Super nice and cozy bar, didn't know they were rated in Asia's Top 50 Bar, wow! Service was warm, very friendly throughout. From drinks recommendations, explaination of how each drinks came about, highlights of each drinks. We end up drinking too many. Bought another 2 full bottles of their signature Tea Spirit crafted by themselves. Overall super nice place, wished we've came other as Mon/Tue as they service food other then these 2 days. Definitely a keeper for many return trips 👍

I’ve always liked this bar and even brought my foreign friends this time. We were in a really good mood before the incident happened, but our second round of drinks was partly forgotten — one drink arrived for me, and my two friends had nothing to drink for over 20 minutes. No one checked on us during that time, and when I finally asked, the staff said, “We missed it, do you still want the drinks?” which felt a bit too casual. The staff apologized and gave us complimentary shots, which we appreciated. Still, the moment left us feeling a little sad, because my friends were really looking forward trying more drinks — and we’re not sure when they’ll get the chance to visit Taiwan again.

Had a great experience at Indulge! Their food is ok, but the drinks are GREAT! Especially ask to try their housemade, Taiwanese tea alcohol infusions, all so good I ended up buying 3 bottles! Also Grace’s service is incredible! So knowledgeable about alcohol, really nice place!!

The food and drinks weren’t anything special and felt overpriced for the quality. We’ve been to plenty Michelin spots, and this place falls far below standard. The booking link on their website mentioned a seasonal menu (see photo below), but when we got there, the bartender told us that was just a promotional content and we had only booked a table - a bit misleading :( The door girl was super friendly, but the bartender’s attitude changed the moment we said the first drink wasn’t really our taste. We promise we gave feedback politely and even ordered another drink after (the $999 guest shift cocktail) which was actually pretty good, but he still turned cold after that. What’s more sad is that right after we posted our review on Google, they sent people to leave bad review on our shop in return. But the funny thing is our shop is now temporarily closed, so it’s obvious the guy didn’t even visit it (also different country LMAO)

Cocktails were off from the first sip, flavors didn’t work together and the decoration looked like it had been tossed on in a hurry. The food didn’t help either, coming out lukewarm and lacking any real flavor. I just didn’t feel worth it for what they’re charging.

Service and cocktails were absolutely fantastic!! The staff explained everything in English for my fiancé. He was very grateful. We all enjoyed the cocktails, especially with Taiwanese tea. Food presentation was very good and meaningful. But unfortunately pork was too fatty and made me feel sick. So we left without finishing everything. We will come back for the cocktail next time.

Very nice experience!! All the dishes were fantastic, well done in terms of flavor and quantity. We ordered four cocktails, two were amazing, two were so-so, in general, the experience was great though. Staffs were super well-trained, everyone was polite, kind, and professional, they can introduce all the items from menus to you and gave good recommendation. Most important, them price was not super high! Love it!

Awesome drinks and very knowledgeable bartenders. We got there right at opening because we didn't have a reservation and only wanted to try the drinks out. It was hard to find since it wasn't lit up yet. Very nice ambiance and delicious drinks.

We make it a point to stop here when visiting Taipei. We initially came here back in 2019 since they were voted one of the best Asian bars. They have an excellent cocktail menu and they make creative drinks. We met the owner Aki Wang and talked for awhile. He is so nice and welcoming. Grace was our bartender and she made me this Old Fashioned infused with tea. It was so good I had to get two of them. I highly recommend coming here to give their cocktails a try.

Ranked #11 on the list of Asia's Best Bars, and having previously secured the title of Best Bar in Taiwan, Indulge is a classy, intimate cocktail bar with beautiful drinks and an interesting choice of menu design (reminiscent of paint swatches at the hardware store in my opinion). Drink names can get a bit confusing since they just flip the order of words. When we came on a weeknight, there was a single bartender who both made the drinks and saw to the tables. He was super knowledgeable and spoke both English and Mandarin (menus are in both English and Chinese as well). The drinks were beautifully crafted! Probably some of the prettiest cocktails I've seen. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to try their food since we were still full from dinner. Overall, great bar to check out for some pretty drinks and cozy ambiance.

A really cool place to get drinks. They have food too but we just came for cocktails after dinner. The vibe is cozy and upscale, and not very loud or crowded. The service is friendly and efficient. You can't go wrong with any of the drinks, they all sounded interesting and every one we tried was great. We were able to get reservations a few weeks in advance easily for a table of 5. When we went on a Sunday at 9PM, it wasn't crowded.

This food in this restaurant is not good enough for how pretentious it is. They try too hard to be experimental, at the cost of taste. Our table tried 10 different dishes and none of them tasted good, besides maybe the uni tomagoyaki. It was like they were trying to be so unique with each ingredient that the dish, as an ensemble, did not go well together. Food menu is confusing and poorly designed. They put aquarium filters in your water, which is really just a choking hazard. Cocktails, however, were good. The ones at their native bar, not the ones from the Monkey Shoulder sponsored traveling bartenders.

This is one of the top ten bar / lounges in Asia. The first floor has a very elegant, white, gently lit atmosphere for you to enjoy your drink or enjoy French inspired meals. The basement is where it's at though with it's dark, speak easy vibe, comfortable lounging bench seating for you and your crew to relax and chat. I was looking for some cognacs and was happy to find their VSOP with mint and lemon extract. The lemon extract turned the cognac a bit light. At first the flavor seems unusual but it grows on you with every sip. So you can enjoy the rich cognac flavor but also enjoy the refreshing flavors of mint and lemon. If in doubt ask the server for recommendations. They will have some amazing drinks to enhance the experience

Indulge Experimental Bistro by Aki Wang has an impressively diverse cocktail menu, and the menu itself was also beautiful to peruse through. They are still featuring the 10th anniversary menu (2009-2019), which is a tribute to Taiwan through five elements: metal, wood, water, fire, and earth. In addition to the new element-inspired cocktails, Indulge also brought back two top cocktails from each of the prior years. I was also excited to try the food menu, but most of the options I wanted were sold out by our 9pm reservation. They did have a simpler late night menu available as well. The food we did get to try was fine, albeit forgettable. I was absolutely blown away by the creative and balanced cocktails here though. From the fragrant oolong and stone fruit notes of Metal No. 1, to the intensely woodsy perfume of Metal No. 2, the range here was incredible. Some of the best cocktails I've ever had!

Came here on my trip to Taiwan and made reservations via my cousin since the website was completely in mandarin and I had a bit of a hard time navigating. When I arrived, there was someone to confirm my reservation, and then I was seated at the bar. I made reservations for either 7:30 or 8, but I didn't think the place was too packed. I'm not sure what the walk in policy is, but the place seemed like it would have room if you wanted to spontaneously visit. I didn't order any food because I had previously ate but all the drinks or curated with care, and I loved at the bartender explained each drink that was presented. If you don't feel like ordering off the menu, you can also order a drink of your choosing such as an old-fashioned. By the time me and my boyfriend left, it was about two hours later, and the place had surprisingly filled up even more, which is surprising but I guess things just run a little later in Taiwan. But overall would highly recommend this unique bar to anyone in the area.

Creative, inventive, and pretty good tasting food along with a fancy drink menu. While pricey (for Taiwan at least), I was pleasantly surprised by our experience at Indulge. Service was welcoming and friendly. Our Mandarin is not as good as we'd like but the menu and staff are pretty good with English so non-Mandarin speakers should be just fine here. Our only real issue when we came is that a number of the items on the menu were not available due to supply issues, which is a shame as most everything we tried was pretty darn good.

The ambiance walking in was clean , bright and modern atmosphere. As soon as I sat down I was greeted personally and handed menus one for cocktails another for food. I wish I could remember the name of the drink but it had lotus in it and was a sweet cocktail . The next cocktail I Indulged in has a cute cut out butterfly on it . This drink was slightly sweet with a fresh taste. I didn't get a chance to try the food this time but I will definitely be back to try it out. This bar/restaurant is voted 1 of 50 Top Asian Bars must try's ! Totally lived up to the expectation . Each drink is about 450 NTD which is a little pricey for the average prices . But totally worth it considering the experience.

I saw this place ranked 4rd on the top 50 best bars in Asia list, so thought that I definitely need to come try it out! While the experience was great, the drinks did not live up to my expectations, especially for its price. I have visited other bars in Taipei that made the top 50 best bars in Asia (e.g. bar mood), and this place is significantly more expensive. Most drinks are 450 + 10% NT, and some are even more than 500 + 10% NT. Most of the other bars in Taipei have drink prices somewhere around 200~350, so I was a little surprised. I ordered off the first page of the drink menu and got one called Women's Taste, which the waiter said is one of their most popular cocktails. While it was really smooth and tasty, it didn't taste too different from Bar Mood's, which is a lot cheaper. I also ordered the Wagyu and angel hair in chicken soup with some chili pepper. The soup was refreshing to drink and does not cover the fresh taste of the wagyu. It went really well with the angel hair and wagyu. The wagyu itself was also really tender! Loved this dish a lot!

Due to the delta virus/ COVID Me and my sister decided to order their monthly special kits to home. The overall experience is fabulous! We really like the fish eggs in the appetizer and salad, the shrimp is smoky and flavorful. The ribs are soft but juicy! We hope we had more next time! The pork sauce for bread is my sister's favorite, she almost licked all of it in the container haha. The only thing we found a bit weird is the soup, the whole set is western style but the soup is Asian style, maybe we can have some chowder soup? Will definitely go back again!

Absolutely amazing experience. The service was impeccable and the bar tender really knew the menu and made things to our tasting. He has worked. There since they opened and you can tell he loves what he does. Consistently checked if we liked our drinks and wanted adjustments. Must try the scent of a woman and if you are into tea ask for a tea cocktail. 10/10

Amazing place for cocktails! My friends and I visited after reading about it being one of the top bars in the world. That distinction was definitely well-earned. Their cocktail menu has a dizzying array of inventive drinks. Presentation and flavors were top-notch. Service was also excellent. We planned on having one round, ended up having three! We were seated on ground level at a comfy couch/stool/table setup, but there is a speakeasy downstairs that also looks cool. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Taipei!

One of my favorite lounges in Taiwan. Came for drinks and sat at the bar on a week night. The place wasn't too crowded. It was interesting seeing the bartender in action. Friendly service. He suggested several cocktails for us and they were all delicious and fresh. The drinks were unique in taste with beautiful presentation. Its always fun to try new drinks.

I heard of this place as being rated as a top 50 bar globally. Having been here twice and have had tried multiple drinks each time, I can say this place definitely lives up to the hype. Overall, what makes this place unique is the attention to details on the whole experience and the distinct flavors of each of their cocktails. I can guarantee you, you've never tried drinks like this. Furthermore, they don't have your typical mainstream drinks, so keep an open mind. Majority of the drinks though are on the sweeter side, so if you're not a fan, then I would say skip this place. Regarding the food, it's not only authentically Taiwanese, but it's broken down by regions within Taiwan. Overall this is one of my top 3 bars in Taiwan. The other two, just as a reference, is Washu and Barmood. Pro tip: there is a speakeasy lounge inside the bar and downstairs.

The bartenders craft their drinks with care and actually speak decent English. I tried three different cocktails and all were delicious. I tried a chicken appetizer and it was good but a little overcooked. The next time I am in Taipei, i would return.

Here you get to experience north east west and south authentic food of Taiwanese food. Taps style. Great food and great drinks! Must stop by!!

Last year, my friend and I came across this place while on a bender. I must say, we kept coming here for nightcaps every night after that while in town. The staff is superb & very sweet. Drinks are innovative & classy. The guys even participate in cocktail contests, which is pretty cool. Would definitely go back, should I ever be in Taipei again. Loved.

This place is hard to find but recommended by a friend. The atmosphere was quiet and lovely downstairs. The cocktails here were utterly divine and absolutely beautiful. I ordered the Pouchong Cocktail (more than one) which was fashioned from some kind oolong tea liquer. It didn't taste like tea though it had a hint of tea but was magical. My friend ordered Scent of A Woman and the apple slice garnish was beautiful. We also stayed for dinner, which was a little more spotty. I ordered the consommé soup with wagyu beef. It was good but wasn't amazing. Unfortunately I had to eat it almost cold because it took 15 to 20 minutes to bring out everyone's dinner. (And of course it's rude to eat when other people haven't been served.). I don't know why they served us this way. I'm still giving 5 stars because the cocktails were out of this world and the servers were lovely.

My mom and I spent our last night in Taipei here. It was also our first mother daughter bar date! We came on a weekday night rather early, so it was pretty empty. We took seats at the bar and our bartender was the sweetest - he spoke English and loved chatting it up with my mom and I! We bombarded him with questions about liquor and he answered all of them with charm. It was quite a show watching him make our cocktails. At the end of the night, he made us a complimentary drink that tasted like lychee. Indulge was a great place to end our short stay in Taipei :)

One of the top 50 best bars in Asia 2019! The cocktails were amazing and beautiful. They looked like pieces of art. The waitress was sweet and gave us suggestions. She even let us take one of their English menus home! The place had nice music, and the ambiance was relaxing. There were 2 stories and we went to the basement. Pricing was okay, but the experience was very memorable and I wish I could try more of their cocktails.

Came here to meet up with friends who had all flown back to Taipei from across America. Apparently they just finished a remodel or was under new management and we're waiving the service charge. I looked up the reviews and the lead bartender has won awards. He wasn't in the night we were there. We had 10 people and arrived about 10pm. Ended up staying through closing at 2am. The cocktail drinks were unique. Beer and wine were also ordered. They were also accommodating to our pregnant friend and made non alcoholic versions. Service was incredibly slow for a night that wasn't very busy. We saw the bartenders and wait staff standing around and had to remind them on several occasions after considerable time waiting that we were still waiting for our drinks. We joked that the service charge was being waived for lack of service.

Service: Fantastic! The waitresses were very helpful and welcoming. Consistently checked up on our table. Atmosphere: Dark, good ambience. Not too loud. Drinks: The drinks were very unique. I can see why it got voted one of the top bars in Asia. Their menu is very extensive and unique. If you get overwhelmed, don't hesitate to ask for help! Price: VERY PRICEY. I was surprised to find a bar/lounge in Taiwan 450NTD+ per drink. This is not to say their drinks are not worth the price tag, but you should be aware of what you are getting yourself into =) Overall: Recommend if you are looking for a unique cocktails and nice environment to hang out with your friends, but don't mind paying a premium for the drinks.

Found this place on Yelp. Some back alley and a bit tough to find without gps. Came in at 930 and it was empty. By 10pm this place was packed. The place was really nice. House music in the back ground and a ton of drink choices. The drinks are made professionally. Not your average bar tender. Very skilled. The only thing preventing this place from a 5 star is the speed the drinks come out. It's about 10 minutes after you order. I personally was there to party and go a bit hard since I'm on vacation and I need to order a new drink every time my next one got to the table. I didn't try the food. The Moscow mule and old fashion is made perfectly. I highly recommend!

Indulge was an awesome experience top to bottom literally. After enjoying our cocktails at the bar in the beautifully appointed restaurant, Stanley the manager, brought us downstairs to tour the private bar and tasting room where they also have barrels with some of their cocktails mixed and aging. This downstairs bar can be staffed for private functions or used for overflow if desired by the management. I can vouch for the cocktails we tried but not the food unfortunately as we had reservations at another highly rated venue. In retrospect, I really wish we had stayed at Indulge to eat too. They take enormous care in the menu, preparation and presentation of their very craft cocktails which are altered a couple times a year. They have a selection of bitters, both home made and commercial that tops any bar I've ever been to or have heard about. Their selection of liquor runs the gamete from well known to top tier. They also carefully add other ingredients to cocktails that I've never experienced like Witch Hazel and Black Walnut Oil (see photo captions). indulge has received recognition as the #2 top bar in Asia and one of the top 50 bars worldwide. Overall, the drinks were amazing, the service couldn't be better or more friendly and personable. I will definitely be back again and look forward to staying for dinner next time.

They have the best hot royal sangria in Taipei :) Haven't tried everything on the menu, but I've been here a couple of times and was never disappointed. Def a must-try.

My review is on the cocktails and dessert. I also had dinner here and the food was OK but nothing to rave about. I had a Summer Breeze cocktail and it came in a really cool vase wrapped with a London Subway map. It was delicious and refreshing! The only way to understand it is to see the photo. For dessert I had a panna cotta that mimicked a pineapple cake. It was divine! I would return to Indulge again for the drink or dessert but not the food.

Great bar, great staff, and an excellent selection of cocktail. It's a regular restaurant but after 9pm, they dim down the lights and it becomes a cocktail lounge.

Who knew there were craft cocktails in Taipei?! This place is hard to find, and we only knew about it because of my cousin. It's an alley off of 復興南路 between the 大安 (Da an) and 忠孝復興 (zhong xiao fu xin) stations. The guys here speak good English and actually know how to do mixology. They have their own craft cocktail menus with a focus on vodka and gin based drinks, but they did a great job with bourbon and rye based stuff that I asked for. They actually use fresh fruit and citrus, which I didn't expect to find at a bar in Taiwan. If you don't like something, they'll remake it, and they can make it extra strong if you want. They also had some interesting whiskies to sip like the Kavalan Podium. In the end, we had 7 drinks, and it was around $100 US, which was pretty reasonable, I thought. They take reservations, but definitely sit at the bar to watch them. They use proper mixology techniques and have a good collection of stuff to make drinks. This will be my new go to place! Barnett did a great job taking care of us! Bonus - they take credit card!

Good for drink. Made the reservation for celebrating a friend got admitted to grad school. The ambiance was five star. As they said in the menu, they want guests to feel like home and they did a great job for that part. I have heard about their collection of cocktails. It was kind of overwhelming to have so many choices at the same time but our waiter gave detailed introduction to each drink we were interested in. Honestly I didn't pay much attention when he was addressing what kind of liquor they use and all the differences and comparison of all five cocktails on that page... I do like my mojito though. It's really sophisticated and the pop taste had been eliminated to the minimum, which was great! When we were choosing the meal, our waiter once again gave a (lengthy) introduction . He does remember all the details and how to guide the customers in this regard. But it's hard for me to think a person professional or considerate when he just memorize the information and deliver it. (And I have already listened him telling the exact same paragraphs to the table next to us before my friend arrived!) So all the appetizers came in small portion. I was a little bit disappointed by the mussels and squid stew. It's too much like a dish by a neighborhood restaurant... I was also a little bit upset when the salad came in such a smalllll portion. They didn't have chicken that night (due to bird flu) so we had pork knuckle instead. It was very chewy, stuffed, and not so bad. The total ran up to NTD 2500. I am not sure if this is reasonable or not but I'd probably not coming here for food again.

A couple of month ago I ran into this bar by accident changing from one hotel to the other. I was lucky to get a free seat at the bar w/o having a reservation. All other seats were taken despite the fact that it was middle of the week. I looked through the menu and found many wonderful cocktail creations including some with great history. Unfortunately my favorite one was not listed. The bar tender approach me and I asked "Can you do Corpse Reviver?" He replied with "Number 2?" - Welcome to cocktail heaven! Food is delicious too BTW.

During my night stroll throughout Dongqu, I saw this place and was pretty intrigued by it. I liked its atmosphere and the menu looked superb! So, for my birthday this year, I decided to have my dinner here. This place did not disappoint. They have a downstairs area for private events which has a mod and hip vibe to it. Nice for special events or birthdays! My friends and I ordered many different things, and loved them all! Got a few pastas and risottos to share, along with appetizers, soups, and cocktails! Among some of the things we ordered were the salmon appetizer, which was light and fresh. The tomato basil spaghetti with shrimp and caviar was tart and had the perfect balance of sauce and bite to it. I had the "Fragrance" cocktail which consisted of gin, dita, lemon juice, white apple juice, and fresh grapefruit peel and zest. I'm a sucker for grapefruit, so I chugged that baby down in a matter of minutes. The night was filled with laughter and delicious food. I plan on going back very soon. One of my favorites thus far!

Stunning but expensive drinks, even by US standards. I was blown away when they brought a teapot with instant scented smoke to pour around my drink.

This place is amazing! Bartender Chen offered us great advice on wonderful local food creations and pairing cocktails that were so unique and flavorful. This place was a recommendation from our favorite bartender in Tokyo - and he was spot-on with this one. Try the Wagyu beef, milk fish, or one of the other daily specials. You can't go wrong. Then the cocktails.....bursting with flavors, ranging from fresh, sour, sweet, strong, or whatever your pallet desires. What an awesome experience!

This place is really cute and has a nice ambiance. The drinks are all pretty decent but a bit pricey. I ordered a cold sangria but it didn't taste like sangria at all. The servers were all nice and professional.

Yum! They make a wonderfully delicious fruity cocktail. The service is impeccable; the servers are very friendly and gave many recommendations of their wine/cocktail selection and menu. Went on a Saturday night with a party of six and they were able to accommodate us with a corner booth table without reservations, even when they were busy! The ambiance is lovely -- candlelit, quite hum of conversations, but not loud. Will definitely be back next time and make a reservation! :)

One of the best lounge bars in Taipei that also serves good food. The place is on the small side, so its usually full, try some of the cocktails and fusion food offerings.
