Inhouse Hotel Grand

Rooms are great, clean and comfortable. I do wish lotion was included with the hand wash, body wash and shampoo. The robes were tiny, definitely not for a more typical Western body size. The breakfast was consistently good with a small selection. I found the sweetened fruit juices too sugary for my taste. Good coffee. When I first stayed there, the coffee, tea and snack amenities were refreshed each day and included sugar and stir sticks. Subsequent visits did not. The price is quite reasonable and the staff friendly and helpful. The bathroom mirrors have fun messaging and the bed headboards have great little reading lights. The vein matching on the tiles throughout the hotel are well done. The showers are great! Some rooms have nice city views. Unfortunately I didn’t have time for a tub soak or pool time. Maybe next time. Laundry service or laundromat are close by.

Nice rooms and a good price if you're getting the weekday special. Front desk staff were professional, but the cleaning staff came into our room even though the do not disturb light was on. The buffet staff was hiding behind the bar, eating breakfast. Fine. But, it was not clear where we should go and seemed quite unprofessional.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were warm, attentive, and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The location was perfect—convenient to local attractions, restaurants, and transportation. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches and attention to detail throughout the property. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable experience!

Great place would definitely return. Only complaint - the lifts/ elevators are terrible. Three different ones with three different buttons. They need a software / system upgrade that syncs for certain floors if you press a button e.g. if you are on level 6 and press down, all 3 should sync and first one should come. Otherwise if you press one button, you wait for THAT lift. If you press all 3, after the first one comes the next two will also come, slowing down for everyone else.

We were treated with excellent staff and service. We left sunglasses in a taxi and the receptionist helped us to locate and then pick them up from the police station. They were super helpful even though we had some language barriers :-) The rooms were large and comfortable. The restaurant staff was amazing.

The hotel has a nice lobby and an open area for dining , which is great for people who are claustrophobic . Although abit more crowded in the weekend , its not overwhelming ||For breakfast, guests who enjoy porridge and the related condiments would love it ! Those looking for western style breakfast would be disappointed . ||The welcome drink was abit so so and although offered for two nights , it was for one drink per room which don’t make a lot of sense as there are two to a room usually. You could ask to have the welcome drinks for two night packed into one night so your roommate could come along . In this regard the hotel should be more generous, to allow each room two drinks for two nights . Anyway, the cocktail drink offered wasn’t that memorable. This is an area of improvement ||For the service desk, staff members are generally friendly. Special mention for the staff by the name of Ona. When we enquired for the nearest hospital, Ona proactively asked the reason for us wanting to go to the hospital A &E. When told that my fellow traveller had an accidental fall when she was about to take a bath in the hotel bathroom and hurt her shoulder she suggested that we visit the orthopaedic clinic opposite the hotel ! This actually saved us lots of time and we could get specialist care immediately vs going to the hospital||We would suggest the hotel put anti slip strip on the floor door frame of the shower room as the surface made of metal is indeed very slippery when wet . The anti slip strip should also be applied to the bath room floor which is slippery due to the type of material used although an anti slip Mat was provided .|My friend who fell said she slipped and fell when she stepped on the floor door frame Also, the bath tubdid not have any handle making the climb in very precarious for older folks||In terms of room size, the hotel’s standard room is surprisingly big . We appreciate that it has a sofa and a table which comes in handy for friends to enjoy Taiwanese night market snacks or snacks from the convenience stores near the hotel ( about 5 minutes walk) . The bathroom came with both a shower room and bathroom tub , which is generous for hotel of its price range. The hotel room has free drinks and snacks but not replenished daily even though we stayed there for three nights - such items should be replenished even if the guests did not consume it as we paid the same room rate and every day should be treated as a new stay||Location wise it’s not too bad but it’s not near the major department store like Sogo and quite far from Costco. There are two convenience stores around the hotel and a night market about 10 mins taxi ride away . Around the hotel , there are quite a number of foot massage parlour but the most decent one is called '湯村.slightly more expensive but a lot cleaner and more privacy than all other around the hotel . Guest of this hotel gets 10 percent off. The hotel should collaborate more and obtain more discount for your guests staying there ||For those who want to be right at the heart of shopping centres should look at the Splendour hotel , which is located opposite Sogo . From this hotel , it’s about 30 minutes walk to Sogo using Google map . There is also a very good local steak house call 赤鬼 around 10-15 mins walk from the hotel ||Didn’t try the hotel gym and pool so can’t comment||One more thing, the hotel is not generous when it comes to checkout time . It only allow a 30 mins grace after which you would be charged twd700 per hour. For guest who stays for more than a night, I though that’s not very generous of the hotel - an area of improvement to consider ||All in all it’s still a value for money stay at the hotel

First thing , need to thank the counter staff Ona for her good recommendation. My friend who had an accidental fall in the bathroom of the hotel needed medical attention. We wanted to go to the nearest hospital, which there was one near the hotel, but Ona on understanding my friend’s condition, suggested to go to the orthopaedic clinic which is just a stone throw aqua from the hotel. We could just walk there to have her condition examined very quickly ! Had we gone to the hospital A&E not sure how long we would have to wait ! So special thanks to Ona for being proactive and enquire more about the needs of the customers and giving the good advice !My friend stepped on the door frame of the bath room shower and it was slippery after her room mate had a bath. Would suggest the hotel to paste an anti slip on the shower room door frame Around the hotel is a great massage place call 湯 村。this place is slightly more expensive but hotel guest has 10 percent discount . The other foot massage parlours around are not as good as this one which has a private room for customers and the staff there professional . Would be great if the hotel could work with this place to get an even greater discount for hotel guests. For breakfast those that love traditional Chinese breakfast of porridge with condiments would love it ! Those the prefers western would be disappointed ! Hotel is very strict about late check out. For guests staying for more than one night , I think the hotel should be more generous especially if the checkout is on Sunday as I expect there would not be so many guests Sunday to Monday Overall the stay was comfortable, even for their standard room they have shower with bath tub, a small table with sofa .. this is very considerate , as in Taiwan , it a always great to buy late night supper from the night market and eat in at the hotel room ! There are convenience stall around the hotel and even a place selling ********* style barbecue
