Inema Arts Centre

I visited Inema Art Center recently, and it was an amazing experience! The space is filled with vibrant, thought-provoking artwork that beautifully reflects Rwanda’s culture. The local artists’ talent really shines here, and the atmosphere is so welcoming. Definitely a must see in Kigali!

The gallery is not very big. I loved the art though and the art projects happening . The staff are cool too . They offer complimentary coffee and tea too !

The place is cute but we felt a bit scamed. Not mention of a price anywhere on the website or on site but 15.000rwf fees entry, (30k for two!) If we had seen that, we would not have come :/ 15k is really expensive for just 3 rooms. We visited other free art center that was really good. The paintings are really expensive too, feel like this place is for rich tourists only, too bad. I wonder if the local pay the same price too or if its only for "foreigners" So, great place if its free or less expensive, but considering the price, not worth it, sorry :(

Inspiring place - fully recommended to pay a visit. There is amazing art everywhere, kids rehearse local dances at afternoon and the vibe on Thursday happy hour is great. Hopefully will be back!

Nice place but I feel it's a bit too commercial. Seems they ask different price to different person. We were told 10000 RWF per person. I rather recommend Ivuka Arts (also called NP arts) which is just 10mins walk from here. There is much more local and real. No entry fee, they have much more paints, the people who draw the paints explain the idea behind and you can see real artist painting there. They also organize dance and paint workshop for local children. If you have money, better to donate what you want there to help real people.

Interesting art pieces made by the Rwandan youth. The 5 stars 🌟 are also definitely for the burundian guy who welcomes visitors. He was very polite and friendly, gave a nice introduction to the exhibits, and reminded people that the big dog at the entrance was friendly 😀 Also, they sell art tools. If you are looking for canvases and paint 🎨 pass by!

great place. enjoyed the ambience. fabulous artwork. you can also purchase merchandise prepared by local women. the artworks are variant in methods and experimental. canvas stretches and recycled material, and children's art is available. it has a coffee shop. a good place to lounge. we were recommended this place and we’re happy we made the decision to visit in kigali.
