If you want a hotel in a quiet, apparently safe dead end street in Botafogo, consider this one. If you think you should do the paperwork of check-in instead of the reception, this is your place. If you think, reception does not need to have change when you pay cash, this is a place for you. If you think the "coffee and tea" offered in the self-service kitchen do not need to be replaced in time, this is your place. If you do not need space in front of the sink or to reach the toilet, let Booking, the platform that does not publish all reviews, assign you the tiniest double room encountered in 2+ wks of Brazil. If you do not need windows that can be locked, come here. In brief: come without expectations, and you will not be disappointed.

It was my 1st time in Rio and my 1st time at the Injoy Hostel. ||The staff made my experience amazing. Anna: Who was the head manager made my stay very enjoyable and gave me information about all the best places to visit. Even went as far as to help me even when she was overwhelmed with work. When Anna wasn't available, I was directed to the right locations by Leo and Beatriz. Leo and Beatriz told me the best places to shop and find discount prices and told me what tourist traps to stay away. Both were a very vibrant and exuberant I appreciate the high energy. (P.S and the lead Precisilla (sorry if I spelled the name wrong) for giving me a new Brazilian playlist to enjoy.) The staff had the ability to at personalizing the experience. ||||The room was clean, superb cabins, not expansive; the staff is highly skilled and professional, can help with anything, and recommend exciting activities. I can easily say one of the best hostels I stayed with. ||||Location in Botafogo, and it's easy to get to any site you're interested.

A great place that’s really close to the main sights, as well clean and with a nice common area. The staff were really helpful and friendly - Beatriz in particular was exceptional in how much help she gave us during our stay. Would definitely return!

I'm still staying at Injoy and will leave on Monday but felt compelled to write a review even more I leave (hopefully not jinxing it). The location is convenient and very close to the metro stations and local eateries. I felt safe in the neighbourhood when leaving and coming back. ||Front desk was super helpful, helping me to print stuff and the overall dorm was impeccable with regular cleaning and daily bed making. I'm enjoying my stay here and would recommend it to other travellers.

Stayed at this hostel over NYE. Location was great, right next to transit plus easy for taxis and Uber’s. The street also felt very safe as there is a guard at the front plus locked gate getting into the hostel. The 4 bed female dorm was basic but comfortable, breakfast was pretty standard. Bathroom could have been cleaner! We did not find this to be an overwhelmingly social hostel. All in all an OK stay

Really great hostel. Wasn't noisy like others I have stayed at. Room was lovely and clean, bed and shower were great too. Breakfast was also really fantastic with a good selection. Staff were helpful and able to guide us to some nice places to eat and book tours of the city for us.

Good design and atmosphere, but the rooms could be more comfortable. The beds are a bit hard and the air conditioning can be loud. The doors don't isolate from noise well. Friendly staff. Nice for groups of friends on a budget.

Booked through booking.com have confirmation and completed a google docs to check in, when we got there we were told because they couldn’t contact us in the last 7hrs that our booking had been cancelled, refused less of the confirmation and valid credit card on booking.com. The receptionist was argumentative and offered little apologises or alternatives. We were able to stay for two nights but the third which is nye had been cancelled which isn’t great. The room was small and not that clean there were hairs in the bathroom and the floor was dusty- the bed bases had all sorts of horrible looking stains and the the paint work esp. the windows/doors needs updating. We were woken by guests talking loudly at 3am as the sound travels everywhere. The location is good however which I think is the only positive thing I can say.
