank you.

Yelp
This was one of the coolest experiences I've had as a tourist. We came as a family to Boise for the first time and signed up for the tour knowing not what to expect. Well, it was amazing. Our guide, Bob, was knowledgeable and embracing, and over three hours he guided us around town from restaurant to restaurant. Each stop featured some amazing food, including the best bacon ever tasted (at "Bacon") and this chocolate that just melted on your tongue. The whole experience, truly, made our trip special. Would give 100 stars if I could.
google avatar

Meredith S.

Yelp
This is such a fun experience! Our guide Bob was knowledgeable and super helpful. We were Boise history buffs and stuffed to the gills with delicious food by the end. The tour took about 3.5 hours but we visited about 8 stops, from the Basque Block to an Olive Oil taproom and a Thai restaurant. I would recommend this experience to locals and tourists alike.

Yelp
Six of us went on this tour yesterday, lead by Robin Shrier. Robin was so great about telling about the restaurants, their history and the different food and drinks that are their specialities. All of the samplings at all of the restaurants were soooo good! Robin also shared a lot of the history of the buildings in Boise and their significance to Boise. Overall one of the best tours I have been on and Robin was great! I highly recommend this experience!! Lynn Savercool

Yelp
This is a MUST-DO if you are in Boise! Great tour. My family and I took the Saturday 1100 Historic Food tour. Michael was our tour guide. He did such a great job. I started the morning wanting to see if I could pay for something extra on my waffle. Michael kindly let me know that I should pace myself because we had a lot of stops to make. He knew what he was talking about! At the final stop, I was sooooooo full. OMG. You will get full and the food is delicious and a great variety! You have to take this tour!

Yelp
We received this tour as a holiday gift and were very excited to learn new places in Boise. The option we picked we chose because there was a cocktail pairing option at stop 3. Overall this was a disappointing experience, the first stop was Bodovino which had a nice ambiance and was the quality of restaurant we expected but following that we went to a a place with street food and then the cocktail pairing location was skipped for some reason even though the bar only had 2 people inside, this stop was instead substituted for a brewery where we were given an option of a beer, but I am not partial to beer and feel this was a subpar substitution. Overall I feel we paid $200 for a $50 experience and Boise has a much better variety of restaurants that could better showcase what the city has to offer than what was chosen for this tour.

Yelp
We have been on food tours all over the world and this one was pretty good for a small city. We did the Sunday Brunch tour and it was a group of maybe 12 or so people. The 2 tour guides did a great job of incorporating history into the tour as we walked and stopped in certain areas. It wasn't much walking and we went to 5 different places - all unique. They made sure everyone was provided water (it was hot) at all of the stops and that everyone got equal food. We were pretty impressed with the sample and quality of food and all of the portion sizes were very generous. We were full until dinner time.

Yelp
Wonderful food and way to familiarize yourself with Boise. Our guide had lots of fun facts and anecdotes about Boise and its history. We learned about the Basque community, great places to eat, surrounding cities, and Freak Alley is not to be missed. Thanks for a great time!

Yelp
Oh my gosh this is one of town best evenings I've had! This was well worth the price. The tour guide was so friendly and informative, and it felt comfortable from the first 5 minutes. The restaurants we visited were amazing and I will definitely be going back to each one. I learned a lot about Boise. The conversation just flowed nicely. It was like having an wonderful dinner and evening evening with friends. The price is perfect, worth every penny!

Yelp
Looked up to see if any food tours exist in Boise to entertain my visiting out-of-state brother and found Indulge Boise! I was not disappointed! Pros: The food, obviously! Having lived in Boise for 5+ years, I was expecting to go to some of the classic local spots that I had already experienced. However, I think I had only visited a couple out of the 8+ stops on the tour! Angela the tour guide was gracious and educational, and very professional. She has a great demeanor about her and a love for Boise local culture and food. She mixed well teaching about the local quirks and perks of Boise with the history of the downtown area. It was amazing and educational to hear the passion from each restaurant owner about their business and ideas and the genesis of how their business came to be. Cons: None I can think of! Do yourself a favor a take the Indulge Boise Food Tour! You won't regret opening yourself up to some amazing local food, meeting your community business owners, and dining with other foodies!

Yelp
The downtown food and culture tour was definitely a highlight of my trip. Our guide was Bob, and he was so knowledgeable and personable, it felt like I was hanging out with a group of friends while eating amazing food and learning about the city.

Yelp
We did the Sunday brunch tour to celebrate a girlfriends birthday. The 5 different restaurants all gave us a sampling and all were fantastic. We had another couple with us and it was so fun to get to know them and experience the food with them. The best part was our tour guide Angela, who made the tour informative and super fun. We will definitely do this tour and another of the Induldge Boise tours again!

Yelp
A must do!!! We had such a great time. The food was excellent and Angelas knowledge of all the restaurants and downtown Boise made the experience that much better. Would highly reccomend!

Yelp
OMG!!! Amazing. This was my first foodie tour and I loved every minute of it. Ate and drank some food I thought to never try. And let me tell you about them Shrimp and Grits @ Saint Lawrence Gridiron were mind blowing. And the poached egg topped it off. Tried the bloody Mary drink with a garnish with brisket on point. Plus having Ms. Angela as a tour guide was the icing on the cake. Very professional and knowledgeable about her beautiful City of Boise. Made me fall in love with all the different types of people and food. And be prepared to have her sit back and watch you eat. I tried and insisted for her to eat but nothing. This is her norm but she assured me she was OK. I would highly recommend this tour.
google avatar

Yelp
Our kids gave us this for a Christmas present and we loved it. It was so fun to be introduced to restaurants we knew nothing about, and being able to sample their foods was the best! We have plans to go back to all the places we visited!
google avatar

Meg F.

Yelp
This is a great way to spend the day with out of town guests! My sister and brother in law were here from California. We all learned so much about downtown Boise. Great food stops and knowledgeable, friendly tour guide Michael made it a wonderful afternoon. We will definitely recommend to locals and visitors!!
google avatar

Dawn H.

Yelp
Absolutely delightful way to sample the restaurants in Boise and learn about the owners and background of the locations. We did the Sunday Brunch tour and enjoyed the lovely walk in between the spots and seeing some local art as well. As newly relocated East Coast Foodies, this way a great way to try out new places and learn about their focus and menus. We will treat ourselves to this experience again!
google avatar

Danielle B.

Yelp
Our experience with indulge boise was phenomenal! Angela was a wealth of information about the area and the restaurants we visited. The restaurants and shops we visited were all new to us and will now be frequent stops for sure. In all, this was a fabulous way to celebrate my husband's birthday and we would recommend this tour to visitors and locals alike.

Kelly P.

Yelp
Excellent tour not only fantastic food but great historical tour as well. Michael was friendly, knowledgeable and paced the tour perfectly! PACE yourself ! If I were to do it again I would have only eaten part of the sampling to prevent being so over stuffed by the end. Also enjoyed the talks from the chefs or owners of the restaurants and the discounts! Would definitely recommend!

Kerry M.

Yelp
This is my first yelp review because I was blown away by this experience. I've grown up in Boise & work downtown, I came into the tour thinking I'd already seen the boise dt scene. It was so much fun though. There were a few places I had never been and even the ones that I had been it is was such a treat to be able to walk into a place, already have the drink and food picked and ready. There was no time wasted on the group looking at menus or awkward interactions with the server, no waiting around for checks. Our tour guide Michael made it so easy, he ushered us around leading us to the next stop making sure the next restaurant on our list knew we were coming. He was funny, full of insightful facts and was great at making it a fun experience for everyone in the group. I did the friday night happy hour tour with him. We went into four different stops & had an array of drinks & snacks. It was such a good time. Brunch tour was the best brunch experience. A ton of food. No waitlists or hassle. It's the secret to the best brunch experience in Boise. Why go to one restaurant & spend all your time there when you can go to a bunch of restaurants and try different foods. If you have family or friends in town I highly recommend signing up for a tour.

Radona L.

Yelp
What a great day in downtown Boise. Angela with the tour company was was amazing. We have lived in the Boise area, and she shared information about the area we didn't know. We met some really fun people from out of town, had some really really good food, and some new fun places to go when we go downtown.

Patti N.

Yelp
We did this tour with Evangel our tour guide. It ended up being a private tour because there was no one else in our group! Evangel was great and we had a blast learning about the culture and foods of Boise! It definitely is worth the price. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Great way to spend some time exploring downtown Boise! Excellent food choices and great information. A must-do for visitors or long-time residents! Be sure to come hungry!
google avatar

Austin R.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic experience with this food tour. I had no idea the full range of food available in Boise or the history that the city has. It was very interesting to get to see this side of the city. I really enjoyed all of the food on the tour as well! Angela was very nice, personable, and professional and did a great job keeping us interested in the tour. Would definitely recommend this tour!

Yelp
My wife and I just finished the Sunday Brunch Tour, which was our 3rd Indulge Boise Tour. We've been on the Saturday Farmers Market Tour and the Booze n' Bites tour. I can just say, if you are visiting Boise or already live here and are curious about Boise culture and cuisine , Indulge Boise has you covered. We visited 5 different establishments, from iconic to avant garde, sampling a signature menu item from each, great concept. The food part aside, we met some fantastic people and had a great time! Highly recommended, we have given these tours as gifts and will continue to do so!

Sydni E.

Yelp
We had so much fun eating and drinking our way through Bodo with our tour hosts Angela and Taylor!! Learned more about my home town history and discovered new local restaurants to support. Looking forward to doing another one when family comes to town!!

Consumer F.

Yelp
We've been to Boise for business and vacations and recently learned of the Indulge Boise Food Tours. This turned out to be one of our very favorite experiences in Boise on past trips! Angela and the partners she works with were fantastic! We learned a great deal about the city's past history, architecture, and development - but the food and pairings with house specialty drinks was tremendous! We were treated like first class at each establishment and this experience opened our eyes to local treasures we might have otherwise never visited ourselves. This is win-win for both tourist and local businesses, in our opinion. In fact, we returned to make purchase and eat at locations we learned about on the tour. The people in Boise are amazing, friendly and welcoming. Angela is a shining example of what's right in this wonderful city! Along with the penitentiary and capitol tours, this should not be missed while you are in town!

Deborah S.

Yelp
Evangel was our guide today and did a wonderful job! We got lucky as it was just my husband and I on the tour so we went at a nice pace and didn't feel rushed as I have on other food tours I have been on. Amazing food! Got to meet many of the owners of the establishments. Every stop was a hit. Go hungry as the portions were generous at many places and we were so full afterwards we had to get a doggy bag which will be dinner tonight! Learned much about the history of the downtown area and the Basque population in Boise. Highly recommend!!!!

Cathy G.

Yelp
We enjoyed an excellent food tour in Boise! Our teens (14,17) loved it. Tried some great, unique foods. Must say, Boise is a cool little town - loved how quaint it is and the people are awesome. Evangel was our guide and was very knowledgable and shared a lot of history of the city also. Loved learning about the Basque community - intriguing! We tried everything from hip sandwiches to olive oils to bacon to Thai and capping off with some great chocolate! Highly recommend this tour!

Yelp
My husband and I, locals to Boise, took the Historic Downtown Boise tour on Saturday with Angela and it was a really fun, interesting, and delicious experience. We went to 8 different locations ranging from locally owned and operated food trucks and an olive oil experience to fine dining and local cultural sites. Everywhere we went was new to us and the staff at each location were friendly, welcoming and professional. We stopped several different places along the way to learn about the buildings and historical sites that have shaped downtown Boise from its start. We were greeted by Angela at the beginning of the tour with reusable shopping bags (to carry leftovers, and there will be leftovers) that contained info on our stops, a bottle of water for the walk which was much appreciated on a hot day, and hand sanitizer for in between tastings. At the end of the tour we walked away with full bellies, lots of wonderful new information about downtown Boise, and a really cool experience of being tourists in our own town. My husband and I both highly recommend this tour for everyone, tourist or local, and we look forward to more tour selections opening up in the near future.

David S.

Yelp
Excellent value! Excellent service! Excellent tour! Angela does a fabulous job introducing Boise and the great restaurants available here. She's professional and friendly. Not only do you find out about the history of the restaurants and dishes, but you also get to interact with other great people on the tour. Worth every penny!
