Inigo Jones Slate Works

Really nice self guided tour with the opportunity to chisel your own slate that you get to keep. I came with my 5 year old who was able to enjoy the quiz and that slate chiseling (with help!) though I don't think she got too much from the exhibits themselves.

My wife and I visited last week and went on the tour. It was really interesting and lasted about an hour with a great audio guide along with practical things to do. I highly recommend visiting and at the end looking around the shop. We will certainly visit again if in the area.

Visited today & able to bring our dog in too. Took about an hour to walk around, very interesting to learn the history. Given an audio guide which was very good. Were also give a small piece of slate to engrave with a chisel yourself. There are piles upon piles of pieces of slate everywhere, I guess waiting to be used. There were a couple of tradesmen working but they didnt interact. Shop is very good with some beautiful pieces. Cafè on site with indoor & outside seating & a butchers. Needs a bit of a tidy up tbh but interesting to visit. Cost £7 each for concessions.

A fascinating look into the Welsh Slate industry,starting with a short video the audio guided tour has lots of interesting information about the Slate works.the gift shop has lots of very nice souvenirs and the staff are exceptional,if you are in the area pop in for a visit.

This was a very interesting and informative tour where you could take your time as there was no restrictions. Staff are very helpful. All included your own personalised slate. Just excellent 👌

Absolutely an interesting experience having visited the slate mines.

Lovely slate shop, able to take a tour and learn the history. Great shop for slate products at good prices as well. Dog friendly also. Worth a visit.
